Google search results didn't disappoint
I've only had my dehumidifier for a few days but I'm really happy with it! We live in an old flat with no double glazing so damp has been a huge problem, it's caused my childhood asthma to resurface, so I needed something that will help. It's easy to set up and use, the tank is also easy to remove and carry as it has a handle so it makes life easier.
The laundry function is amazing! I had 2 airers filled with clothes and everything dried really quickly, even with 1 airer behind the other the clothes on the back airer were only slightly damp when the clothes on the front airer had dried which I wasn't expecting.
We only have it on during the day so humidity rises overnight but it brings the humidity down to the pre-set 55%, you can change the setting but I haven't bothered to find out how yet.
One thing that did help is when I bought it, they automatically add 3 spare filters on your order. They're £33 I think but I found it useful because I don't know how long the filter will last, we have a cat so fur gets everywhere, but now I don't have to go online and panic about getting more filters when the 1st one needs replacing. The filters also have tabs so it's easy to remove without getting built up don't all over yourself when you change it. You can remove them from your order but it saves time adding later.
Only thing I forgot on the 1st day is there's a flap you have to open at the front before you turn it on but I was speed reading the instructions so I assume I missed it. No harm done though and it works fine. It does get the humidity down quite quickly as well.
It's not too loud but unless you fall asleep easily and are a heavy sleeper I wouldn't recommend it in your bedroom overnight. There's a night mode button but as far as I can tell it shuts the touch screen off but I don't think it runs any quieter than if you don't have it on night mode but I was playing around with it so maybe it needs a minute to wind down a bit.
Next day delivery was efficient and it arrived Monday morning without issue after I ordered it on Sunday before 6pm.
Overall it's quick, easy to use and there's a timer so you don't have to keep remembering to turn it off. The touch screen is easy to use and it doesn't take too much space. We are trying to buy a house so I needed something that will deal with a 3 bed house as well as a 2 bed flat. I'd definitely say go for this one.

British design and engineering at its best
I don't normally write reviews, but this product deserves one.
We purchased this Meaco dehumidifier from John Lewis in 2017, and eight years later it is still going strong. It has been used most days during damp periods and has performed flawlessly throughout its life.
The British design and engineering behind this unit have clearly resulted in a high-quality product built to last. In all the years we've owned it, the only maintenance required has been a quick filter clean, which takes no more than two minutes.
There's an old saying: "Buy cheap, buy twice." This dehumidifier proves exactly why spending a little more on a well-designed product is worth it. The reliability, performance and longevity have been outstanding, and it has easily exceeded our expectations.
A fantastic product that has provided years of trouble-free service. Highly recommended.

Having looked into the order, it appears there has been an issue between the item leaving our warehouse and being received by the courier. Unfortunately, we hadn't received any contact regarding the missing delivery, which is why we weren't aware there was a problem until we saw your review.
Regrettably, we no longer have any stock available to send a replacement, so I have arranged a full refund instead. This should be back with you within the next few working days, depending on your payment provider.
I've also raised this with our warehouse team for investigation, as we need to understand exactly what happened and ensure any issues within the dispatch process are addressed.

I ordered a brand-new dehumidifier and received it with severely water-damaged packaging. The box was wet, deformed and no longer suitable for storage or future transport. This is not the condition I would expect when purchasing a new product.
I contacted customer service and provided photos of the damage. While the company acknowledged my concerns, they repeatedly stated that because the unit was functioning, no compensation or replacement would be offered.
The only option provided was to return the item at my own expense, despite the fact that the issue existed when the product was delivered.
What disappointed me most was not just the condition of the package, but the lack of a reasonable customer-focused solution. A good company is judged by how it handles problems when they occur, and unfortunately this experience fell far below my expectations.
This was my first purchase from this company and it will also be my last.

2nd Meaco dehumidifier. I already have the ABC model and saw they were on offer so got the Arete for a bathroom with no windows. These are the best for removing moisture. So quiet and efficient too. Ordered this one on a Friday afternoon and it came Sunday!! Fully expected it to be on the Monday!

It arrived faster than expected. DPD delivery is always good because I get a text message and know when it's coming - and don't have to worry about it going astray. Did some testing, air conditioner is powerful and working very well.
