Won’t be using this company. Had a cold caller come to our door asking if we’d be interested in having our drive done. I explained that it’s on our list to do in the future, but that we were needing to save up first. He explained that they can offer credit options and was quite insistent that we have a free no obligation quote, so that’s what we did.
On the day, the sales person took us through a PowerPoint presentation and showed us some samples, then we went outside to measure up and discuss options. By now an hour and a half had passed, then we got down to the price.
The lady explained she would give us two prices- one quote valid for 6 months, another quote with 25% off if we could fit around other jobs being done in the area in the next few weeks.
The full price was quite frankly extortionate especially compared with the size/price/value of our house. The 25% off was still well over what we thought the job was worth but we wanted to look into it properly. We took the risk of the 25% off not being available and agreed to be back in touch soon.
A quick google told us that for the type of driveway and prep work that needed doing, we should be looking into the region of £160 per square meter. The 25% off ‘special offer’ NGHI offered us? Over £300 per square meter. So we politely declined.
A couple of days later, the company called asking for feedback on the sales person, which I gave. Upon hearing that the price was too much, she told us that more work had been booked in our area so there were more discounted slots available (funny that, when the salesperson said their availability was limited and we might miss out). She also offered for a surveyor to come out and see if they could offer more discounts and get the price down for us.
At this point I had enough and told her we refuse to work with companies like this on principle. The original price is obviously inflated so that they can drop it, and drop it, and drop it further hoping you’ll believe you’re getting a bargain. These offers are strictly limited to put pressure on and make you agree to sign up then and there- yet when you don’t there are even better offers available?
When the time comes, we’ll be sticking to a local firm that gives us one reasonable price and sticks to it!!

To clarify, our quotations are not based purely on a square metre rate. Prices vary depending on the full specification discussed, including the design, materials, edging details, preparation required, the condition of the existing base and the guarantee-backed installation being quoted for. For that reason, comparing a bespoke quotation against a general online guide price is not always a like-for-like comparison.
We also do not expect customers to make an on-the-spot decision. Our appointments are free and no obligation. From time to time, where customers are flexible and able to help us fit installations alongside other nearby jobs, we may offer an additional discount. This is because it allows us to work more efficiently and reduce costs to the business, and we are happy to pass those savings on to our customers. These options are explored to see whether there may be a more suitable price or timing available, not to mislead anyone.
The designer who attended your appointment was relatively new, so our follow-up call was made both to ask for feedback and to double-check that everything, including the measurements discussed, had been handled correctly.
We are sorry that this came across differently in your case. We do take feedback on our sales approach seriously, and your comments will be fed back internally. We wish you all the best with your future project.
They did what they said they were going…
They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. The job was completed to a high standard, on time. The back-office functions supported the team doing the works, well. Overall, I found them a great company to deal with.

Amazing staff and quality produced at finish
From start to finish I have not been able to fault any of the work that has been done at the property.i had a composite fence. I have infact had three patio areas installed a third One being finished shortly.. I have had a rolling garage door completed. And will soon have a azzurro blue driveway. So as you can see the job and quality is of such a high standard I have given them work time and time again.
My back garden in my opinion looks stunning now compared to what it looked like before!!
The office have been great with me from phone calls to talking me through document signing.
The surveyors have been prompt, polite and very understanding when I’ve needed things explaining.
The workmen have turned up on time, respectful of property and had to work hard. I’ve never heard them complain once even when there was concrete in the garden under grass that shouldn’t have been! So I can’t fault the company or their staff in any way shape or form!

2 hours of my life I won’t get back
I contacted Next Generation after seeing their work on another house. A sales man came took up 2 hours of our life with a power point presentation to tell me that my 79sqm driveway would cost £43,000 and that didn’t include any landscaping I wanted just digging everything out and laying down the resin. My extension the sales man was sat in didn’t even cost me that to build. A week later someone from the company rang me to offer me NEARLY half off. I told her no thanks!! This company is an absolute rip off! The half price should have been the starting quote!

We are sorry you feel this way, however your review gives a misleading impression of both the quotation and the follow-up call.
Our consultations are intended to be detailed because we do not quote by size alone. The cost of a driveway is based on the design, specification and full scope of works discussed, including preparation, groundwork, access, finish and guarantee, not simply the square meterage which is why our appointments are more in-depth than a quick site visit and price, we do inform customers prior to arrival the expected duration of our appointments when arranging this direct.
We have also listened back to the follow-up call, and your comment that we offered “nearly half off” is not what was said. It may have been misheard or misunderstood. The call itself was a genuine follow-up to obtain your feedback after the appointment, which we do value, and to see whether, if the design and specification of the project were adjusted, the price could be reduced. As explained, design and specification have a significant impact on cost, and while changes can reduce the price, we made clear this would not be anything close to half of the original quotation.
We fully respect that you chose not to proceed, as every customer must decide what is right for them. However, we do feel it is important to clarify that our quotation reflected the works discussed, and the follow-up call was made in good faith to explore whether there was a more suitable option for you and to obtain genuine customer feedback.

Great quality finish
The final stage of my new driveway was completed to the high standard I had been hoping for.
The initial 2 stages had taken place a few months earlier, but I was kept informed & wasn't under any illusion that there could potentially be delays.
This is due to the time of year it had been started & the nature of the product requiring exact conditions for completion.

Functional a beautiful!
Next Generation did a fantastic job with my new driveway, raising the level to avoid me scraping the bottom of my car on a peak in the pavement.
I can now finally get both vehicles onto the drive though I don’t want to as it hides the beautiful resin! Looks the part, also could believe how well it clears the rain and snow.
Had the side path also done now and I’m no longer sliding down it.
Very happy with the service, will be using again.

I left a bad review 3/4 years ago on Google reviews, starting with the fact it all started with a cold call asking if we wanted a quote for a resin drive, which we did! I dislike cold callers, and the whole experience just confirmed why!
Unbelievably, at the beginning of February, I received another cold call from the same company! To say I was surprised is an understatement... but, rather than reminding them we had a bad experience previously, I thought I'd go along with it, explaining to my husband that I wanted to see how far they would go.
I arranged for a meeting on 4th February, at a time I knew myself and my husband were in, so it wouldn't matter if they didn't show up, as they hadn't the first time.
As it happens, a friendly, jolly guy DID turn up, a few minutes late, but I would never hold that against anyone!
I explained we only wanted a rough quote, as we were getting a few, to compare and discuss.
We endured an hour and a half of a PowerPoint presentation, over-explaining every point. The guy was very pleasant, but it was far too long.
We were advised how much better this company is than anyone else, using quality materials and performing the work themselves, rather than using contractors, as others do!
I reminded him we just wanted a quote, and just for the top, as we had an extremely solid concrete drive, which he checked and agreed was perfect for a base.
Here's where everything became really unbelievable!!!!
Our *tiny* drive was measured.....
*84* sq. meters?!?!
(It only fits one car on and peters off into almost a point, almost triangular, and has been measured at 29 sq. meters by 3 other companies!)
We explained that we have a huge area at the back, which has recently been decked, and that is only *81* sq. meters! The NG guy wasn't interested in looking at that.
Plenty more stories, and some very rough scribbling later, I was advised the cost would be just over *£25000* !!
I suggested our drive and the price were both totally unrealistic, and was told "I'd be surprised" drives often look smaller than they actually are...
Surprised, alright!

I was advised there would be another few thousand on top if we HAD needed the concrete base!
I was definitely suspecting he had been sent to take the proverbial, due to my having left a bad review previously!
I was asked what I expected to pay, which is about £3000 to £4000.
He told me this couldn't be done by any reputable company, but that his company would call in a couple of days to discuss and may possibly be able to knock £1000 off.
He left!!
*No call* was ever received, so I couldn't discuss any of this with the company!!
There are plenty of other reviews like mine!
We now have a quote of *£3200* from an extremely reputable and pleasant company, who will create a beautiful covering for our *29* sq. meter drive!!!!!
How can a measurement be given of 84 instead of 29????
And what would a quote for 29 sq. meters actually be??
UPDATE- a day later-
In reply to the owners comments, it WAS a like for like quote, we HAVE a concrete base, the guy quoted for a topping only. He measured our 29sq m drive as 84 sq m. How is that even possible??? Then gave us an extortionate price!

We install hundreds of driveways each year, and the majority of our reviews are from genuine customers who have had work completed and can comment on the full experience from installation through to aftercare.
In your own review, you state that you arranged the appointment only to “see how far we would go,” which makes clear this was not a genuine quotation request, but an appointment arranged to test and criticise our company and process.
For clarity, we do not price purely by square metre. Our quotations are based on the full specification of works, including stone quality, design, edging, preparation works and guarantee cover. The quotation provided was for a full installation with dig out and sub-base so we could offer a genuine long-term, guarantee-backed installation. Even where a driveway already has a concrete base, that does not automatically make it suitable for a porous resin surface, as this depends on the condition of the concrete and what sits beneath it. We do not carry out inappropriate installations over unsuitable bases simply to reduce cost.
We are sorry that you felt the presentation was long. However, as a regulated company established since 2010, we follow strict procedures and policies when delivering quotations and explaining our installation process. This is to ensure customers are fully aware of the scope of works, specification and standard of installation being quoted.
Our representatives use professional measuring equipment, and all measurements are checked again at survey stage before any work proceeds. If any concern had been raised regarding your quote, our office is open Monday to Friday and we would have been happy to review the quotation further. We also do not carry out unsolicited cold calling. Our marketing activity is based on opted-in data sources, and where a customer asks for their details to be removed, they would not be contacted again.
Our quotations are based on quality, correct preparation and a guarantee-backed installation, not on competing with the cheapest option available.
Quality work done on time
The work was carried out within the expected timescale, given the weather-dependent nature of the work. The site was generally left tidy before the operatives left. The finished driveway appears to be of a high quality, and the operatives were always courteous and kept us informed of progress.
