The staff are so helpful, efficient and charming. Nothing is too much for them. The selection of specs is far superior to other options in the county
All staff were not only very professional and efficient but kind and thoughtful when I took my mother for her appointment. She has dementia and was treated with respect and dignity.
I would recommend both the Dereham branch (very accessible for people with disabilities) and the Norwich one (I love the range of frames.
I have used Moss and Leakey in Dereham for many years now and wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. The service is excellant, Dr Sassi is very attentive. All the staff are welcoming and friendly it is always a pleasure going in there.
Twenty years ago I found Moss and Leakey in Norfolk I have stayed with them ever since and that in itself should be a recommendation for using their service.
Currently I am looked after by the dereham branch.
Great team, and eye opening (no pun intended) on how much better decent quality lenses are compared to the cheaper ones. Very personal service and worth every penny to make sure your eyes are not straining.
I have been looking for high end glasses for weeks and had visited several high end stores. I visited the Moss & Leakey Norwich store where I had a very high pressure sales experience.
I went in because the far more laid back chap from the Dereham store had told me they had more frames.
The displays in the Norwich store make it really difficult to see the frames because the background is dark, giving absolutely no contrast..
I have never experienced such high pressure sales tactics anywhere ever and I am 51. One particular older gentleman invaded my space continually by shoving glasses on my face that I hadn't even expressed an interest in looking at. It was a very uncomfortable experience.
There were absolutely no infection control measures. Every other shop I have visited in the last few months sterilised frames between customers. But not at Moss & Leaky. They only care about sales.
They wouldn't give me information about the frames I liked, which they quoted would cost me £780 with occupational lenses.
This experience actually made me give up on spoiling myself with THE glasses.
I ended up going around the corner to Specsavers, where they sterilise all glasses that have been touched. I found a couple of pairs I liked and got 2 pairs with occupational lenses for Less than half the amount Moss & Leakey wanted for one.
Simon and Marilyn are wonderful in the Dereham shop. They went to a lot of trouble to help me today, as did the Optician. Highly recommended.
Don't go for 18 month anti scratch guarantee. It's rubbish as when they sell you glasses they say any scratches they will fix free of charge within 18 months. Then say NO THEY DON'T when you walk in with a scratched lens a month later. But not to miss a trick then try to sell you another pair of glasses at half price. Then the management will deny any statements to that effect about guarantees after you have paid for it. Like a lot of others quick to take your money & over charge for things that you can't use.
