No M1 support

M1 support, when?
2 years without M1 support so hardware isn't fully working... So it seems like I bought a product that is not working.

The rise and demise of NI

Been using Native's products for a while now.
And in 2022, it's sad to say that they turned into one of the most depreciated brand...all for good reasons.
- M1 Native is nowhere to be found.
- Upgrade prices are a mess and not at all justified for what you get.
- Their hardware is as cheap as it gets.
They used to be the reference for anyone producing. They became a pale shadow of what they aimed to do.
It's just sad.
I'll keep an eye out for their next line of products, but nowadays, there is a truth : for half the price and none of the bugs, you could go with 2 to 3 other brands and still be years ahead of their products.
Sad.

Simple order. Awful service

I had three songs to record over the holiday weekend. So I decided to buy the download-only version of Native Instruments Komplete 13.

I bought it on Saturday and they processed my payment immediately. Then I installed Access Kontrol. Nothing was available for download.

I returned to my account and looked at orders. It said "under review". What, exactly, is under review? You took $660 from me for a DIGITAL product. I should be able to access it IMMEDIATELY, just like every other digital product known to man!

The next day, it still didn't work and neither did their chat. Apparently, they only want to assist you during banker hours. Their support website is pathetic, forming a series of infinite loops and dead ends. So I raised a support ticket.

I work in technology and when a support ticket comes in, there is an SLA. Not with Native Instruments, though. It is now Monday. I have not received my product at all. But they did receive my money. Mission accomplished for them, i guess. I have also not received any contact from them and this is all starting to look shady.

I have had to put my recording plans on hold and don't know when I'll get to them again, this week. The whole reason I bought the download was to use it immediately, which was a reasonable expectation, because it's 2022 and everyone else does that.

Clearly their product designers are incompetent and their support staff are contemptuous and bone idle. After my experience, I would probably not buy from them again, no matter how good their sounds. When someone spends $660 on software, you don't expect this treatment at all.

Shame on you, Native Instruments.

The fact that Native Instruments are ok…

The fact that Native Instruments are ok with letting their customers have to clean out almost their entire hard disk space to install their products says a lot about them as a company. Just google "purgeable space native instruments" and you'll know what I'm talking about.

joke of a service and joke of support - 12 years as a customer and they don't give a F

i hope you never have an issue because they have absolutely no idea of how their products work oir what's written on their website. Next to impossible to get drivers, products lose support almost immediately, and they fill your pc with bloatware instead of building something decent that does it all. I swear I have something like 8 apps just to run their crap. Also they are becoming the most detatched company ever and it's impossible to reach out and get help.
They keep on changing their apps and they don't even know how your product is supposed to work with it.
A JOKE
Don't ever update to win 11 as apparently it's like the end of the world for them

just made a purchase from them and have…

just made a purchase from them and have only regret. I would not recommend buying their bundles as you will have to create accounts at multiple sites. The registration and installation are a major pain. When I buy from a vendor, I want to buy from them, and not 3 or 4 companies. They should advise that you have to go through a ton of feces, rather than have your purchase be cut and dry. Then try to wade through the BS to get your products installed.
I have purchased more than I should have from them. Bought an Ultimate package, then upgraded. 80 percent is redundant useless sound packs. Never again. Stay away!

0 stars for intended purpose

Bought Traktor Pro 3 which is great, love it think it's brilliant, however......
It came with Scratch vinyl mkll which are just useless for the intended purpose of scratching. Bought X2 more incase the first ones were faulty but soon realised that all are useless. Can barely move the record without it jumping like crazy.
I'm using Concorde cartridges & needles along with butterrug slipmats which in combination extremely slick with any other scratch record or any record I care to scratch with.
All in all a very dissapointing experience using these supposed scratch friendly timecode records.
Can you not make some that work and send for free please.

Deceptive Return/Warranty Policy.

On 02/19/2022 I purchase a Maschine MK3 for $699.00 directly from Native Instruments, and received it on
02/28/2022. On 03/20/2022, after reading 1,000+ pages of the instruction manual, and watching hours of
instruction videos, I realized that the Audio Inputs were not working properly, and opened a Support ticket
via Native Instruments Support. Over the course of the last month I have exchanged numerous emails with
a customer service representative, answered all questions, providing all information asked, performed all
suggested troubleshooting tasks, even filmed a video of the issue, and have been offered no satisfactory
solution to my issue. My impression is that the company will not admit the existence of the issue, to avoid
the cost of repair/replacement/return. I was never offered the option of repair/replacement of the defective
device, and was told a return/refund was not possible. The company advertises a 3 year warranty on
hardware, but I believe this is deceptive, because I was never offered the option to utilize the warranty.
When I finally requested a return/refund I was told there is a 14 day return window, but it is void once you
open or register your product. The first step Native Instruments directs you to do is register your device, in
order to use it. Effectively the company directs you to commit an act that immediately voids the return
policy, in order to activate and use the device. I'm shocked by the poor quality of customer service I've
received, I've never experienced anything like it. I felt that I was directed in an endless circle or
troubleshooting, and the representative was never offering an actual solution for me. In my final attempt at
resolution I requested the issue be escalated to a supervisor, and I was told that even the supervisor
denied my request for return. I feel I've exhausted the issue, and that this company is committing deceptive
practices, and must be held accountable.

Frustrating

As many reviews already here, great instruments by means but 100% absent customer service.... I've managed to send an email to request help with errors regarding lack of drive space (of which I have plenty) and I've got a response 3 days later confirming that they don't respond to support requests and that everything should be on the topics on their site, therefore my query moves to "resolved". Really frustrating after spending £170 on software. ILok, Waves and many small new ones at least respond and help eventually. Native deliberately lost touch with their customers.

Would give negative stars if possible

Would honestly give negative stars if possible.
Absolutely AWFUL customer experience. Words can’t describe how frustrating and OFFENSIVELY POOR the customer service was.

I purchased the maschine mk3 (around a $600 piece of equipment) that just stopped working suddenly for LITERALLY no reason. Got up one day in the morning to play and no sound would record through the input jack. I filed a customer service request. No response for MONTHS until finally I get a message saying “our records show this issue as resolved”

***WTH***

Nobody ever even contacted me so how in the hell is the issue “resolved”

and thats no even the worst part.

I contacted them again, asking what can be done. I sent a huge message, kindly and patiently explaining that I’ve been trying to get this problem resolved for MONTHS and that it should be on the company to replace for 2 reasons.
A) it was a completely defective product.
B) I reached out in a timely matter and the customer service team completely dropped the ball by just ignoring or not seeing the request. I explained I’m even willing to send the product back to be reviewed as it would 100% be determined to be defective and LITERALLY all I got back was a bare minimum NO effort incredibly rude response. I sent a huge message asking kindly to explain what my options were and whoever this a**hole is that responded decided to type not even a full sentence “replacement charge is $89” who the hell trains your customer service team? They need to be fired IMMEDIATELY. This experience has left an AWFUL taste in my mouth. Native instruments and maschine have NOT impressed. Terrible company. Even worse customer service skills. I’ll be making sure everyone I talk to in the music industry knows how you guys treat your customers. Your reputation is going to catch up to you. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. Literally never had a worse time with a music equipment company. No wonder the average customer rating is ONE STAR.

No cutomer support 2 weeks

I installed the entire free Kontakt / Komplete library and it has not worked ( I know that my friend Elton uses Kontakt at RUSK , so I know it can work. ) I just needed a few simple questions answered like : Why doesn't Kontakt player show in finale or reaper DAW. ? I also wanted to know if the upgrade offer was good for upgrading from the free version but there was only a free automated email sending me to the website ( which is also lacking in ways that would make getting assistance difficult. )

Hardware Support

My review is only related to their hardware tech support. I sent my Maschine mikro to them for replacement after one of the pads stopped working. Had it under a year. First, just getting through their reporting system in the NI site to make a claim is the weirdest nightmare. They definitely try to discourage customers from sending something back. And forget actually speaking to someone. But once I sent my gear to them, they did promise to send a replacement. And that is now going on three months ago. I've asked repeatedly, but I only get excuses. Then, two weeks ago they said they were now authorized to send me a new unit. They would notify me when it ships. Never heard any more, never received the replacement. I used to think positively about NI, but clearly they've lost their direction.

I'm starting to doubt Trust Pilot too

I'm starting to doubt Trust Pilot too. NI have (some of) the best sounding, finely harmonized, auto-limited and well compressed DJ recordings, pitching and optional FX groups compared to tons of thin, glitchy DAWs and dodgy apps out there. OK they don't update much, they need to make device file sharing much easier (dont rely on Itunes) and so on but their hardware like the S2 is still hardy and killer quality and Traktor Pro has so many incredible uses with 4 decks and 16 effects blasting away on a 4GB RAM laptop from 2009 or an iphone 4s and it sounds pretty much as good as Logic, Pro Tools, FL Studio, etc. That is a serious achievement and pretty hard to update in a hurry. Most of these idjuts leaving bad reviews here are sonic newbies who are too young or lazy to read the manuals or learn the craft or the gear before expecting others to "fix" their "broken" hardware which is "noisey and hums" or whatever. Try checking your circuits or mute your open channels or whatever instead of blaming professional engineers who know far more about sound than you will in the next decade - if you stick to being a muso and not a hobbyist... sorry but its the truth - if I had this software when I was having buy £200 half day studio time for a little demo I would have cried with gratitude... embrace the awesomeness!!!!

We had better UIs in 1993

My first DAW was OSC's Deck, followed by Deck II. It was awkward, it was clunky, it required a thorough reading of a phone book-sized manual to understand, and we tolerated it because it was very literally breaking new ground in every conceivable way.

It's now almost 30 years later. There is no longer any unexplored ground to cover yet Native Instruments has basically buried their heads in the sand the entire time as they continue to churn out bafflingly awful Qt garbage which they attempt to pass off as software worth paying money for. Obviously, this software comes with its own private army of fanboy defenders and YouTube influencer shills who insist that Kontakt is the greatest sampler on the planet. The vast majority of them aren't old enough to have ever seen another sampler on the planet--the rest are just so used to being abused by the likes of Ableton and Fruity Loops that they honestly cannot even imagine a world without pain. They're also usually making trap beats for SoundCloud because they think that's going to get Timbaland's attention or something.

If you're a big fan of blurry 5pt white text on gray backgrounds, installers that do not work at all, indecipherable mystery-meat navigation cues, buggy, budget-rate USB controllers that physically fry ports, write-once-run-nowhere compatibility libraries that are always 5 years behind the rest of the world and never-ending spin loops in QWindowSystemInterfacePrivate::handleWindowSystemEvent that result in you not being able to use any of the things you paid entirely too much money for then you might love Native Instruments. If you're anybody else, don't support horrible European engineering. Emagic and Propellerheads were the only people on the continent who knew how to build Mac software that wasn't terrible and those people are all doing it for American companies now.

Google "Native Instruments" and "racism" if you want some more reasons why this "industry standard" is a complete joke propped up by payola.

Ancient software lets them down

Ancient software lets them down. They have an excellent selection of libraries from both them and third parties, but the poorly designed, glitchy and unstable software, which wouldn't look out of place in the 1990s, ruins the user experience completely. I do not have such problems on any product from other vendors. I also think that their products are a little over priced. I really think that NI should focus on software design issues as this seems to be a very common complaint from customers.
