Horrible experience / cancelled flight.
Horrible experience. They sent a text at 02.40am to tell us are 10.00am flight was cancelled when we were already at the airport staying overnight as check-in would be around 07.00am. No explanation given. And they put us on a 20.45 flight at night instead. We ended up going back home and returning to Gatwick in the evening. So much money wasted. No apology. Opening a dispute. They have already claimed there was a Technical Issue to fob us off with getting compensation. Strange they didn't say there was a technical issue at 02.40am. And how would they know there was a technical issue prior to 02.40am for a flight that leaves at 10.00am? Further, they did not put me in the seat I had paid extra for on the later flight. Flight, back from Norway was also delayed this time they announced due to Technical Issues. Are these planes falling apart? And no Norwegian staff at Gatwick to help. Absolutely will never fly with them again, but I really doubt they care.

Great airline
Great airline, always fly with them and never have experienced anything bad. However be wear its hard to find staff within gatwick airport to help you if you miss flights ect..
Misleading & poor customer service
I thought I needed a last minute travel with Norwegian, and found an available flight. Norwegian advertised with strong, green letters that "Free 24 hours cancellation after booking", and since I did not know how many tickets they had available, I went a head and booked it.
It turned out that I did not need to travel, and I went and cancelled it. At this point, I only got refunded the taxes. When I asked Norwegian, they referred me to a T&C page that states that "if it is less than 4 hours to travel by the time of booking, the 24 hours cancellation policy does not apply".
This is at best misleading advertisement. I assumed this was a problem with their website, and have been in contact with multiple customer service agents. However, they all refer me to the T&C page and does not want to resolve the issue.

Absolutely appalling experience. My flight was cancelled and I arrived over 5 hours late to Oslo on the next one, completely missing an important event. Multiple emails have gone unanswered, and there is zero communication from customer service.
They have refused compensation based on extraordinary circumstances for which they have not provided any details (these should be very specific criteria). No passengers were not notified at the time of the reason, or subsequently since. This should have been communicated on the app as this issue clearly applies to everyone. I have written to the CEO (Geir Karlsen) and the CAA to appeal.
Feels like a scam, they are clearly banking on many people just accepting this.
Norwegian Air shuttle is unreliable, unresponsive, and shows no respect for passengers’ time or rights, and an embarrassment to Norway. I strongly advise others to think twice before using.
Two hour wait for luggage
Had to wait almost two hours for luggage and lost my connecting buss. Do they apologise? no. Did they keep us informed? No. Were they willing to cover any cost due to their failures? Of course not. What they did do was lie. "It will be here in 10 minutes" they said. 40 minutes before we saw anything. To late for me to cancel my tickets costing me an extra 60 euro and two more hours of waiting. Never flying with them again.
Bicycle transport
I booked a bicycle transport with Norwegian in June 2025 and paid 400 SEK (about USD 40) for the service. However, at the airport, the staff refused to accept my bike, citing packing requirements that I had never been informed of in the booking process or in any communication from the airline.
I contacted customer service multiple times but only received generic replies that failed to address my actual concerns. My request for a refund was denied on the grounds that the service was "non-refundable" – even though it was never delivered.
I find this highly unprofessional and misleading. I would not recommend purchasing any add-on services from Norwegian if you expect clear information or responsible customer support in case something goes wrong.
Flight fine, booking error
Flight itself was fine, but we had trouble with our booking. Somehow my name was put on both the tickets I ordered, even though I KNOW I triplechecked all info before ordering. Custumer service was quick, but the employee seemed utterly bored and disinterested in helping. Ended up having to pay extra to fix it, resulting in quite an expensive trip.

A short break in Oslo
Short trip to and from Oslo. Both flights were fault-free and better than on-time. The interaction with the cabin-crew was flawless and they were efficient and polite.
Poor communication
I unfortunately had an issue with my travel documents, at no time during the booking was this highlighted until I got to the gate at which stage was too late. Had I been informed at an earlier stage maybe something could've been done to rectify the situation and avoid me not boarding my flight. Very disappointed with this airline as my past experience had been mainly positive.

When most of us passengers we said hello eller hei she stare cold no gesture of nice and or at least respond to a short velkommen. I recently flew with Norwegian on what was apparently a brand-new aircraft, only a week old. While the plane itself looked clean and modern, the cabin air conditioning was far too strong and uncomfortably cold. Despite trying to block the overhead vent, cold air continued to blow directly toward my head for the duration of the flight.
Shortly after landing, I developed ear pain that lasted for two days, later diagnosed as otitis media—likely triggered by the harsh airflow combined with cabin pressure changes. This significantly impacted my post-travel plans and could have been avoided with more thoughtful climate control.
For such a new aircraft, I expected better environmental design. Strong, unmodifiable airflow like this is not just uncomfortable, it’s a potential health hazard. Norwegian should seriously consider adjusting the air settings or giving passengers better control over their immediate environment.
Entirely blocked from making changes to…
Entirely blocked from making changes to my booking because you have to create a profile with them first. During profile creation the email activation message never arrives (also not in Spam). I also tried creating an account with another email, but that blocks making changes to the booking as well because email has to be the same as the one used during the booking.
Phone support is jammed on weekends, no way to get through without spending you day in the line.

Have now been sitting in Norwegian flight D83631 for more than an hour in the airport in Nice. It’s 30 degrees outside and the male steward are more busy flirting with two girls than making sure the passengers are ok. There are not even being handed out water or anything as compensation for the delay.

Why is this company even still alive?? Apart from all the complaints other people have posted. I paid 7 **** euros to be able to use a ''fast'' wifi and I wasnt able to post an important 3 minute video to instagram during the hour that the wifi lasted.......... Websites loaded like ****. I had to spent another 7 euros to use the wifi on the laptop instead and again same story. Give me back my 15 euros and I will remove this review but you probably dont care cause your reputation on trust pilot is bad enough hahahahhhahaha
