I spent $10K on a range that has

I spent $10K on a range that has, basically, had something or other wrong with it for the 5 years that I have owned it. Now my warranty is about to expire. I could have purchased a new oven every year for the last 5 years for the money I spent on this unit.
WHAT HAPPENED to Miele?

Hi everyone

Hi everyone, Miele coffee machines are about $4300. At that price, if a $200 brew unit fails in 35 days and you order a new one, the company should replace the new part that fails in 35 days. Their customer service does not inform you that they have a 30-day policy on parts. I was on the phone literally for over 2 hours to find out that they wouldn't. The new unit they sent at $200 did not click properly (from day one) and the cone up top keeps popping out of place. They would not replace the defective unit. I am building a new home for which I'd never install any Miele appliance. I have had their products for the last 10 years and I am quite disappointed. There are too many other beautifully made appliances with much higher quality than Miele and MUCH BETTER considerate service. Don't buy Miele. Look for my video tweet with videos of the defective unit they sent me at $200. Mark

Awful Dryers

Awful, terrible company. They charged me $1700 for a dryer that started having problems barely a year in. Then they tried to blame me for the issues, saying I was using it too much. They are crooks and con artists. I have had several other dryers used much more and never had a problem. Maytag, Whirlpool, GE are all much better machines.

Miele - Poor quality, worse service...

I purchased the Miele W1 Washer & Dryer combo set - almost $7,000 together and the washer worked fine for 2 years and then just stopped working. Luckily I bought during a promotion and had the 10 year warranty. However, customer service is very, very poor. Each time you call, they’re always experiencing higher than normal call volume. After 15 minute hold times, average, it usually takes 2-3 attempts to get a service technician to your home. The wait time is usually 2 to 3 weeks, and the time window they give you is never respected. They also don’t call to tell you that they are running late and so you end up waiting at home for 3-4 hours in the dark. This last service call (#3 so far in 2 years) the agent told me that the technician is on their way 20 minutes after the end of the time window, and that a call or text is impossible because they are hands deep in the machine, and don’t have time to call - I.e no respect for dedicated clients. Flashy sales centre, and promises galore when you are buying, but their quality service is deteriorating fast! Time to try another brand.

My Miele Range arrived pre-broke

My Miele Range arrived pre-broke. First they didn't have the anti-tipping hardware, so a month later they delivered the range, but with broken with burners. They replaced the whole range, but this time the oven fans were broken. They fixed the fans, but after 4 years of using (twice a month, because every time I used it I got a face full of steam), the oven broke again. They have sent the service people out four times, but can't seem to fix it. The grill burns food. So if you want a crappy oven that doesn't work, a grill that turns your food to ash, and a stove that doesn't light, this is the product for you! Particularly if you like waiting for service people.

Poor customer care and services

Poor customer care and services.
Paid 6 thousand dollars for the coffee machine, stopped working after a year.
When called for repairing, they gave me almost 40 days appointment.
Two internal parts of the machine were leaking from day first ( German maid parts )
, were detected by repair man to be replaced. No calling by Miele after the repair man left my house as they were supposed to call me, It took another month to get the parts from overseas, then another month for repair man to come and fix the pricy coffee machine.
Still , after almost three months, waiting for them to come to fix my pricy coffee machine to fix.
So so disappointing, never expected from a German maid appliance to work like this and poor customer care.
I don’t recommend any body to buy their products.

Fixed a drainage problem with the help of Rob

We have a nine year old Miele dishwasher. We were having a problem with a horrible smell from the drain. I called Miele to get help. I spoke with Rob and he helped me to correct the problem without calling outside help. Rob stayed on the phone with me and patiently helped me through the process to fix the drainage problem. What a successful experience. I love the customer service with Miele and Rob is a fantastic asset to the company.

I do not recommend the Miele compact c2 electro plus power line vacuum. The motor head is heavy. The hose requires a plug connected to the canister which doesn’t allow the hose Flex to turn. As a result the hose becomes twisted on itself and can collapse. This is my second Miele. Model s 534 was ideal but this cheap quality replacement at 700 dollars isn’t worth it. I have switched to shark brand for 1/5 of the price and I don’t even have to sacrifice helps air filtration.

Dissapointed with recent Miele purchase

I have been using Meile machines for over 23 years, in that time I have had one washing machine and two dishwashers. The washing machine had never failed, so when my washing machine finally broke, I did not hestitate to order a new meile.
So it was delivered four days ago and it has a fault with the electronics ! When I contacted Meile I was told to replace the twindos2 cartridge. I explained that there was nothing wrong with the cartridge but the operator insisted that they 'clog up'. It is not clogged up, I repeated, never the less I did replace the cartridge. Guess what same fault appeared. This machine has cost nearly £1000 pounds and is faulty. I am so dissapointed, especially as I am a staunch fan of Miele. The earliest an engineer can come out is 10 days. Luckily the machine is working in a fashion, though not washing properly?
Dissapointed does not fully express how I feel right now.

Do not place online orders with Miele!

I naively placed an online order with Miele. The response email indicated "After placing your order, please allow 3 business days for your order to arrive at the shipping address." The cost of the full order was quickly charged to my credit card, but nothing happened. Miele does not respond to phone calls or emails. Eight days after placing the order, I have still not received a shipping confirmation email, much less received the items I ordered. Do not place online orders with Miele!

Horrible Service they should be…

Horrible Service they should be ashamed. I call to see what the light flashing on my dishwasher meant after it quit working. I was told I need a repair man to come look at it. While I was at work they the repair man came to look at dishwasher while my wife was home. With out even taking a tool out, told my wife that the computer board was shot. He advised her to get a new dishwasher, that it would be 1000 dollars to fix ours. My wife paid the $269 service fee. Once i was told what had happened, I phone to complain and ask for a refund. I had ask to speak with a manager but was told one would call me back after explaining what had happened. I never did get a manager to call me back just a person trying to sell me a new dishwasher with an apology as there is nothing they are willing to do. As well there was a lot of excuses for the poor service blaming the dishwasher for its age. I am not a dumb person but I am very sure that I could have read the light code to some one and saved the service call. Braden Nicholls of the Miele Calgary service department is a terrible technician that is only looking to sell dishwasher not actually repair them. He needs to take a tool out of his work bag and work for his money.

Do the new dishwashers stink like my 2019 Lumen? Horrible smell! Only thing worse is Miele customer service. Stinks so bad after 2days you have to hold your breath to put more dishes in. Their so called service tells me to just run it all the time, then it won't smell !!!

WTZH730WPM WASHER/DRYER - DISHONEST

Little I knew when I purchased this machine less than a year ago!
- I was not mentioned the twin doses in the shop – I would’ve never bought it – but because it came with a set of twin doses detergent and voucher for more I thought, in good faith, to give it a try! YES, unfortunately, I took the bait!
- Tried few times to switch to my regular detergent but eventually run into issues every time and as I still had some twin doses detergent went back to that. Machine works well with twin doses, not that friendly or well without!
- It appears that after 4-6 or 8 weeks (sorry, I cannot recall exactly) after the twin doses are not used anymore the machine start putting all sorts of messages and is getting even harder to use even harder than normal (it’s less friendly without the twin doses) as the machine wants to have the twin doses hoses or pump or both cleaned!
- Funny enough, apparently this will have to be done every 6 weeks or so for the rest of my and my Miele machine life together! Well, I had no idea that I signed up for that sort of commitment!
- More, you will not be provided with what you need to wash the twin doses by Miele – you will have to purchase 2 empty plastic containers for approximately $70 AUD.
- The expensive twin doses detergent containers cannot be refilled, washed or even properly emptied, you will always lose some detergent, as they sealed, so you cannot use them for anything else
- There is more! According to the service technician the pump may broke if I don’t do “the wash” (the twin doses wash) in a timely manner! And repairs are over $1,000 AUD or more (don’t recall the exact figure) – likely not covered as I should clean the twin doses! Right? Using what, if Miele doesn’t even provide the empty containers?
- Why I didn’t return the machine in the 30 days? Well simply because I didn’t know how bad it is!
• The “deal break” came when I found out that twin doses should be cleaned by somebody if I’m away and not using the machine for more than 8 weeks, which I just found out from the service technician last week
• In good faith, I took the twin doses detergent bait! Even without me getting the twin doses detergent bait, the bad messages and drama doesn’t start in 30 days, takes longer
• I thought I’ll get used with it, maybe I’ll be impressed with something this very expensive machine does – well, not, stains remover button did nothing every time I used it, even with the “dirty clothes” setting, my son’s shirts were occasionally slightly smelling after a delicate, so really not much more that a regular washing machine!
- 8 kg is also a joke, allows 8 Kg ONLY for cottons! How many clothes are cottons those days? Not that many! My 8 kg load is definitely not cotton, so I cannot use the machine for 8 kg, however it is advertised as 8 kg wash!
- Not enough I paid $4,000 AUD on the machine, making sure I spend more on Miele each month, each year!
- Forgot to mention, there are over 100 pages of manual instructions! Good Luck! :-)

What is the true quality standard Miele?

10 days after my post
Finally Miele resolved the issue, and gave a new model. It took long but finally I have to say that they act according to the problem the machine had.
Thank you

My original post:
Miele has always been known for its quality a long lasting products. Well, here is the exception of not lasting and not caring.
I got a brand new Dishwasher on March 2018, and after 5 months of warranty overtime the dish washer broke down, the repair is mainly the cost of a new one, 900€!!, and the customer service, after 2 weeks of reporting the issue, is still studying the case. Customer service of Miele is NONE existing.
With my experience buying their products, cheap purchase a worthy. I would expect that a brand with a moto, “quality as always”, their products last as always too, and not a few months after warranty is over. SHAME!
Anyone experienced something like me? Any suggestion!! Thanks

The Warranty sucks.

The products are OK. Certainly not amazing quality if you take the price into account.
The 2 stars is for there warranty program. We live in Campbell River. When a product breaks they always have excuses why they can’t have it fixed. Only if you persist do they finally get some one to come out.
The last technician came from Victoria and was amazing! 5 stars for him and the only reason this review is not 1 star)
Now we have a new problem and were told he no longer works for Miele. We were told we should google someone to come and fix the freezer! How do we know who are Miele certified if they don’t even know.
Unless you live in a major centre; be aware of their warranty. They are quick to sell but slow to honour their warranty.

Poor service and disappointing appliance

Bought a Miele WCE320 washing machine in June last year from John Lewis Newcastle upon Tyne. First one flooded the utility room the first time I used it. John Lewis Newcastle was excellent replaced It immediately. This has now flooded the utility room again from the bottom of the door seal. As the first two years guarantee was with John Lewis I contacted the customer service centre to be told after a 40 minute wait to ring Miele. Which I did - they then stated the first available appointment was 8th September - nearly two weeks wait. Not very happy and not what I expected from a washing machine costing £1100 and only 14 months old. Very very disappointed

I paid $16,000 for a wine cooler

I paid $16,000 for a wine cooler, clothes washer and dryer and was then told delivery would be an additional 400$ non negotiable. I like the best but really hate the feeling of being ripped off. Buy a $300 appliance from corbeil, get free delivery anywhere and they take away your old stuff but the desire for the best just trumped the rip me off sentiment. The $400 delivery guys said the wine refrigerator was too heavy for them and they needed help. I’d love to show you the video my wife took of 68 year old me carrying in the fridge. Ripped off definitely has won the day.

If I could leave zero stars I would

If I could leave zero stars I would. I have a very expensive side by side fridge-freezer. It has been a nightmare from day one. It leaks water on the wood floors non-stop, there is always frost on the back of the fridge interior - the serviceman told me that nothing in the fridge should ever touch the back of the fridge - I have no words for this. The doors are covered in rust spots which started appearing in the first year and when I asked the serviceman what could be done he shrugged his shoulders. The doors are difficult to open and the door handles broke. Miele eventually replaced them - I am an engineer and they were inexcusably poorly designed - and the new design was much heavier. They still charged me for the service call even though it was their problem!! Miele is a complete disappointment. From an engineering point of view they should replace their staff and for manufacturing quality they should actually try to get into the 20th century, they are no where close to 21st century quality standards in manufacturing.

Appalling

Appalling. Would leave zero starts if I could. I took a day off work to stay home for delivery. No one bothered to let me know the driver wasn't going to make - I had to chase them. the driver apparently decided at 3:30 he would not bother even though the delivery window was until 5pm. When I called to find out where my nearly $2000 washing machine was, I was then put on hold for 15 minutes and then three different people are called me. I'm now expected to take another day off work. They are disorganised, poor communicators and unable to offer any innovative solutions for their errors. Would not recommend to a dead donkey. I've waited five days and adhered to their delivery conditions and they have failed. I will not be a repeat customer and I would encourage other potential customers to go elsewhere.
