I placed an order 2 months ago while they were on $125 gift card for a $500 purchase sale. Nothing was wrong till the moment that one of the items (worths only $50) in my order was out-of-order while it was in-stock as I placed the order. Then they only sent me $50 GC in stead of $125, even though it was not my fault. They also give me an attitude over the phone when I ask if it's possible to exchange that item to another equally-priced item, act like I was the one who should be responsible for this, they also refused to return the money to me, ended up I spent $500 for a $450 worth of good, and only received $50 GC instead of $125,

I placed an order to order a foundation for over $200 to get the $50 gift card. A first-time customer and I don't know how to get the $50 gift card. I clicked to confirm the first order, but the website was not working so I clicked it one more time. It ended up with 2 orders that I originally wanted 1 order. Anyway, I wondered why the $50 gift card was not given to me so I called customer service, he told me I had to enter the code for the gift card. This is the first time I ordered and I don't know what code to enter. I just realized the system is cheating on first-time customers in order not to give out the $50 gift card. Avoid, do not buy at this website!!
Canceled Orders
I ordered multiple items from Neiman Marcus and they canceled them and I used a 15% off code on items and then they cancel them. I don’t recommend them as they are only trying to get your number to spam you with messages and codes that end up getting canceled.
Neiman Marcus Online is Untrustworthy
Neiman Marcus (NM) online is untrustworthy and completely worthless if ordering a gift for someone that matters. On 12/19/23, NM online offered free expedited Christmas delivery with code NMHURRY. I had a screen shot of the code in my order, but my order confirmation showed standard delivery, so I called NM immediately after placing my order. The NM representative was very polite and sounded like she was doing an exceptional job with offering to expedite the Christmas gift and waive the express shipping charge. She stated it would arrive by Christmas. It is 12/24, and I called NM to check on the pending status of this order and was informed that it was never shipped. I never received any email about any delay or problem with the order. When I called today, the supervisor spoke with his supervisor and stated there was no way the gift could now be delivered in time. I won’t purchase gifts from neimanmarcus.com anymore. The NMHURRY promotion was deceptive, and my order was handled with zero regard. This has been the worst customer service on an online purchase by far from anywhere I have ordered from. It was a Christmas gift in a Christmas themed tin that was never sent and there was no follow up about it. It has made this a very sad Christmas. This was for a very special person in my life, and now there is no way I can get a gift to her in time. I purchased 3 gifts for other people from other websites after I placed this order and they all arrived on time. Shame on you Neiman Marcus!

I placed an order online that I was so excited about receiving. The order did arrive by FedEx however it was stolen from my yard. I called to submit a claim with NM and after an investigation on their end, I was told that the claim was denied because as far as they are concerned they did their job and the package was delivered. I was shocked this happened to me, four years ago when someone stole a package from our property around this same time from Nordstroms the response was so different, they truly made me feel that I was a valued customer! That was customer service I could not say I will shop here again. I was truly disappointed not only was I out of money but my Christmas presents as well. I am happy that I waited to place my second order.

Shipping charges for international returns
Neiman Marcus do not state on their website that customers are responsible for the return shipping cost of international purchases. I spent one hour chatting with their online service. I provided this information to the consultants, it was ignored and I was advised that borderfree (the shipping company) state that taxes and duties will not refunded when an RMA number has not been obtained prior to returning goods. I had already been provided an RMA number, the invoice I received to facilitate the return stated that the taxes and duties would be refunded, but a shipping charge was itemised. It is frustrating to restate a problem, and be provided no answer to the issue, just a restatement of what I already knew. If Neiman Marcus wish to operate as an international retailer they must provide clear information about their shipping policies and charges for international orders.

Purchased a fragrance. Packaging is good. Deliver on time. Price is great - I don't know if this is the authentic one, but for now I will put a decent rating. I'm sorry to say that I'm DONE with Neiman Marcus. This used to be my favorite store. I've spent so much money at Neiman's over the years 10's of thousands or dollars, but the online merchandising and customer service has deteriorated to such an extent that I'll never shop there again. What hasn't gone wrong? Orders canceled for no apparent reason, wrong merchandise sent, supposed gift cards earned that never arrive, but worst of all is the abominable online customer service: I've been spoken to rudely, blamed for problems that were clearly their fault (and in the end, who cares, as long as we can get things resolved), lied to that problems had been taken care which were not, leading to more time on hold with customer service while they "figure out" what to do. A great example: I ordered several cosmetic items in a single order. For some weird reason one was being sent to my house, and the other was being sent to a store (nowhere near where I live.) I called immediately. They said they would cancel the part of the order being sent to the store. A week later, I get an email that my item is "ready for pick-up." I call back to ask that they refund this item as I can't pick it up. We can't do that they say, you have to wait until it's "expired," and then you'll get a refund - I was also blamed for this, which is ridiculous - even if it had been a mistake on my end, does that justify being spoken to rudely and told they can't do anything about it? I told them I wasn't comfortable with leaving something I'd already paid for, on a shelf someplace to "expire" at a store I can't get to. Too bad, they say, there's nothing they can do about it. I call back the next day to talk with someone else who says they'll refund the item. Great! But no refund ever shows up. Another example, I order a pair of expensive earrings. I follow the tracking and see after a week that there's been no movement after the shipping label is printed (always a bad sign) so I call to report this as a red-flag and a problem. The person I speak to says he'll cancel the order and issue a refund. Two weeks later, the package shows up, empty (it'd been broken into and contents stolen - I have a doorman at my building so packages aren't left unattended.) I then called immediately to make sure the order had been canceled and the refund issued, just in case. Surprise, no, it hadn't been canceled as I'd been told, nor a refund issued (we don't do that, they say, despite the fact that I was TOLD that was what they were going to do), so I spend another 30 minutes on hold while they once again figure out what to do. Now I have to wait to make sure that this "case" is "resolved" such that I get a refund. I told them that as far as I was concerned, it WAS resolved, the item was stolen, and I should be issued a refund - what happens with FedEx at this point is THEIR problem, and shouldn't be mine.
I'm so sick and tired of this. I'm done. I do not recommend the online store due to the infuriating experiences I've repeatedly had in the last 6 months with their customer service - what the heck happened?
Physical locations and buying in person would be a completely different experience of course, and if they had decent customer service, even with the problems (which, let's face it, are ubiquitous these days), I'd stay a loyal customer, but it's so sketchy and the agents are so misinformed, lying and being rude, that I can't give them my business any longer. A high end store like Neiman Marcus, AT THE VERY LEAST, should offer top of the line customer service. I can't trust them. Saks and Nordstrom to get all my future business. At least their customer service agents are polite, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and most importantly HELPFUL.

One of the worst stores I have ever shopped at. The customer service is lousy and a waste of money and time. I bought a jacket that I paid for with a gift card. I bought it over the phone because their website was not working. The experience of buying the jacket was good, the woman was nice and took good care of me. However, they cancelled the order about two days later due to lack of stock, I called customer service and that's where the worst starts, the first guy who answered my call told me that they would send me the refund by email. That email never arrived, I inform him that I never received the email, he gives me a number to call, I call that number and there they tell me that they have cancelled my order due to lack of stock, I inform them that I need to know how I will receive my refund and when, they connect me with another number and tell me again about the email, this process lasts 1 hour. Then I wrote through the chat and after 4 different agents closed the chat, they inform me that I will receive my refund by mail in 8-10 weeks!?!!!!!!?, two hours of my time wasted for them to tell me that I have to wait 10 more weeks, ridiculous.

Customer service online was barely helpful, on the phone it kept disconnecting so that was no help at all. It is upsetting that after spending $800 on this purchase and receiving a wrong item I was prompted to return this item and place a new order fronting another $1000 for a second order. Why would I want to end up spending $1800 in hopes to get the right item the second time around and hoping for a timely refund? Overall it is less trouble to order elsewhere, customer service is meh, they’ll just point you to the website. I ended up spending more time trying to get an exchange (unsuccessfully) than I spent on initial purchase. Big waste of time for nothing. I will not be shopping there again, easier to buy directly from brands.

I ordered a jacket for my wedding on Sunday night. There was 1 left in stock and it was on a large discount (from $4K to $1K). Told my fiance and groomsmen who began planning around it, and then 3 days later Neimann cancelled the order with no explanation. I called in and they said someone else had inexplicably ordered "at the same exact time" as I had, 3 days prior. Sorry but that story just does not make sense. They then offered me 15% off my next item as an apology, which is exactly the same discount I used on my first order that isn't getting delivered, so they literally gave us nothing for this massive inconvenience. Very much looking forward to watching their brand burn in the ashes of history.
