Buyer Beware!
I ordered a gaming laptop for my son for Xmas from NewEgg through Walmart. It was a Black Friday Sale so I was getting a good machine for a good price. When my laptop arrived, I opened the box to find they shipped my laptop in a large shipping box with no packing material to secure the package inside. As a result, the laptop was sliding around inside the shipping box the entire shipping process. I contacted Walmart who informed me I had to deal with NewEgg directly, since they were the ones who sold the laptop. I simply wanted to exchange the laptop they sent with a same model laptop and have it shipped properly. My concern was that all the jolting this laptop experienced may have caused internal damage which could cause future problems. After a lengthy process to get in touch with NewEgg's Customer Service, the representative informed me that my order was in fact shipped incorrectly, and that they normally secure all their machines inside the shipping box. But because there were no signs of external damage, all they would offer to do was allow me to return this laptop and purchase a new one. The problem with this solution is the model I want is no longer on sale, and repurchasing it would cost more than two hundred ($200+) than I originally paid. After explaining this issue to the representative, he completely changed his tune and claimed the laptop was shipped correctly and that it "should" work properly. After pointing out to the representative that he already admitted it wasn't shipped correctly he completely avoided the issue,apologizing for any confusion. I have the transcript of the conversation as proof(see photo). I cannot reccomend a company that has no integrity.

Sometimes good prices but sometimes fake prices…
Sometimes good prices and sometimes could delivery time. Prices are not as good as they used to be and The comparison prices are often not real. Delivery has also become slower. So-called door buster prices border on fraud. Items are sometimes sold out before the sale begins and if not sell out within the first 30 seconds. They're what my mom used to call like "come on." I used to really like this site. Today, not so much.

I ordered 3 items from Newegg this time…
I ordered 3 items from Newegg this time even though they messed up my last order. Boy are they on a roll! One seller contacted me and tried to tell me my item was not in stock and if I wanted it I had t buy a different brand, and the second item which was two sticks of 32gb ram they sent me a 4tb ssd. If I want my ram i have to wait 3 weeks, a week for them tosend me a return lable to ship it back then I have to wait for them to ship me the correct product. That is unacceptable when it was their mistake!! And trying to say we dont have this but we'll send you this is a scam because I could never claim a warranty return when the brand names dont match!!! Next time I will deal with Canada Computers. At least they are not trying to be another Amazon.

DO not get a refurbished computer from this COMPANY!! I have never had a computer where 90% of the keyboards do not work of course conveniently OUT of the warranty period. I had my lenovo which I bought new on amazon work for 10 yrs and it's still going and the only reason I'm replacing is because it is super slow now. But yeah get a laptop and watch the keyboard not work. RIDICULOUS!

I will never buy from them again
I will never buy from them again! I purchased a DJI drone from them, no where in the AD did it say I could not register it with the FAA, Nowhere in the AD did it say the enhanced transmission option would not work in the USA. Tried to resolve it with newegg said I cannot return it. So now I have a $2,000.00 paper weight. Update: New Egg reached out to me and said they would allow a return, I have contacted them and advised them that I had already returned it once at my cost and was told while it was in transit I could not return it. The unit has been activated but cannot be registered with the FAA. I do not want to send it again until I get clarification and if they will charge me a restocking fee when there was a false description on their website. Still waiting on a response from them.

After 15 yrs, Newegg went sour …
I've done business with them for 15 years and have always found them very friendly & customer oriented. No longer. Can't speak to a real person. Bought a drone for $1340 and it did show DroneNerds was supplying the product. Ten days later the same item is $1160 and DJI is selling it for $1099. Called Newegg got an AI that stated since DroneNerds was the seller there is nothing they can do. I had questions prior to buying this because I'm careful when spending this kind of money. I bought it because Newegg has always been very good. Bad assumption.

I received an email stating my order (Order #408121444) was canceled as per my request. I DID NOT REQUEST TO CANCEL ANYTHING! Someone from the store cancel my order at their own wim..
The 1st time i order (Order #576705411), it was canceled because of failure to be authenticated by card owner.. fine.. understood.
I ordered again and had the card owner call newegg today and do the necessary verification so you they know it's a legitimate and authorized purchase..
I'm waiting patiently for this laptop for so long just to have someone cancel my order just because they can..
Why would I be going through so much hassle just to verfy with you guys that the purchase is an authorized purchase but turn around and cancel it?! that makes no sense at all. I'm so pist rtnw.

Third Party Problems at Newegg
It would appear that newegg tolerates fraudulent third party vendors. I place an order 44171XXXX for an item. It was said to ship in about a week Instead I get a notice that a shipping label was created the day of the order, and delivery was shown two days later. We never received the item, and there was no proof of delivery. As many of us know, this is a standard fraudulent trick. The creation of the shipping label gives cover to the fraudulent company, and somehow they show a delivery which was never made. I followed up with newegg, and all they could say was "sorry" it's out of our control. "We can issue you a refund if you like. We will get back to you in 24-48 hours" which they never did. Who would have thought that newegg appears to follow the "worst" business practices,

I bought a $1200 laptop on Newegg. Zero "Customer service"
I bought a $1200 laptop on Newegg. About 20 days after getting the PC the screen began to flicker and at times, would not turn on. I have to do a hard reset to get my $1200 PC to turn on.
I contacted customer service and they said that there is nothing that can be done because it is past the 15 DAY RETURN POLICY. Even though I started noticing the problems after the 15 days. I have spent thousands on dollars on Newegg in the past, and as a customer that has and would continue to use the site, they just brushed me off like I was trying to scam them. They told me I would have to contact ASUS and figure it out. And ended the conversation there. No exceptions, no I'm sorry, NOTHING, just rude unprofessional customer service, if you can even call it that. So I contacted ASUS and they want me to send my brand new laptop in for repair and is refusing to send me a new laptop!! (ASUS review coming up neck)
Newegg customer service is terrible and I will never be using their site again. For people reading this, you better hope that products you buy from Newegg start to fail before 15 days otherwise you are SOL, because once Newegg gets your money, they could care less about you! Please find another site/store to buy you PC and PC parts from because you will be disappointed by Newegg. Just awful customer servise!!!(My screen flickered 3 times while writing this review.)

Terrible service from Newegg
Ordered a 20 pin header extension cable for my computer on 7 September 2025. As of today, 20 September 2025, the cable has not arrived. If Newegg didn't stock the cable, they should have told me that. Instead, they sourced the cable from a company in China. Absolutely horrible service. I doubt that I will ever again do business with Newegg!
On December 10, 2025 Newegg finally responded to my earlier review, dated 20 September 2025. The response was largely irrelevant. And, it took Newegg about 3 months to provide a response.
I will never buy anything from Newegg again. There are lots of other sellers of computer hardware. I'm confident that almost all of them will provide better customer service than Newegg.

Newegg Delivers! (Even if it's not their responsibility!)
I own a Skytech Shiva (3060 Ti), I've since upgraded it overtime, managing to snatch a 5080 at MSRP off newegg and some great deals on ram and storage. But hark! the IN WIN 101 case doesn't really support 3.5 HDDs. I called Skytech, they said "call IN WIN" I called In Win they say "No habla ingles" for some reason. But sure enough, I go through neweggs live chat, connect to Sarah and she sends me over to Chris for PC Support, he quickly realizes there's no real way to get a good HDD caddy for it, so he suggests looking at a new case and guides me for picking out a new one. With his aid I picked out a Be Quiet! Mid ATX case to go with the new 5080 and the Seagate Barracuda 16 TB. Fantastic website for getting technology from.

I bought a 2500 pc. It failed after two hours and my only options are to return the item and wait for the replacement or get a refund. This does not help me. Why do you not send the replacement immediately? If a customer never returns the original broken one, awesome, charge them. Instead, customers have to wait for up to TWO WEEKS, after I already paid for expedited shipping. What is this even?
