Everything might look great from a distance! But be careful!
I’ve been working with Namecheap for a long time. I don’t know if it’s a new management approach or something else, but over the last 3 months, the quality of everything has really started to decline.
Customer service is terrible. Absolutely terrible.
When you have a problem, you’re first greeted by an AI. You explain your issue, and it just directs you to pages X, Y, and Z (none of which provide a solution—they’re just full of SEO keywords!).
You switch from the AI to customer service. Someone answers, and you explain the problem again.
Then they transfer you to someone else.
Then to someone else.
Each person reviews the conversation for 5–15 minutes, and in the end, support agents like Vlad—who have no technical knowledge but are labeled “Technical Support” in the chat—step in.
You explain your problem, but they respond with things like, “No, that’s wrong! Everything’s fine!” Vlad sees the world through rose-colored glasses—which is great—but he needs to see some reality too.
As I said, I’ve been working with them for a long time, but there’s no doubt now that I’ll be moving all my services to another provider!
I hope you’ll be careful!

The company is great until you want to transfer your domain. I attempted to transfer my domain to another server but was locked out of the account and because the email that was registered was no longer accessible I was unable to unlock it myself. I contacted customer service and it took them a very long time to respond. By the time they did respond, the domain had expired which meant I would have to create a new account and pay, just for them to start the process of unlocking me out of my original account. They told me in the alternative I could just wait a few months until they released it and then purchase it from whichever company I decided to use. Sounded great, I decided to wait. It’s been months and it never showed as released. I finally decided to check to see who it was registered to and imagine my surprise, the company bought it for themselves for a year just to keep me from being able to transfer it to another company. What a shady, scammy way to deal with customers! Before this, I would have definitely recommended me them because their prices are so cheap but now I would tell everyone to run away! Pick a legitimate company that doesn’t use scammy, petty practices with customers/former customers.

Support for your website is the most important thing to consider when choosing a reputable host for your main shop window. Imagine your main source of income is your website and suddenly it goes offline, no one can buy anything, no one can find you. The longer it is offline then the trust factor comes into play, people worry you will not send their goods or provide warranty. All this is solved with immediate 24/7 support from people who do actually care and have the expertise to get you back online fast. I am a customer and I've been a Namecheap customer for 10 years and it is the support that keeps me here! I have sites with 123-Reg, GoDaddy, but Namecheap support is by far the best I have experienced.

Great features for domain management, individually and in bulk, and an excellent support team

The support person Ajay K. was excellent and knew how to assist in an easy to understand manner. Of all the support persons Ajay was stellar! When I receive customer service like this, I am reassured I made the right choice signing up with this Company.

I was a happy customer, until they began following Godaddy's practive of bait and switch pricing. Starts low, then gradually doubles. I own over 10 domains, and it gets pretty costly. I was advised to switch to their sister site, Spaceship, but they seem to be doing the same. Let's see how long before their prices also double. Besides that, I found their platform pretty easy to use, compared to Spaceship, which I'm slowly getting used to.

I would like a discount on all my subscriptions.

I have used their domain service for about a year and everything has worked well.

Excellent support today. The agent took the time to investigate the issue properly at server level and identified that the Duplicator loopback failure was being caused by a recent HAProxy anti-bot security change.
They also helped clarify my backup options, explained the disk-usage issue, and confirmed what could safely be removed without affecting the live site.
I really appreciated that the troubleshooting eventually moved beyond generic WordPress steps and reached a clear technical explanation and workable next steps. Very helpful and professional support.

I had an issue with my domain renewal after the domain had expired, and I was also concerned because I had been charged twice for two failed payment attempts.
Saranya from Namecheap support was very helpful and clearly explained what had happened. She confirmed that both failed orders had already been refunded to my card and guided me on how to reactivate the expired domain correctly instead of trying to renew it.
The support was clear, professional, and helpful. My issue was resolved successfully. Thank you for the great customer service!

I am yet to see a hosting server like Namecheap. There costumer attendance is superb. I will chose them over and over again.
Pricing is going up and up and up, and there are no more discounts on renewals for many domain names.
Also, having multiple domains (none used to generate income) costs went up a lot during the years.
Edit:I changed my review from 3* to 5* as Customer Service was very quick to respond to my reply as I have a good number of domains. From the customer service perspective, Namecheap were very good over the years, and I dealt with a few other domain registrars.

Have been with Namecheap for many years. Today I had some certificate issues and Namecheap support patiently worked with me to guide me through the problem. Very much appreciated.

I didn't want to renew and somehow it renewed anyway

My website is down because of an email verification, no options where to resend an email verification, no logs to see what's actually going on, i editted my contact information to trigger that verification email, nothing worked, it couldn't have been any worse, Meta ads are already spending money to promote this website and everything is ruined now because of this

user-friendly interface and features, but the company's policy and service are terrible
the account has been blocked and while the proceedings are underway, all domains have been stopped and websites are not working due to the registrar's fault, avoid this office
