Terribly managed business.
Terribly managed business.
Verging on criminal in fact.
Ofsted have closed 11 out of their 18 school childcare contracts due to unacceptable standards of service.
Their remaining contracts have failed to pass inspection, receiving highly critical reports regarding their business practices..

The app and website for their leisure services is awful.
Very long waiting time to get through to just one single call center rep who is paid a pittance to spend their day patiently listening to infuriated customers complaints, to which they are very understanding, and afterwards very efficient and helpful.
I feel sorry for her.
The senior management are demonstrably unfit to run a creche or a bath let alone a business..
The fact they not only manage to stay afloat but are extremely buoyant / swimming in cash speaks volumes about the critically unhealthy state of the state...

I have seen first hand the incompetence of this organisation. They have run Cobtree Manor Golf course into the ground, the greens are in an absolutely shocking condition (and senior managers deny they were informed of the problem several months ago, even though there are emails to prove they're lying). Fortunately, they have now lost the contract as they were in breach of the conditions they had promised when awarded the contract. Should Mytime bid for any further contracts for golf courses you have been warned. Utterly useless bunch.
Pathetic customer service
Pathetic customer service. My request to cancel the membership was not actioned on time. After noticing the direct debit after few months, they are asking me to submit the proof that called. When explained in detailed over email, no one even bothered to even acknowledge the email even after multiple follow ups and finally cancelled the wrong account which was not even requested
Complete waste of space
Complete waste of space, trying to book a round at High Elms and as well as the cost of the booking they want to take for a booking I did in April! Tried calling 9th in the queue just can’t be bothered with them, bring back the good old days when you could just ring the course. Sent an email they replied saying their getting a high volume, I wonder why

Disgusting facilities
Disgusting facilities, hasn't been cleaned in weeks. Mold growing on the ceiling above the changing cubicles. Pity I can give a 0 star review
Emailed the management, got a generic reply from them. Yes, we'll look into it etc. Usual BS.
The staff was very rude!
I went to the soft play in Spa at Beckenham by Mytime Active today with my son and a friend of mine with her son.We haven't been there before so we don't know how it works. We only paid at the reception and went in. It was around 10am. There were two people behind the reception, nobody explained anything to us.Around 11am the lady from the reception said that is time to leave. But in the website is written 1.5 hours so I went to show her that and ask why we should leave earlier. She was a bit rude with me. Could've explained nicely that the first session has finished which we didn't know. We thought the session starts at the time you arrive. We started getting ready to leave and on the way I just went to tell her that she could've said it nicely as we don't know how it works. She told me she won't apologise for the way she spoke to me but only that she hasn't explained to us about the sessions.
If we knew it before paying maybe we could've done a session later on. But that's fine, now we know.
I only left very disappointed and her attitude ruined my mood so just wanted to let you know.
As I really wanted to come more often but left with a bad experience because of her.

I have just joined the Gym at West Wickham. Stefanie could not have been more welcoming and arranged for me to meet Josh for a medical check and introduction how to use the equipment. Josh went the extra 2 miles to make sure I understood how to set up the equipment and gave me a fitness plan that he will see how I progress. I am 75 years old and not been to a Gym for 50 years. Everyone I have been in contact with has been courteous, professional and caring.
absolutely diabolical customer service…
absolutely diabolical customer service do not join, they have put their prices up and refuse to give me a discount after being with them for 6 years STAY AWAY. there are better gyms for half price, save your money.
Courteous but late and illiterate response to complaint
The Spa at Beckenham website timetable wrongly showed lane swimming available when the main pool was full of rampaging kids (schools half-term). My complaint via the website contact form got no response within the promised two working days, so I raised a second complaint via snailmail. The manager sent a courteous but very illiterate response, apologising that my initial complaint had evidently got "lost with his emails", and promising action with the webteam to ensure future timetable accuracy. We shall see if this is fulfilled!
Most frustrating website
This is quite literally the worst and most frustrating website I have ever encountered.
I wanted to find information about golf club membership at several of the golf courses managed by this company. I spent ages searching for information on Lickey Hills, Cocks Moor and Hatchford Brook.
There is absolutely no membership pricing information available and there is no telephone number to call to speak to someone. The only way to get information is to complete an enquiry form and wait for someone to respond, which seems contrary to the purpose of a web site.
SERIOUSLY... HOW DIFFICULT CAN IT BE??
Based upon the website experience and now looking at general feedback on Trustpilot I will not be pursuing this any further. I can only assume that I am one of many lost opportunities for potential business.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. WOULD NOT LET ME CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP. No manager was available. Thanks his company is a joke and waste of money

I had quite a negative first experience…
I had quite a negative first experience here swimming due to the instructor not being interested to teach and then suddenly having a new one. Second, to this the pool where lessons are usually held is closed and I was not informed of this when I started my lessons - 7 weeks in and it is still closed with no information as to when it is going to open. My new instructor though is nice, she has been kind and attentive to all the learners.
Raised a complaint and even then still have not been properly informed of any updates.
The changing rooms are not clean, I have only seen the floor being cleaned once since going. The cubicle doors do not always shut and there needs to be general maintenance on them and the lockers..
The pool area is so noisy that it is really difficult to hear the teacher.

I attended beckenham spa first time for swimming lessons.
My sons who have already been were all excited.
As we walked into the reception part I noticed everyone just walking in. No one waiting. I went over to the receptionist, two lady's one young and the other older both chatting to each other.
They looked up at me and the older lady had a tone then asked "can I help".
I mentioned I haven't been here before my sons have swimming lessons, the lady said in that tone again " over there" where I asked
"over there i will let you through" and then continued to talk to the younger lady.
As we walked through the metal gate I noticed it was open, left open when I had to return to see if the swim hats where in, last week didnt have any.
Went into the cubicles mixed with children, adults both genders.
In other swimming sessions only children were delegated that time.
I was in shock.
1. Mixed cubicles
2. Adults and children running around
3. Cubicles, small, not enough.
4. Smell of faeces
5. Lifeguard: mopping the floor with a mop black with filth!
Then as I finished getting the boys ready I looked around to see where we go, I followed a mum and daughter to the small pool entrance.
Surrounded by parents waiting and parents with children.
Crowded is a understatement.
I Called over to the male instructor could he help and said he didn't understand then said I don't know!
He called over a young girl and i asked where do my sons go?
Told her there names and she said she would find out... where is the register to call each child for each group with the instructor and introducing yourself?
As I waited my older son went to the larger pool and joined that group my five year old son waited as he can be shy.
She returned and told him to come.
Working with children reasure them, make them at ease.
Walking right in front of him and then pointed to the pool.
I was ready to take them both out.
Then the instructor came and I could see she was kind and listened to my son and all the children.
As I watched the other lady who I spoke to previously said In a harsh tone "No cafe" shocked I looked around and she was looking at me but... three other parents were also standing there and as I walked towards the exit and to the cafe the same people were standing there as i looked through the widow of the cafe into the pool.
As I stood behind people sitting at the cafe, watching there children they kept looking back at me, I felt like I wasn't welcome!
Watching my sons, one in the distance other in the small pool I noticed the instructor very hands on with the children and my son.
The other lady who I spoke to previously just sat on the side. Shouting and then re-doing her hair not once but four times in a space of the first ten minutes of the lesson. She jumped in once into the pool to help, with her face like thunder.
My sons looked happy when coming out so a went back into the changing room, still a smell of feaces.
I went to the entrance of the small pool, all the parents and children waiting to drop of or pick up, not organised at all. Noticed no register was called out so parents could collect there children, safeguarding issue here.
What if someone took a child into a cubicle?
Not happy with this and you need to do something about this situation ASAP!!!!
Is it a clown show …
I have honestly never known a company like it for covering each other’s arses. Incompetence personified. I am a member of the golf section but I see from reviews on here it is all over the business ( is that what it is ? ) . I have tried to speak to head office but apparently they don’t know who is in charge and just refer me back to the high elms who will then cover up the issues by keeping it nice a local and quiet whilst continuing not doing what they are paid for .
Swimming lessons repeatedly cancelled as pools closed
My son has been attending swimming lessons at the Walnuts in Orpington for a few years. We are used to the changing rooms being dirty, the toilets smelling, and the showers being out of order on a regular basis. The pool has hit a new low over the winter with the boiler frequently breaking down and both pools being closed. My son has just had his third swimming lesson in a row cancelled due to the pool being closed again. I guess the council won't invest in a new boiler while they decide whether to bulldoze the very dilapidated centre and replace it. Shame as the swimming instructors are lovely and the Reception staff are helpful.

Took Money without Authorisation
So last year I looked at membership. I got as far as entering my bank details and then changed my mind. I decided it was too much money and didn't complete the registration.
Today I got a notification from my bank telling me a couple of my direct debits had not gone through due to lack of funds. This surprised me as I knew the account had enough money in it to cover any regular payments.
It turns out that MyTime had taken two payments of £76.50 from my account for a membership I hadn't agreed to. So I looked tor a contact number for them. I found one by Googling and the number has a recorded message saying the number no longer takes calls. This struck me as very suspicious. What company doesn't have a direct number in this day and age.
I then found an email address for them (again Google). The automated response from the email robot said they were taking a "very high volume of calls" (standard for any company these days; perhaps they should employ more staff) and would get back as soon as possible.
To their credit they phoned me within an hour and admitted they had taken the money despite me not having paid a deposit. He would "contact a manager" to authorise my refund but it might take up to 28 days!
28 days to refund money they admit they took without proper authorisation which can be transferred in micro-seconds.
Needless to say, I won't be using MyTime Active at any time in the future.
1. no contact number and had to search Google
2. had to search Google to find a contact email as it's not obvious on their site.
3. took money despite application not being completed.
4. taking "up to" 28 days to give my money back.
I am going to complain both to the finanical ombudsman and to the charities comission.
As far as I can see this is sharp practice.
If it wasn't for the fact I use one account for direct debits and it had gone over it's limit how long would they have continued taking money from me?
This is disgraceful behaviour on their part.
