If there was an option for zero stars I…

If there was an option for zero stars I would take it! I am so disappointed - I put in an order in May and have heard nothing bar an email shortly after I placed the order. Today I have raised a dispute with my bank and have just received a refund - I would advise anyone facing this issue to do the same. I get the sense that Jim is overwhelmed and shuts down when things get too much... this is so sad as it sounds from some other reviews that his craftmanship is beautiful. I didn't want to write this review but also don't want other people to go through the stress I have over the last six weeks. If you read this Jim I am sorry to have had to write this but you left me no choice. I hope you get some help on the customer service side so you can continue your business - I for one would be happy to see your fences in my garden as they look stunning.

We have had one reply from Jim at the start of June but since then nothing. It is
very frustrating and still we dont know when we will get our delivery.
Service is terrible. Come on Jim

No communication

I made an order in May, was told it would be shipped towards the end of the month, but since then i've heard nothing. I've been calling and calling and emailing and no response at all. It's so frustrating because I would like the choice to cancel and go elsewhere but without any communication I don't know if they will actually do it and refund me and I spent over 400.
If the job takes longer than a month then I wish I had been told from the beginning. I made arrangements to get it installed as I thought it was coming 4 weeks ago. But had to postpone.

Very Frustrated/Disappointed

I have had experience with hazel hurdles and know the pros and cons of buying good quality U.K. hurdles as opposed to imported hurdles which sadly do not last as long.
So on ordering my hurdles from Natural Fencing I was pleased to think I d be getting a good quality product. However from placing 2 x orders 23/29 March 2020 I am yet to see any hurdles at all….. 13 WEEKS later. I too have kept in touch with Jim and frustratingly only received a few ‘ one liner ‘ emails in return. I have been promised delivery the week beginning 6 June…… no delivery. Then delivery dates of either 18 or 21 June….. no delivery. So now I do nt know where to turn. I m getting no reply to my emails now and have no hurdles. The new planting in the garden I m working on is being battered by the winds in the northeast of the U.K. I would have never undertaken this planting job if I d known the plants were going to have no protection. Jim I hope you re reading these reviews. Please get in touch and let me know what is happening or you give me very little choice but to contact my lawyers.

Quality product more than makes up for slow delivery

As other reviewers have highlighted, Natural Fencing appear to be suffering from a glut of orders at the moment which they are struggling to cope with. We ordered our hurdles on 5 April and finally took delivery on 18 June, so a wait of just over 10 weeks. Like others have done, I was in regular contact with Jim to keep tabs on the progress of my order. Jim would generally come back to me in a few days and was always apologetic. The quality of the finished product is absolutely superb - they look like they will stand the test of time - so for us, it was has been more than worth the wait. I do appreciate however that in this online age, it can be incredibly frustrating to place an order, pay in full up front, and then wait weeks and weeks for the order to arrive. For those in a particular hurry, you may be better off looking elsewhere, but for everyone else, you will be more than delighted with the finished product.

Great product but rubbish communication skills.

I completely understand the feelings of other reviewers about lack of customer service, no contact on phone and feeling that you have paid for something and believe it was a scam. I’ve been through all of this and had intermittent contact with Jim the owner. All I can say is stick with it. My hazel fencing arrived nearly 10 weeks after I ordered it and the quality is first class. I think the issues relate to the owner having insufficient time to do all the back office functions he has said to me in one of the infrequent emails that got replied to that he was struggling. All I can say is if you want a good quality uk produced product stick with it.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. I have been scammed. We only wanted unprocessed poles, to make a playground. Not even any complex handmade fencing. Now a month after I have been debited £453.72 immediately after we placed the order- no poles, plus no response to many emails or calls. Website looks great, the concept is great ( natural product, UK supplier etc ) but it is A SCAM. We have been so so ripped off. Save your money

Such a shame - terrible service for such a great product

I placed an order on 13 March and have yet to receive anything. I have repeatedly received no confirmation of delivery, been advised it has shipped when it hasn't, and received one line emails to only 50% of the emails I have sent. Have regretfully now cancelled my order and requested a full refund, I'm not expecting a resolution to this anytime soon.

This is a tricky one

This is a tricky one!

I ordered several 6ft hazel fence panels over 9 weeks ago. After a few weeks I emailed and was told orders were being turned around in 4 weeks. After 4 weeks I was told 2 more weeks and that pattern continued up until last week.

I finally emailed Jim and asked for a refund. He suggested he could refund me the money and when the panels were eventually delivered, if I was satisfied with them, I would re pay him. I agreed and told him this was his last chance. The money was refunded to my account on Tuesday and the panels were delivered Wednesday evening. They are amazing, in a different league to anything I’ve seen before.

I totally understand everyone’s frustration, but I genuinely believe Jim when he says he took on way too many orders and is now spending every day in the workshop trying to catch up.

His craftsmanship is not up for discussion in my opinion, but he could really do with hiring someone to help him with his admin and to supervise website orders. That said, he always replied to my emails and was always very apologetic for the delays.

I have my panels now and I’m extremely pleased with them (even factoring in the almost 10 week wait) but if you’re reading this with a view to purchasing from Jim it might be worth emailing and having an honest conversation with him before committing with your money.

I ordered hazel fencing over 4 weeks…

I ordered hazel fencing over 4 weeks ago. Money was paid in full. There was no advice to say product was not in stock. I have had to chase by email and I was assured the goods would be delivered within 4 weeks. I still have no delivery date and I have not received a refund.

I am now taking legal advice and making an application for legal action.

Avoid at all costs

Exactly the same. Took our order and money, never got a delivery date. Cant get through to him. A one line email said 4 weeks. Now into 6 weeks and still no order or communication. However a social influencer got her order in 2 days just because she posted about it on Instagram. Probably got our order because we certainly havent. Do not waste your time or money. The guy deserves to go bust but he's probably living off the interest of all his unfulfilled orders he's taken the money for!
I have tried to get a refund but of course he just ignores the emails requesting it. Have had to contact credit card company to retrieve money and reported him to trading standards. The guy is a pathological liar and a fraudster and shouldn't be in business

Happy but after a very long wait

Update to my post below.... I can now say that I have received my hurdles after a very long wait. Jim did respond finally and apologised for his 'admin' and promised he was getting an assistant to help him. Lets hope this does happen because the product is excellent - the customer services is currently very poor.

I ordered my hurdles on 22nd March 2021 and money was taken immediately. I have rung and emailed numerous times ever since for an update and not a word back. I have given Jim until next week to respond with an update before I let my lawyer take over.

Do Not Waste Your Time, Money Or Effort ..... Order From Primrose.co.uk

Ordered 12 hazel hurdles via website on 31st March at a cost of £639 and shipping of 3 – 5 days. Nothing received so emailed and phoned numerous times. Jim only answered when threatened with legal action. The comment was that delivery is currently 4 weeks but getting better and that he is useless at admin. 5 weeks later, nothing received so more emails and phone calls and this time promised shipping in a couple of days. Nothing received so have instigated legal action. Jim refunded only after this. Ordered others from Primrose.co.uk and received in under 5 days.

Don’t waste your time and money here.…

Ordered some panels and was told there was a 4 week wait, which was fair enough in these strange times, after 6weeks had not heard a thing so tried over the next couple of weeks sending emails only to get a reply to say there’s another 2 week delay. We are now up to 10 weeks and I’m calling it a day.
