Theft

The man that runs this company Jim Moyden, is a thief. He took my money for my order in April 2021. It is now December 23rd, and I still do not have my goods. He has given me 6 different delivery dates, that have come and gone, along with a paltry apology for the delay. I have emailed him multiple times, and he usually doesn't reply for several weeks. He NEVER answers the phone. Like many others, I have been forced to take him through the small claims court in order to get my money back, as so far he has refused to give me a refund.
He is a SCAMMER, and I strongly advise you NOT TO USE HIM.

Great quality, beautifully made, but you will need to wait.

I bought 4 unframed hazel hurdles online in late October, when the website said very clearly that, as they are made to order, there was a six week minimum turn-around time and that payment wouldn't be requested until goods were ready for dispatch. In early December I got a payment request and notification that delivery would be in two days time. The panels were actually delivered, by Jim, four days later, after he was delayed by a family emergency. They are very good quality indeed, heavy and tightly woven, and cheaper than imported panels I've seen online. If you are able to wait a little while to have your order fulfilled, I'd definitely recommend Jim.

After months of monthly chasing (6+) I…

After months of monthly chasing (6+) I eventually received 22 hazel panels. To be fair to Jim the product he produces good. Jim is clearly a grafter and totally overstretched and forgot part of my order. I have been chasing him since March 2021 for the remainder of the order to be delivered or if he can't fullfill it (I eventually moved house in the meantime!) to reimburse me. Still no response to multiple emails and the phone is never answered. Like everyone one else I have tried to empathise but when you only get a response to the threat of legal action, this would suggest emails are being read but not being responded to. A one liner saying sorry, give me a couple of months would go a long way but the stonewalling style of communication is being candid pretty appalling.

Companies on line cannot expect to trade, take peoples money and then disappear. Hopefully someone will stop them trading very soon.

Avoid at all costs

I too am waiting for goods ordered in May of this year. Have made numerous attempts to contact the company and have received 2 emails making false promises of delivery in the next couple of weeks. I have requested a refund but have not received one, and I am now pursuing a reimbursement through my credit card company. Have also contacted Suffolk Trading Standards.

Like so many others...

Like so many others, my order from April has not been fulfilled. I have had a couple of unspecified dates for delivery, apologies, but mainly deafening silence. My sympathies lie with artisan producers, but there is a limit. I will be seeking a full refund.
Update June 2022, after further delays, I had to use the small claims court, and have been refunded at the last possible date. Out of pocket by two refistered letters and court fees, but I didn't have the energy to seek those. Conclusion, after scratching my head over the business model, I wonder if our lad uses the money paid by genuine customers as an interest free loan, only paying back if taken to small claims, then only at the last minute. As for the 5 star reviews, may be occasionally fulfilled orders or friends and family. Pure speculation, of course.

Appalling Service, Zero Product, Terrible Communication!

I too have been waiting since placing my order in May 2021 for my hurdles and posts to arrive.
I’ve had two lame emails giving despatch dates over the months I’ve been chasing, both have long-since come and gone!
I really need these panels to screen my oil tank, as I have to rip out the thorn bush currently surrounding it, otherwise the oil company won’t deliver more oil. They want to be able to inspect the tank first.
I wish that I’d taken heed of the previous comments on Trustpilot, but you try to give the benefit of the doubt, excuse due to Covid, etc, but can now realistically only see that contacting my credit card supplier to force a refund for non-supply of goods as a way forward...

Not to be trusted. A fraud.

Like many people on here I also have had no contact with Jim from Natural fencing. I ordered a couple of the hurdles in March this year and still nothing has arrived. I have called and emailed several times but still nothing. I grew up locally to where they are based and have subsequently heard reports that Jim is not to be trusted. Company needs to be reported. A fraud.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.
They are still showing products available to order when they do not deliver the products to customers who have already placed orderers months ago. No communication & fobbing off emails, if any reply.
This company should be closed down.

Updated: Do not under any circumstances order…

Do not under any circumstances order from here. Read all the reviews and ensure you treat the positive ones as bought in reviews. The products are sold under false pretences. We ordered in May and had zero communication despite numerous emails bar one lame email in July promising delivery in 5 days, LOL. Like others no other responses to emails and no way of getting through. Legal advice and trading standards conversations will be your only route to get any redress. AVOID.

Update: despite the useless advice from the CAB we pursued the scammer through the small claims court. It costs £35 and is all online, with online updates. Just put in your record of ways you’ve tried to contact the scammer and lack of response. You can claim the £35 back on top of what you are owed. He has a certain time to respond before it goes to a CCJ. This seems to work as we soon received our money back and the £35 fee. For those on this thread, who like us, don’t know what to do - go online and process a small claims court action. It’s the only language this scammer seems to understand.

Warning - Do not order from this company

I placed an order with Natural Fencing on the 17th May this year for six 1.8m square hazel panels. I have had a number of promises of delivery but to date almost five months on, no sign of them and not responding to e-mails and do not answer the phone. Completely fed up them. I understand that they may have a staff shortage but is no way to treat customers. I have now started legal proceedings against them to retrieve my money because I will not be treated in this manner. They are just appalling.

Follow up on 24th Jan 2020 review. I commented that the product seemed basically good but was rather see through. The design of the strengthening bar top and bottom was good. Some 20 months later- natural drying/shrinkage means that the panels really don't do the job I bought them for- there is very little privacy through the fence. This is not about un realistic expectations-I know what the product is and isn't meant to be - I bought E European panels some 3 years earlier -from a local lumber yard- still standing in my garden still significantly more solid than the Natural fencing ones. Same is true of panels in my neighbour's garden. I am now 100% certain, that what I suspected on delivery was true. After long delays, he rushed my order (£2,000 worth) or cut corners and failed to compress the horizontal hazels properly.
So like many in these reviews, a massively late delivery, where he only seems to respond when you threaten to recoup your money...and I can confirm that the products wasn't even good enough. So no, it wasn't worth waiting for...which is a shame...because all I wanted was a fit and proper fence. He tried (as with so many others) to get me to withdraw my last review...which was entirely factual. The bottom line is that not only was the service terrible but the product was poor. Somewhere under this I suspect there may be a reasonable craftsman trying to get out - he just needs to take down his website- serve fewer local customers and serve them well, not cut corners on communication and in my case quality as well....while repeatedly telling disappointed customers about his production problems. As the reviews show, they have been running for years and long predate COVID...the problem is how he runs his business.

Disappointed.

Placed order on 31st March and paid over £530… communication stopped on 12th July. No fencing, no money and no contact! It’s now 7th September! I’ve requested a refund from Jim but no response. I’m in N. Ireland so I understand if there are issues with delivery but I paid £146 in delivery charge so some further contact regarding this would be reassuring. I feel like I’ve been taken for a ride and ripped off. So disappointed and annoyed.

Update 27th October… still zero product, zero communication and zero refund.

Another Frustrated Customer

Like so many other reviewers have been waiting for delivery and am frustrated by the lack of communication; am happy to wait if I had some clear indication of a confirmed delivery date. Been over 18 weeks since the order was placed and paid for on 26 April.

Genuine and good product but very disorganised

I had the same experience as most, I was worried I had been scammed and main reason for reviewing is just to say this is a genuine business, fence arrived today, high quality, really well packed for transit. I believe they no longer take payment with order - don't pay on order - I suspect still saying 6 weeks, you should disregard that, the biggest issue is just the lack of communication and when you do get a response it comes with an optimistic (unrealistic) delivery date, pretty sure it is a one person business but still must spend 10 minutes a day responding to emails.

Never received

Ordered April 2021, now August, have not arrived. Multiple potential delivery dates were promised, but never received the fence panels. Had to resort to chargeback, via my bank,to receive a refund. So disappointing and a waste of time

No way to run a business.

I'm from High Wycombe Jim, and I really hope you read this. I echo the many others on here, regarding my disappointment with this company. Whilst I completely sympathise with Jim being apparently overwhelmed, to simply stop communicating about my order, which was placed on 10th April and he took the £300 on 12th April, is not how to run a business and build trust. His work does look amazing and the testamonials here prove that, but it's been 13 weeks now and no word to give me an update despite my very polite and encouraging emails. I will be seeking a refund unless I get a delivery date and proof that my order is going to be delivered on a definite date. It's not on, to take my money and then keep it for so long without any contact. Why on earth Jim doesn't take someone on, just to help with customer service is beyond comprehension. Such a shame but no way to run a business.

HAZEL HURDLES ORDER

People need to give him a break and instead of being to hasty to leave a review here just be a little more patient - I placed an order in May following a high recommendation i did get my thank you email but I didn’t hear from Jim till last week he has a 6 week turnaround at the moment due to him holding the fort all by himself getting through orders as quick as he can - he’s got the best prices in the UK so expect a wait he will not rip you off he will deliver as soon as he can I will take this opportunity to say thank you to him as we got there in the end please be kind this guy is lovely and try not to look at the bad reviews I will be ordering more :)
