Luxury pricing, shoddy quality.
Sadly same experience as everyone else.
The fastening isn’t secure.
Had mine repaired twice; the third time they replaced the whole earring.
Last time it fell out of its own accord thanks to shoddy fastening and it literally fell down the drain.
Maria Tash kindly offered a ten per cent reduction on another 300 pound earring after my last 300 quid is literally down the drain.
Stay well away guys. If you wanna replace your jewellery every six months, shop on Etsy.
Maria Tash are just expensive cowboys.
EDIT
Thanks for reply. I never ;lost the frontal part of the earring. Check your records again and come back to me.

Poor quality stud fixing design and manufacture - stay away
I wished I had read this review before being sucked in by the glossy marketing. The fixing for the Tash Rook Emerald and Diamond Flower Threaded Stud Earring is inferior. The piece fell out whilst sleeping and could not be found - I was left with just a post. This earring had only been taken out / put back by qualified MT piercers prior to this occurrence. I went to MT because of the advertised “secure fixing” etc.
I’ve given MT an opportunity to rectify this poor design and poorly manufactured earring (as opposed to posting on open platforms how dire this $600 piece is). They declined and came back with the bog standard “go to your insurance”. So, I would like other potential customers to be fully informed before making their purchase.
Do not purchase the expensive studs. They are insecure and you will be utterly disappointed when spending hundreds / thousands of dollars when it simply falls out.
The customer service experience is also sadly lacking.
I’m genuinely shocked at some of these…
I’m genuinely shocked at some of these reviews! I’ve had 8 piercings at MT Liberty and purchased, in total, 14 pieces of their jewellery, the rest of which I chose to pay to have inserted into previous piercings. It’s usually busy in there, but that’s to be expected when visiting a store that has a worldwide reputation in a city that is more of then than not, busy! The customer service I’ve received has always been excellent and it’s a nice touch when stylists recognise you and ask for updates on your curated ear when you visit. I receive the same support when buying one of their basic gold pieces, one of the more premium stoned pieces or even just having a piece of jewellery relocated - I’ve never been made to feel uncomfortable and have always left the store feeling happy (hence why I keep going back)! The piercers are all brilliant and although it can be disappointing when they advise against a piercing you’ve got in mind, the fact that they will always do an anatomy check (even if you don’t end up getting pierced), means you end up with the best experience and outcome. I’d rather be advised not to go through with a piercing if it’s going to be difficult to heal which has meant that I’ve ended up with piercings I wouldn’t have previously considered, but now love! The jewellery that I’ve chosen has all been excellent quality and the aftercare is always 5*, I’ve only ever had one stud come out, and that was from a piercing I’ve had trouble healing (awkward forward helix) and so when I went back into the store for my next piercing, they helped with checking the sizing and made sure it was secure. I will continue to visit Maria Tash until I’ve completed my ears and can’t fault any of the service I’ve been given. See you all soon!

The worst piercing experience
Went to get my ear pierced & the experience was mediocre. No help or advice in choosing the most suitable piece, most of the piercing jewellery was out of stock which was not indicated on the website. Piercer was sarcastic & quite rude when I asked how painful it might be. The jewellery is overpriced & basic, you can easily find similar or better stuff elsewhere at more reasonable prices. I have since visited another well known shop for more piercings & am much happier with the process & the jewellery. I will never use Maria Tash again & only wish I had checked these reviews before going there. Do your research guys, check reviews!

I had a bad experience dealing with the customer service
I had a bad experience dealing with Maria Tash. Lost a very expensive nose piercing once after a few months of buying it, and luckily saw it on time. Went to their shop and they fixed it. I asked if it might happen again and without much interest, the piercing person replied no. Then less than a year about purchase, I lose the diamond part again but did not see it on time. I reached out to them but they did not care. Never again buying such expensive jewelry with low quality.

Absolutely abysmal…
This company is absolutely abysmal don't bother wasting your 100's of pounds. I was in process of curating my ear with all the stunning Indian inspired designs Maria Tash had to offer. One of my threaded studs fell out which is ridiculous. I never removed it/played with it whilst it was in but whatever. I was just desperate to replace it. Which I planned to do weekend just gone. When I returned to replace my lost earring and continue with my ear curation- worst thing ever. All the Indian inspired jewelry has been discontinued!! (they were literally on sale 2 weeks ago!) No warning or anything. You'd think that the Maria Tash team would send out an Email of warning for pieces they wish to discontinue. Especially if you have saved the pieces in your wish list on your MT account!
I wanted to replace one earring which fell out (the Ajna yellow gold pearl as it was gifted to me by someone very, very dear to me) and purchase 3 other threaded studs. Now I'm left with an empty space in my left in my left ear, and both ears not even close to being finished. I cant even choose other MT designs to complete my ears because they just don't match with the theme I was going for. Unfortunately MT tends now tends to now focus on generic unoriginal designs such as flowers and stars etc now. Which just isn't my style and would totally clash with my ear (start of) curation. Contacted customer services and what a waste of time that was, they tried to get me to buy a diamond treaded stud! Is that a joke? Totally nothing like the Ajna.
I now have to start again with a different brand for the continuity of the Indian styled theme, luckily one of the sales assistants in store recommended Sacred Gold in London which I had a look at and fell in love with all the beautiful BVLA Indian style earrings! Deeply disappointed with MT but glad I can finish my ears curation with a different brand.

Non-existent Customer Service
I made an order in late December 2022 for 2 items of which said company sent the incorrect product on early January (not the first time either for incorrect deliveries). Online customer service would deliberately ignore my emails requesting an exchange and this has dragged on for more than 2 weeks. So disappointed in this lack of professionalism

Expensive for NOTHING
Expensive for NOTHING! I went to get my ears pierced two and half months ago, 2 weeks back, my piecing fell while sleeping, couldn’t find the other end, the piecer mentioned to make sure to screw back the ends from time to time - useful information had I received it earlier, she said I would need to buy another piece of jewelry (never again from you guys). Very bad customer service, disappointing, not reliable. NOT RECOMMENDED.

1.5 mm forward helix stud-white gold
I love my forward helix diamond stud (1.5mm). It was the perfect size. I am concerned with some of the reviews and hope the product stays consistent. This is not an earring I every plan on taking out. I look forward to another purchase. I gave four stars because I received it today and have no idea what the future holds. If it remains steadfast I will save up for another one.

I have 2 MT piercings in my ear
I have 2 MT piercings in my ear. Both were put on at the Store, by the piercer, upon purchase in January. The piercing I have in my tragus (floating pear diamond threaded charm earring) has randomly fallen out 3 times. Luckily, once was while sleeping and found it among my sheets. The second time I was lucky to find it on the floor (the stud is gorgeous and shone off the black tile). I never manipulate my piercings, or touch my ear. They have fallen off due to natural use. I am extremely upset, especially considering the price and promised quality. Now, it is the third time it fell out and unfortunately is lost to me. Only the back of the piercing is still on my ear.

Worst Experience Purchasing Jewelry
Honestly, I cannot believe what I am reading. My experience with this company has been so terrible that I will NEVER shop here again. I thought that maybe I was the only one with this experience until I decided to Google the reviews. Without going into too much detail this has been my experience: Upon receiving my earring in the mail, I could not get the back to stay on. After contacting the company and sending photos they finally agreed to send a smaller replacement back. Fast forward a month, or so, and while I was in the shower the replacement back must have come off of the earring. The earring back ended up going down the drain. When the earring fell on my shower floor the diamond came out of the stud. Luckily enough, I saw it in time and was able to save the stud and the diamond. I called the company and they agreed to do a repair. Fast forward about 3 months and I just received my earring back in the mail. I was required to pay for shipping and the replacement earring back. I believe that the earring back was $35 and shipping was at least $20 in total. Just do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

Prepare to lose your earrings
I hate to write this, as I love Maria Tash's design, look and styling of earrings. However, after using Maria Tash for +7 years, and spending over $4,000 on their jewelry, I am done. Their quality has been inconsistent, with jewelry falling out randomly (and I only allow professionals put my earrings in non-lobe piercings). I've lost $700 worth of threaded studs that should have never fallen out. I dont play with, or touch my piercings. These fell out due to natural wear, putting on hats and clothing.
I've had BVLA studs that have been in my ears for 9 years and had no issues, and none of them ever fell out.
My piercer always warned me of Maria Tash's quality control issues and challenging back threading, and I never listened. Boy, do I feel the hubris.
After this last jewelry loss, I am sad to say, I was a fool and I am no longer supporting, or purchasing from them. Absolutely sad. Maria, please improve your quality and reputation in the piercing community. Your designs are iconic.

Rubbish quality
I bought an ‘18k gold’ earring from Maria Tash for almost £500 and in less than a year it is tarnished. Terrible cheap quality - avoid!

I’m utterly shocked
I’m utterly shocked. I bought a 14k black gold hoop for my son as an ultra special treat. After a week we noticed the black had worn off in places. I’ve been in contact with Maria Tash, and sent photos. They will make a decision on refund or replacement (I’m not interested in replacement) when they receive the item back. They are communicative but considering the cost of the hoop, the absolute waste of time and money it is, and the fact that my son’s piercing became gunky whilst wearing it, and is now fine once removed, I think they should have just refunded and dealt with the rest after. I would absolutely never trust their jewellery again, nor them.
*update..I am still trying to return these items (05/10) as the DHL label will not scan at any drop off point. Maria Tash repeatedly thank me for my patience.
*08/11 I’ve finally received a full refund! 7 weeks of repeated visits to postal drop offs, and uncountable emails back and forth requesting help, showing a very obviously faulty piece of very expensive jewellery which had become unwearable after a week. It’s a shame I can’t upload a photo.

Actual piercing/piercer v good…
Actual piercing/piercer v good experience and accurate.
A number of shop staff quite rude and quite frankly snooty (I was fairly scruffy that day)! Have been shopping at liberty for 40 years and the experience with Maria Tash staff put me off going back.

Poor quality, only glued together, item wasn't what I ordered sent numerous emails but never heard a thing back. Avoid shopping here

They fall out 😩
These earrings are sold with the USP that they don’t fall out due to the triple thread but yet I have now lost 2. I’m so upset as I loved them but can’t justify replacing them as these 2 in question were not cheap. Really disappointed as my entire ear was Maria Tash as I trusted they wouldn’t fall out but now I won’t be replacing them and I will have to find other earrings.

Ordered an item online
Ordered an item online - the receipt that came with the parcel clearly stated that it was returnable in store. I was turned away once I brought the item to the store, and then later denied a return when trying to do it via email, because by then it was past the deadline. Wasted my time going all the way out to the store, even though I should’ve been able to return it then, within a week of the delivery date. Completely disappointed.
