MoneyHelper also provides Pension Wise, a free and impartial government service to help you understand the different ways you can take your pension pot with our one-hour appointments.
You can get an appointment if you have a UK-based defined contribution pension and are:
- 50 or over
- or under 50 and:
- inherited someone else's pension, or
- are retiring early due to poor health.
We can also help you:
- deal with debt
- reduce your spending and build up savings
- navigate life events such as redundancy, relationship breakdown, retirement or bereavement

The hour telephone appointment was well presented and the resulting summarised report allowed me to have a full appreciation of the options and tax implications of all options.
