Had a new roof completed by Lomond. Sales and roofers were great with a very professional job completed sooner than expected also. We had a bit of an issue getting the scaffolding down once the job had been reviewed by a building surveyor but Lindsay had this sorted quickly and contacted us again afterwards to ensure the scaffolding had been removed. Great job done by lovely people.

We had a very pleasant experience with Lomond Improvements who did our windows and front door. The installers were great, we had no trace of them left inside the house and minimal traces outside due to them having to saw materials so that was expected. We did have to call them to get a minor issue sorted about a month after getting our windows fitted and we had that sorted in a week, it was a cosmetic issue which wasn't urgent. We will be in touch with Lomond to get our roughcasting done at a later time. Communication from the company has been excellent.

I agreed to have a quote for rough casting done when a representative from Lomond Improvements called at my door. I usually do not get involved with cold callers, but I knew there were issues with my rough casting. The lady at the door was very pleasant, not pushy at all. Following her visit I had a phone call to arrange the visit the following day. The young man who arrived on time was very pleasant, and was very informative about the company, the type of work they carry out, and discussing the process of assessing my property. Unfortunately my property required work to be done, and after further information I chose to have the work done. Some issues occurred in the process of completing the sale and I have to commend the representative Lewis who was extremely helpful, supportive, never making me feel pressured, and went out of his way to make sure I was alright. The surveyor is coming and I am looking forward to having the work done, feeling confident having this company work on my property. I have to finish this review by saying in my opinion Kevin is an asset to the Lomond Improvements company.

I've had a mixed experience with Lomond.
The gentleman that came out to price up the new roof was brilliant, and the fitters did a great job as the roof looks great.
However, the communication before, during, and after the work being completed was poor and the abysmal after sales service really soured the whole experience for me.
Having spent a five figure sum on a new roof and guttering I would have expected better after sales care. It took several phone calls to get the scaffolding taken down and removed from my property, and I had what was a very minor issue with the new gutter leaking that took Lomond three months to even send someone out to look at.
At one point they straight up lied and told me someone had been out to inspect the faulty work.
At this point they haven't even bothered to contact me to see if I'm happy with the resolution. Pretty standard for them to be honest.
If you choose Lomond to carry out work on your property you will get a good end product, but I honestly wouldn't use them again given my overall experience.

Absolutely outstanding work once again from the Lomond team. Had a pleasant experience when I had my roof done 3 years ago and contacted them again about my roughcasting, got it done last week and everything went as smoothly as it did the first time. Pleasant young boy came round and issued me a quote which I was happy with - no hard sell, work was done within 6 weeks like they informed me while keeping me up to date every step of the way, and the roofers were very quick to tidy up after themselves. Another 5 star review, will continue to recommend Lomond to everyone.

POOR CUSTOMER CARE
I saw the advertisement on face book, lomond inprovements, offering a good discount off, a new kitchen, i clicked on to have a look, filled in some details, and not 5 minutes after it, i get a call to ask if i would like some one to come out and speak to me, i agreed as i wasnt really looking to get a kitchen straight away, it was to give me a rough guide to what price i would be looking at.
The very next day 25th july Ryan from lomond homes inprovement came to my house, a nice lad took time with me, explaining every thing no pressure whats so ever, long story short i agreed to getting a new kitchen, i spoke to my son, later on in the day, and told him about getting a new kitchen, he went on to the review page, and rang me back, very bàd reviews about this company, i decided to contact Ryan and cancel, he said no problem he would get in contact with the company and let them know, i had a change of heart as i wasnt so keen or trusted a company with bad reviews, i did not hear any thing from lomond inprovements, i contacted Ryan again, and said can i have my deposit back, no problem, he would speak to some one when he went to the office, i was then told it should of been in an e-mail, i did not know this, as there had been no contact from them, i then was told, some one would have to come out for me to sign paper work, to say i no longer wanted a new kitchen, Joe came out, paper work was signed, he then tried to talk me into going ahead with the kitchen, i had made my mind up, this just wasnt the company i wanted to go with, Joe left my house saying the deposit money would be in my bank acc, in the next couple of days, and guess what still no money in my bank acc from lomond home improvements, i rang Joe this afternoon, and another excuse as to why my money wasnt put in, i have to wait another 3-5 days, and to be honest im not holding my breath to get it, customer care is shocking, they have lost a customer, because when i do want to get a new kitchen, these will be the last people i will contact
I have never wrote a review, or complained about any thing but i just felt i had to say something, how many other customers will get this treatment, in my book your customer should always comes first, its all to do with trust to build a good repore with not just one customer, but them all Mrs D Farrell

I had a member of the Lomond Improvements team round to give me a quote on my roof. The service I received was excellent from start to finish and very well explained throughout. The rep was extremely polite and there was no pushiness unlike I have seen in other reviews. Really looking forward to getting the work done.

So was thinking about roughcasting my property for the last year or so, but hadn't had the chance to get anyone around to give me a quote, when one of thier door to door canvassers gave me a knock. They explained the process at the door, some one else would pop around and do the measurements.

The rep that popped around was friendly and very knowledgable about the products and company and answered all the questions I had. The appointment was very informative and there's was no hard sales or pushiness. At the end, I was very happy with the price and decided to go ahead with the work.

From start to finish, I was kept up to date of what was happening and the workmen were, friendly and tidy. Work was done promptly and I couldn't be happier with the end result.

After sales was spot on, Peter was an absolute pleasure to deal with, he came out and made sure everything was okay and we were Competely happy before he signed the job off. Scaffolding was down the next day and skip was dealt with promptly.

10/10 and I would highly recommend this company. Will be back in touch about my roof when I get around to it!

I'm not usually one to leave reviews but I felt compelled after my recent experience with Lomond
We knew that the roof needed replaced but were a bit apprehensive after hearing horror stories from friends and neighbours so thought a larger company was the safer option and thank god we were right.
The installation process was very efficient, we were very impressed with the guys who were done in just 3 days. I'm also the kind of person who needs to know exactly what's happening at any given moment so Lyndsey in the office was a great help!
All in all well done guys thanks for your help

*EDIT*
As expected, Lomond Improvements tried unsuccessfully to have my review removed by Trustpilot. Other reviewers have said the same, so it makes me wonder how many they have actually succeeded in taking down. Take their 4 star rating with a pinch of salt.

It may also benefit people to know that this is the only site you can review Lomond on, presumably because they feel they can manipulate it. No review option on their Facebook site and they have tried to erase their Yell profile (9 reviews, average 2 stars, all the same issues that are flagged here) by changing the name to an unrelated company then deleting the profile altogether.

One last thing. What Lomond Improvements do can be classed as Aggressive Selling in Scotland. If you are here because you have been pressured to sign something you have rights that can include a refund and compensation. Type 'Aggressive Selling Citizens Advice' into Google for the relevant citizens advice page. And report to Trading Standards.

REVIEW

I had an offer of a quote on a new roof which would be valid for 18 months from two guys who were obviously following the trail of council houses that have just had their roofs replaced. They implied that they had been the ones doing that work (though just vague enough to be deniable, naturally). This wasn't true of course.

The first alarm bell rang when a lady called to confirm the appointment and said they needed my wife to be present as well as myself. A bit odd for just getting a quote I thought, but I didn't think too much of it at the time.

A salesman (I believe he said he was from marketing) arrived at the appointed time and asked to come inside. Already having an inkling of what his game was, I refused and we sat outside instead. Realisation dawned almost immediately as he spent the first ten minutes asking questions about me, my family, the area in an incredibly obvious preamble to a hard sell. We then sat there for an hour while he went through his pitch, asking very leading yes or no questions and using language such as 'we will be doing this and that' despite me making it clear that this was purely speculative and I wouldn't be buying anything today.

He looked a bit put out to find my wife wasn't actually with us and had to call head office to tell them, which was a bit creepy to be honest. I guess the intent is to play the two off against each other? I don't know. He was also determined to get into my house, asking to use the loo, wanting into the loft etc. I refused. He also wanted my WiFi password, again refused.

Once he'd gone through his marketing spiel and measured the house for the 'quote' (of course he decided it needed replacing immediately, but remember this is a marketing man, not a professional roofer) he went straight in for the hard sell using language that suggested I had already agreed to the work. He offered two prices, the one that was valid for 18 months (around £11,000) or another that would only be valid there and then (around £9,000) if I agreed to their very 'reasonable' request to have an advertising banner on the scaffolding. Of course, he very aggressively pushed this second option. He had a pushy response to every reason I gave for not signing up and this was when he threw back the responses to the earlier leading questions ('...but you said earlier...' 'You've already said....'). He even tried to persuade me that getting multiple quotes for a job of this size and price was unreasonable.

In the end when it was plain I had no intention of budging he dropped the amiable facade then made another very obvious 'phone call' to head office so I could hear his concern again for my roof and poor decision making. Then he left.

Needless to say, it's the next day now and I've received no quote valid for 18 months through, which was what was initially offered. Maybe it'll arrive in a few days time? I suspect not though, and even if it did I would never, ever use a company that uses the type of hard sell techniques that I witnessed yesterday. Manipulative language, leading questions designed to throw back at you later to trap the indecisive or uncertain. Meaningless jargon thrown at you at a hundred miles an hour to make them sound impressive, They don't care if you can afford it or will spiral into debt because of it, they just want a signature on the spot.

I saw through the charade very early on and could see he was using every trick he learned in marketing school. I had no intention of falling for any of it, but I can see how some more vulnerable people might, so if this review prevents that happening even once it's worth the 20 minutes I've spent writing it.

My roof may genuinely be in a bad way or it may not, but I'll get an actual roofer to make that assessment thanks. And remember- if someone's trying to persuade you not to get multiple quotes for a job, stop and ask yourself why.

Decided to completely replace the roof on our house as it was well overdue so employed the services of lomondimprovements was a bit apprehensive as its quite a big job and a lot of upheaval but this couldn't be further from the truth stevie explained the whole process from start to finish everyone evolved from the office staff to scafolders and roofers where always polite and efficient nothing was to much trouble the job was completed on time with no mess or fuss thank you all so much and I would certainly recommend Lomondimprovemets to anyone looking to enhance the look of there property the new roof has given my house a whole new look

When my roughcast was eventually started 4 weeks later, what a brilliant job these 3 guys did 2 days it took and it looks lovely. Thank you Lomond improvements.

Hi got my roof fitted last week and we’re over the moon with it , and the guys that done it never stoped , they worked really hard excellent work from them , can’t fault them one bit , thank you .

This was a good product and excellently installed.

Had a full new roof fitted last week, very happy, the team who fitted they were superb, friendly and chatty and very hard working, with teams like we had they are a true asset for your company, Please pass on our thanks to all 3, they needed access to the rear of our house through a neighbours garden, I was impressed to hear they had spoken to her, and reassured her any mess would be cleared and they did. Even more impressed when an Independant Surveyor was sent to check it was all done to satisfaction before signing off for the Guarantee, there was one cracked tile he made a call this was replaced the next day, he returned and all signed off.. this certainly gave us peace of mind. All in all we would highly recommend Lomond.

They came to my house to give me a quote, I was very clear from the beggining that I only wanted a quote as I could not afford paying for the work at this moment. By the end of their visit they were pushing me to go ahead, thank goodness I stood by my word and told them that I didn't like they way the visit was turning, but if I were a vulnerable person they could have probably convinced me to go ahead even though I could not afford.

I and my husband would highly recommend this company from the salesman no pressure Stevie and the lady on the phone keeping in touch job done professionally efficient and when they said it would be done scaffold skip took away as promised soon as job was done if you get your roof done with this professionally company you should ask for roofers Dillon Paul Ryan scafold Darren David and Martin skip Dow group John was very helpful everyone of these men were very hard workers helpful and everyone tidied up after them amazing company with amazing finish more work getting done photos to follow when house painted thank you for your amazing team from start of job till end so so pleased again thank you xxxx

I had Lomond out fitting a new roof and rough casting done amazing job there was no problems all the team was brilliant I recommend Lomond to other people great work guys.

Great overall experience with this company, from order to completion no issues, straight forward, affordable and job done right, what more do you need. We got full roughcast, windows and doors replaced, looks fabulous.
