It's no wonder our car insurance is so…

It's no wonder our car insurance is so expensive. Billed my insurer for work they didn't do. My car just had it's scratches 'buffed out' and they claimed they'd replaced panels. The staff are really rude and it's just a cowboy setup. Avoid and use your own garage, your insurer legally has to allow you to do that.

Never had such a bad experience from any company as much as Nationwide Accident Repairs Bradford!!!!

People I was dealt with by and who lied are -ch****tte and p*ppa!

Avoid this company unless you want such bad experience and not getting your car back!

I had read reviews and to be honest I…

I had read reviews and to be honest I wasn't holding much hope,
My insurance had my car picked up by nationwide following a rta, i was contacted by nationwide to inform me that they was picking my car up from the recovery place the following day and taking it to the Ellesmere Port center, then another call once they had picked it up and informing me they would call once it’s been looked at, which again they did and explained what they was going to be doing and what parts was needed etc, there was an issue with a part being on back order but I was kept up to date with that, yesterday I had my car back. Same amount of fuel that was in when it left was in when returned, all items in the boot was in the boot on return, and I really cannot fault the work at all..... I would recommend these in a heart beat.

cancelled twice and have not yet refunded me..

6 weeks ago I called my insurance company Hastings Direct with a chip in my windscreen. Repairable. They put me through to nationwide motor glass who 'set me up on the system', requested I pay them 85£ and then told me they would be in touch in the next few days. 2 weeks went by (I was away with work) get back, no post, no phone call, no date. and now the glass was cracked. Called them again, they 'set me up on the system' and asked for the money, again. Explained twice what happened ... then got passed on to somebody who knew what they were doing and found my existing account. We went through dates on the phone to discover the following thursday (10 days away) was the soonest they could get to me, and the repair man would contact me 1 hour before he arrived, between 9am-5pm. Following Thursday comes, I get a phone call. 11:30am. The glass was not delivered !! After a lengthly discussion with my insurance company and nationwide, we agreed I would get it repaired myself and nationwide would refund the 85£. guess what. coming up to 2 weeks later, no refund has hit the bank and I can't through to them ! I'm not what you would call, a happy customer...

Booked them in to replace my windscreen…

Booked them in to replace my windscreen and they damaged the trim around the window. Fitter was going to leave the car with the damaged trim off leaving the car undriveable. Got through to Sandip in complaints and ended up having several very frustrating conversations where he kept talking over me and wasn't prepared to listen to my point of view. The fitter Lee Dixon came across as though he had never fitted a windscreen before but carried on a damaged the car further. Then blamed the fact that the car had already had a windscreen and it wasn't his fault. I could get the parts from Ebay. Steer well clear of these complete muppets as they don't care about the standard of their work or theur customers.

Just avoid them

Just avoid them. Complete waste of time even if they are one of the contractors for Hastings Direct. 1st instance they brought the wrong windscreen and 2nd instance the technician didn't show up (with no phone call to tell me so). For the price, it may sound good but for the hassle, it's not worth it. I've been driving for a month now with a huge crack spanning the whole width of my windscreen waiting for these guys to actually come and replace my windscreen. Lack of customer service, punctuality and just outright cowboys.

Inappropriate and unprofessional behaviour

An employee Jonathan , Nationwide crash repair, Mitcham dropped off my repaired car today and when I asked for the receipt of the payment, he said that the cost would be paid by a third party not myself. I then received a call that I was supposed to make the payment so the same employee returned. I had an urgent surgery appointment that I was already running late for so I asked him to wait for a while or return later. Then he blocked my driveway and stop me for my GP appointment at Bishopsford road surgery. He said that he would not let me leave without making the payment. He used unprofessional and inappropriate language. He was accompanied by another man and he came out of the car and said he forced to make the payment . My wife has made the payment on phone to their office person. In addition to this, they said that they would call the police. I would have happily made it but I was already 10 minutes late for GP appointment because of them.

In this way, they harassed me and wrongly accused me even though I was the first to inquire, calmly, about making the payment.
Later about 6pm Nationwide crash repair Mitcham, manager called me and apologise for his employee misconduct, unprofessional behaviour and inappropriate language.

Would not recommend - go via your own preferred garage.

This was through the person who hit my car’s insurers. They kept my car for 25 days, didn’t fix everything and have left paint splatter on the inside of my car. I would recommend sorting yourself rather than buying into the ease of collection / drop off - this is not flexible or easy for those who work.

Poor service from LV & Their Chosen Repairers Nationwide Car Repairs in Norwich

Poor service from LV & Their Chosen Repairers Nationwide Car Repairs
A pheasant hit my drivers door mirror smashing it and damaged the drivers door window. I’m with LV insurance, due to the cost of the replacement door mirror and window I decided to claim on the insurance.

By law, you can only drive a car with two usable mirrors from the choice of the rear view, passenger door and drivers door mirrors, however one MUST BE THE DRIVERS DOOR MIRROR. As mine was smashed to bits, I knew I wasn’t allowed to drive it legally.

Sara from Nationwide called after LV had contacted them, Sara wanted to arrange the collection of my car that they were then going to DRIVE the 40 miles back to Norwich from my home. I explained this isn't possible due to the drivers door mirror being in a thousand pieces and legally the car can not be driven, it will need to be collected on a lorry “Don’t worry, we have driven far worse than that” she said !!

This immediately put me on notice that I should not entrust my few month old £70,000 car with them!

Cowboys sprung to mind, why would I let someone I don’t know drive 40 miles in my new car which officially shouldn’t be driven on the road, who clearly has the attitude of, don’t worry about it!! I’m sure if the Nationwide employee had had an accident in my car whilst driving it illegally, they and LV would have put it all right and the police would have turned a blind eye?

No of course not.

Nationwide, your overall Google and Glassdoor employees reviews say it all. TERRIBLE!!

I for one will be going elsewhere from LV when the car insurance is due for renewal. I was going to have to pay an extra £250 to get the car repaired at a place of my own choice, which was a Mercedes dealership I have dealt with for years and purchased my car from, work they were capable of doing in their workshop. I know and trust them. LV wavered the extra £250 policy excess due to the experience and wayward attitude from Nationwide.

Moral of the experience of LV and Nationwide , take your insurance elsewhere because LV only partner with Nationwide repair centres. The nearest one to me from the Bury St Edmunds area is Norwich!!

We only learn how good insurance companies are when we make a claim, in this instance, both failed miserably.

I made numerous phone calls to LV during the experience and had to push them to get communicating with the garage to authorise the repair, they suggested because it was then being done by my own choice of repairers, they can take up to five days to authorise it!! Not acceptable, this wasn’t a big repair.

LV also told me because the car was being repaired through my own choice of repairers, I was then not due to have a loan hire car! The repairing garage very kindly loaned me a car for three days but needed it back, I had to then plead to LV to keep to the terms of my policy and sort out a hire car, which they then did and Enterprise in Ipswich sorted out a car for me. The only good experience out of this was from Enterprise in Ipswich.

LV told me they will be passing the unprofessional comments back to Nationwide Car Repairs as to why they didn’t get my car to repair, and I suggested they and or LV contact me for a discussion about it. Still no calls or anything from LV or Nationwide. They couldn’t care less attitude was apparent from start to finish

Out of 188 reviews on here, they only get 2 stars!! doesn't that tell you something?

Don’t believe everything you read.

My insurance company use Nationwide so I had no say in who would repair my car, so I did what anyone would do and read the reviews. I must admit the reviews did not fill me with joy, so when Nationwide phoned to dispute some of the work required I immediately became defensive, assuming this was how they did business. However, they were right to dispute it and carried out the rest of the repairs quickly and professionally. I also had a courtesy car from them which was delivered promptly and was appropriate replacement for my vehicle. I was kept up to date frequently and everyone who phoned was courteous and informative. I would be happy to use them again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

My insurance company MoreThan use Nationwide accident repairs when my car was in an accident and required bodywork repairs.
They were obliged to supply me with a courtesy car within 8 hours of incident reporting, The incident happened Tuesday 15:30 and was reported at this time I took the Wednesday off work and waited all day but no courtesy car arrived. I phoned them 8 times to be hung up on, passed from pillar to post. They would say yes we have arranged this just to get me off the line. Absolute waste of time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I will have to taxi to work as I have a disability so cannot use public transport. I will claim my insurance company and hope they retrieve the costs from this horrific company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Absolutely awful - 8 weeks and work not completed

Nationwide repairs (Exway Kingsteignton) was absolutely awful. We are originally informed that the work would take a few days. Sadly, after 8 weeks we decided that enough was enough. The terrible customer service (not one single phone call in the first 6 weeks until we liaised with Kim the Manager). The garage informed me that it had been at a well known Land Rover dealership for 4 days. I rang them immediately and this was a blatant lie, as they had no record of our car. I then called Nationwide back and they said "oh we changed our mind and decided to send it somewhere else". This garage was told to keep costs down but mend the new camera which not not fitted correctly, fix a water leak and some other work, to repair the work which was undertaken by Nationwide. After over 8 weeks of incompetence, we decided to remove the car from Nationwide and take it to a competent garage. On collection, our immaculate car was absolutely filthy and the scratch marks hadn't even been polished out. We waited whilst these simple scratches were polished and took a video of the disgusting state of the interior. This video has been forwarded to the insurance company who are pursuing our complaint. After a comment on FB, Nationwide were quick to ask us to not place any correspondence on social media, but now 5 days down the line, we still don't have any answers, and we still need to repair our car. Please please avoid this incompetent, rude company at all costs.

Terrible repair company

Terrible repair company. Wouldn’t recommend you claim on your insurance, more hassle than it is worth. If I would have known the amount of issues they would cause I wouldn’t of bothered. Third time returning my vehicle and the engine light suddenly appears. When I approach nationwide they claim it’s nothing to do with the repair and this is out of their control.

Awful AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Awful AVOID AT ALL COSTS
lies and excuses total lack of customer care couldn’t give a damn attitude poor quality workmanship worst of all left my car parked outside the front in a carpark Unlocked for all to access. The courtesy car was totally unsuitable, my wife has health issues therefore can’t drive a manual only an automatic which they knew but still insisted on giving me a manual and they took the attitude of like it or lump it!! It took eight weeks to do a simple repair that should have been done in less than a week when returned the car was dirty greasy hand marks when mentioned they said they are not a valeting centre and they had the audacity to say they wouldn’t accept the courtesy back car back unless I had had it validated. I wish I had read the other views on other sites they are damning if I had I would never have let them near my car !!! A total disgrace to the motor industry.

Mixed review - Lincoln site are Shocking, Grantham site are Fantastic

Bit of a mixed review from me due to using multiple sites so i'll start with the good.

The Grantham site are great, they did an excellent job of a repair that the Lincoln site made a huge mess of.

Now for the REALLY BAD!!

I had a small bump which resulted in some minor work to my front bumper, a few scratches, a small crack, a replacement badge and a replacement number plate. Without going into great detail, the Lincoln site were given 5 attempts to fix the issues, each time the car was returned there were different problems with the finish. Eventually the insurance company sent an assessor who agreed the work wasn't good enough but again, the Lincoln site still failed to repair it properly and it was decided it would be sent elsewhere.

Not only had the team at Lincoln managed to make a huge mess of the repairs, i caught them taking my car to McDonalds so they could have lunch (and sit and eat on my cream leather seats). They also had to return to the garage on one occasion because they'd attached the bumper incorrectly and then when i thought it couldn't get any worse, the driver decided it was ok to hit 103mph while bringing the car back to me... he clearly didn't see the cameras.

Despite all of the above, I agreed to let the Grantham site attempt to fix the problems and although it took them a bit longer (they found other issues with the poor work) they had it back to me in about 7 working days with all the work completed perfectly.
