Maxback made my experience easy

Maxback made my experience easy. I was able to sell my old iphone here. The transaction was fast. I waited a few days for the credit on my paypal account to appear. If given a chance, I will still sell my old gadgets here in the future. They are super professional.

Speedy and Efficient

The transaction went very well and quite efficient. Please make sure you pack your item well. I sent them a pristine cellphone and it somehow was cracked during shipping. Everything done online without verbally speaking to anyone. Speedy and efficient. I was impressed. These folks know what they are doing PLUS offered me the most money for my phone ... Thus the name ... Maxback!

I lost my iPhone so bought a new one

I lost my iPhone so bought a new one. A short time later my old phone was found. Max back made it very easy to sell this phone with a minimum of effort. To me, the best place to sell old devices.

Last time I use them. Two straight phones I've sent they've lied about the condition and reduced my payout. Enough is enough of their bait and switch policies.

Under normal conditions...

Under normal conditions MaxBack would probably be absolutely stellar. Unfortunately I sent my device in right before COVID-19 affected their pursuit of doing business. I heard nothing for over a week after sending my device to them (which was in pretty much perfect condition, plus I included the original box). I checked the tracking and the package had been delivered “to the front desk” but I had no acknowledgment from MaxBack. I emailed them to see if they had the package since my account still said they were waiting for the shipment. That’s when I saw a pop up for a $5 Promo Code (HIFIVE) to use with my first sale to them. I had not seen the code before preparing my device for them and sending it to them. I went ahead and got a code. I received an email back that my shipment processing would be delayed due to the pandemic and yes - they had received my package (WHEW!!). Two weeks after that they processed my shipment and put the $$ in my PayPal account - 3 weeks after they received it. When I emailed to ask about the $5 Promo Code, the response from their CSR, Suzi, was “we cannot add a promo code... So sorry.” I chose MaxBack because I wanted to do business with a small, US company, which is what I work for. Small US businesses are the foundation of our country. BUT, customer service is critical to any business. I would have appreciated seeing a Promo Code BEFORE completing the sale and I sure would have appreciated an acknowledgment for receipt of my package. The business I work for has been affected by COVID-19 also, but we are not leaving our customers hanging.... Once again, once they were back from a COVID-19 break the sale was processed effectively.

Highly Recommend even if it seems sketchy!

I honestly wasn't sure what type of experience I would have when starting with this process of selling two phones that I had, but I was impressed by the simplicity of it all. I answered the questions in regard about the phones that I had and then was given a projected amount that I would get back. My best advice is to be honest about the state of your phone. I was honest that both of the phones weren't in great condition and I still made out with a great check!

I received less than I expected.

I received less than I expected.

When I was listing my iPad 4, I didn't see that there was any place to report engraving, but when I received my offer, there were big points deducted for this (it had previously belonged to an organization). Also, what they deemed as "deep scratches" on the screen would seem to a reasonable person purchasing used-condition to be more like light/normal wear. In no way did the scratches affect the usability of the device or its screen. I declined their offer and asked for the iPad back, which arrived quickly and safely.

As far as my iPhone 6s, it did have a problem with light-leaks in the LCD, so it was fair for them to knock down the offer considerably, as I was expecting this to be an issue.

All told, I would use them again, but prepare yourself for a more stringent review policy than the few questions they ask when you're submitting your item for a quote.
