Scam locksmith, do not use at all!
Echoing other reviews, this scammer of a locksmith charged me £615 for a lock change, labour and new set of keys after quoting something under £200 for call-out and labour. I was locked out of my flat but do not believe this justified him drilling my lock open. After investigating his ‘website’ and authentication, you can tell there is none, and he is well known in my city by other locksmith to be ruining people’s everyday lives like this.
Attempting to get a chargeback or take him to court, otherwise I’d say we all rally together, drain him dry and run him out.
Total scam
Total scam, do not use this company. £300 for a 5 minute job replacing the a lock like for like. Told and hour, it took 2 hours and the guy was pretty rude. Do not use this company.
Do not ever use this company!!
Do not ever use this company!!! They quoted me £49 over the phone then when he turned up 20 mins late he quote me £524. Another locksmith turned up by accident and said- be careful, that company is renowned for scamming people and overcharging. And that’s exactly what they had done. He then tried to get me to pay the £49 call-out fee that I was never made aware of and the other locksmith opened my door with a bit of plastic for free. Total scammers
Locksmith4u are total scum!!!!
Locksmith4u are total scum!!!!
I live in a tenement block and the lock on the stair door needed fixed. For security reasons I went on the internet and locksmiths4u came up.
I phoned them and explained the job. They quoted me £250.00, I was told by a neighbour that that was the going rate for a locksmith to come out.
The guy came in an unmarked car about half an hour later, I never thought anything of it at the time but thought I should check the reviews on their website. They seemed positive so I was fine for them to do job.
They came the following day and said it would now cost £360.00, to do with tax and call out fees.
They did the job in record time but then started to pay me compliments, I know now they were trying to butter me up as they say.
They then charged me £720.00 which I paid by credit. It all happened really fast and I did not have time to think.
It was about half an hour later that we noticed.
A/. It was the wrong snib
B. It was not wired up to the intercom
C. They had not changed the yale or brought keys so nobody could get into the stair.
They locked us out!!!!!
We then had to get another lock smith to do a professional job
We reported them to the police but they could not do anything. Because I paid these cowboys with credit their will be a chance that I will get my money back but please please please do not use this company locksmiths4u because they are just a bunch of lying, cheating robbing cowboys!
They do not deserve one star! No stars if I had the choice 😡
CAUTION: STAY AWAY FROM THEM
Thanks and good luck X

Do not use this company. Locked out of rented flat I am in the process of moving out of and was panicked as also car keys were in there so completely stranded. Called first number that came up on google, was very polite and said they could be there in 25 minutes. I asked about cost and payment. Was told the call out charge would be £75 and they take any form of payment.
Arrived within the timeframe, had to change the lock, was there for roughly 10 minutes and the final bill was £860!! I was astounded and asked how this could be, he ran through costs very quickly. I had no choice but to pay this. Received an invoice and the costs are absolutely horrendous, looking to report to Trading Standards.
I was left so upset by this whole experience, money I do not have which had to go on a credit card. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Very expensive
Broke my key on Sunday midnight, called this company told me there was a £125 callout charge, then charged me another £367 to slide a piece of plastic in the door to shimmy the lock open and get me into my flat. He was here for all of three minutes. The charge of £492 seemed very excessive to me. Try someone else.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam
Called out as it was the first number on Google I could find. Price kept lowering as I was in tears as I had a rough day. Call out charge was 120+VAT, then the labour charge. Sounded like it would be £600+ at first, then lowered to £450 total, just for him to shove a card in the door. Do not use.
Complete rip off
Complete rip off. Price changed from £65 to £195. Then was suddenly £380 and for the grand finale ended up £540. (Would have been more but decided to throw in the lock in price when advised had no more money) My sister and I were left upset and felt robbed! Merry Christmas.... you have left a family without for Xmas. We hope you are proud of yourselves
Do not use company rip off
Called to come out and look at a broken lock. After two minutes we were advised cost would be around £750 as he would have to drill parts of door to get it unlocked. Had to pay the call out charge
Left us with no handle and holes in door letting draft in where handle should have been
Emailed company to complain. No reply as yet
Different locksmith came following day cost £250. No call out charge
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Exploitation on legs
locked out called and asked for cost but told could not give price till assessed job. When came said needed to drill out old lock cost would be £240. This was high but was after shops were shut so agreed. Drill out out lock...damage to door..needed new lock so man said cost was now £560. Did not take lock out of a box. No idea of make. After fitting said cost was now £660 with the tax. Feel costs are totally exploitative compared with other companies. Advice: keep the phone number of a reputable locksmith. on you in the event of ever being locked out. DON"T use this company

Well key in the lock wouldn’t turn
Well key in the lock wouldn’t turn, after the guy had started fitting temporary lock he said it will cost us £450. I had a fit and said it was far too much. He threatened to leave with our door in pieces so he then said £350. And told mover inflated prices of the lock ect He went away and said he will come back in a few days with a proper locking mechanism but he took away our door mechanisms can only assume that was so we couldn’t get someone else in. Turned up today and fitted lock and gave me invoice for insurance with £50 call out fee on, and in the name of National locks LTD rang company and complained but don’t hold out any hope as looks like they are rouge traders.

BE AWARE you do not need any…
BE AWARE you do not need any qualifications to call yourself a LOCKSMITH in the UK. I can say I am a locksmith, butcher your door to get you in, put drill hole through the handle, break the door. I can turn up at your house not speaking English very well in an old car unmarked and call myself Patrick.
I can then be evasive when asked where is your company based “what do you want to know that for”
I can then tell you, you need a new door
This is the experience you get with this company AVOID AT ALL COSTS, USE A PROPER LOCKSMITH and save money

I was quoted £ 59.00 + VAT for what they said was a "simple job". I was locked out of my flat and after less than 10 min the locksmith opened my door. He then proceeded to give me an invoice of £ 177 stating that labour cost was not included in the call out fee.
No one offered me any explanation as to how the £89 labour cost was compiled in under 10 min and no one had mentioned that this was not included over the phone.
Horrible company do not use!!!!!!!!
Avoid it all costs
Awful service. Charged £210 to replace a key and then took two days to do the job. Key ended up breaking less than a month later, they wouldn’t take responsibility. So I’ve had to pay my dealership to do it again. Avoid it all costs.
