Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, do not use this app. If they mess up your order you won't be able to rectify it, mcdonalds won't take responsibility. They missed out items on my order but charged me anyway, they refer you to the app to sort out, however it's impossible it has no system in place on the app, you have to go through Uber which wasn't the issue in my case and only paid a half the refund standard practice. Honestly mcdonalds suck, there app sucks. they take your money don't provide the service

Terrible Customer Service

I wish I could give no stars! I order a delivery and received incorrect items. Was basically told tough, you won't get a refund (I couldn't eat the item they sent) and that's final. Customer service was not existent

When McDelivery goes wrong...

This review is to warn others about getting deliveries through the McDonalds app. McDonalds will take your order and your payment, but as soon as they have handed over the order to Uber for delivery, their responsibility is over. I ordered through the McDonalds app and had an Uber driver deliver it to me. When he handed it over to me, I noticed that the seal was open so I brought this to his attention. He explained in broken english that I needed to sort it out on the app and they will refund me. With that he legged it. I called McDonalds only to be told that once they hand over to Uber, I need to take it up with Uber. Uber dont have a phone support line for orders delivered via the McDonalds app. Instead they only have a chat line I got scripted responses. I detailed my problem and even uploaded an photo of the delivery with the seal open. I was promised that a 'specialized' team would call me to sort out the issue. As I couldnt wait for them, I went down myself to my local McDonalds' and ordered again. I'm glad I didnt wait as its been two days now and no specialized team called me. I went back on the chat again, only to have more scripted responses, promises that I'll be called by a specialized team. When I insisted that I atleast be told when they will contact me, my chats with the team were terminated. So this is a big warning to those of you who are planning to get a delivery using the McDonalds app. I'm sure ordering directly with Uber Eats might be different, and I've had a lot of deliveries from McDonalds which went well, but this is just to say that if it goes wrong like it did on this occasion then you have lost your money and you will not get a refund or even good customer service. Hope this helps someone.

Can't actually belive i have been…

Can't actually belive i have been robbed of 28£ . I ordered from the Mcdonalds app everything was fine untill it was passed to uber for delivery, my whole address changes from basildon to Guildford and when I tried to sort it out I was told I could cancel my order but wouldn't get my money back and to contact the Mcdonalds to sort it out which is a bit hard as the phone is constantly busy I have 3 hungry kids now with no lunch and Guildford Mcdonalds has got my 28£ for nothing im actually fuming

Appalling app

Appalling app, simply wanted to order a breakfast. Sat at an empty table in a macdonalds used the qr code on the table came up with the table number and restaurant. Good so far. Tried to order food told me no restaurants in the area tried several times same response gave up in the end went elswhere for breakfast. Absolutely useless.

Absolutely rubbish

Absolutely rubbish. McDonald's App, Bromborough restaurant and Uber Eats are all in it together to rip people off! As is mostly the case with MacDonald's, they are a faceless company using franchises as a front. You order from them, they give you what they want from that order and then basically tell you to f-off if you have an issue. Deal with it. So I will not be ordering from this restaurant, franchise, company or delivery platform again and would even go out of my way to tell people how utterly crap this experience has been. I woke up calm and happy, now I want to fight everyone, all because some idiot couldn't read what was on a screen and put it in a bag! Anger issues maybe, but this is my outlet!

Absolutely awful app

Absolutely awful app, it lags your phone as if it’s a virus and it’s impossible to get any help, a mouldy cheese sandwich Is more effective than the deliberately difficult virtual assistant.
I’d be embarrassed if I created that mess.

Will change address automatically change try to call the driver to cancel order he don’t even understand English (no offence) then he ignored me and delivered it anyway no help from customer services or no uber number I want to somehow make them pay put they are so bad at communicating

The app is appalling I put building…

The app is appalling I put building details in but it promptly deleted it, it said my phone number was wrong when I tried to contact the driver.
The uber driver took a picture of some of my delivery in tact by the time it got to me it was a wet mess and part of the order missing he had obviously dropped it! I can’t complain or get a refund as I didn’t receive the receipt from McDonald’s. Overall your better off using the likes of uber etc. direct as at least you can get a refund snd an app the woks properly. Very dissatisfying
