Naan Sense cancelled event but failed to refund R15,300 despite repeated written promises
I am posting this review to document my experience with Naan Sense regarding a cancelled dining event and an unpaid refund.
I prepaid R15,300 for a Naan Sense dining event scheduled for November 2025. The event was cancelled by Naan Sense.
On 4 December 2025, Naan Sense confirmed in writing that a full refund would be processed within 21 days. No refund was received.
On 12 January 2026, Naan Sense again confirmed in writing that the refund would be processed within 14 business days, with payment expected by 30 January 2026. This deadline was also missed.
After these missed commitments, there were extended periods of non-communication, despite multiple follow-ups via email, phone, and WhatsApp.
On 30 January 2026, Naan Sense advised that they do not have the cashflow to refund as promised and would try to refund by 28 February 2026, citing internal administrative processes. Given the history of missed refund promises and the length of time since cancellation, I did not agree to further delays.
As of today, no refund has been received.
