These dynamic storage heaters are unbelievable! Having replaced all my night storage heaters with these I am already feeling the benefit.
No more waking up sweating at 4am because my night storage heaters would start kicking out heat as they charge.
No more opening of the grate to release that last pathetic bit if heat from the blocks at 7pm as I sat there shivering in 3 layers and going to bed at 9pm just to get out of the cold
No more rolling out the 2200w oil filled heater to supplement my storage heaters.
I now have an external thermostat in every room which can be linked to 1-7 heaters per unit. They are fully programmable for the whole week and you can manually adjust the room temperature in seconds.
They were easy to install (2 large hanging screws straight into the wall and the heater simply sits on them with 2 bottom brackets which rest against the wall. My house is a 90s build and all internal walls are blocks. If you have a stud wall then you will need support feet at an additional cost. Then you either plug them straight into a mains socket or wire them straight into a fuse spur.
Since buying my house 3 years ago I have hated the winter as my old storage heaters simply could not do the job and cost me a fortune to run.
NovoRad have changed all that. Tonight it was a comfortable 21 degrees all evening. The heaters turn on and heat the clay core in about 15 minutes. The heat pumps out of the top and circulated in the room. Once the thermostat reached temperature require the heaters switch off but due to the clay core the heat continues to kick out until depleted and the room drops in temperature (0.5 degrees C). Then the heater will switch on again breifley to get the room up to the desired temperature again.
As an indicator of his efficient these heaters are, this evening I calculated that my heaters were on in the living room for 52 minutes between 6pm and 10pm and kept it at a steady 21C for 4 hours.
Best home improvement I have ever purchased!
