I purchased a pair of king bed sheets…
I purchased a pair of king bed sheets recently.
They were so large that they would only fit on a California king bed I imagine. The pillowcases could fit two standard pillows inside them.
Would I object to is having to pay to send them back.

I find it shameful that a company that still advertises itself as an iconic American brand outsources all of its products. I am trying to get into a pair of khaki pants. They were made in Vietnam. There is absolutely no room between the waistline and the lap area. I can barely get into them and walking is very uncomfortable. I have another pair that were made in India and these are somewhat better. There is more stretch to them and more space. I don't like going to a trusted American company that is really not American.
Credit Card experience is insulting
Have been a Bean customer for almost 50 years. I applied for the credit card to benefit from specials and returns - TURNED DOWN. Citi could not give me a reason. Referred me to Experian. Experian said credit perfect - 820 score, many credit cards, never a late payment. NEVER turned down for any credit including big loans. This is not the LL Bean of my youth. Can live without them.
There are posers pretending to be LL Bean
Ran across something that showed Teva sandals for $12, and other things on sale. If I just ordered the sandals the shipping was 18 dollars so I ordered a couple of more things totaling $55. Turns out the website was a scam posing to be LL Bean.
A few months ago I ordered off of the LL Bean website things that were on sale and received them in fantastic condition.

I placed an order and didn't check to see what address I was sending it to. I sent it to the wrong address. LLBean sent a replacement order at no charge. Great customer service!! This was my error and they happily helped me to correct it.
Bad Boots
I bought boots for a Christmas present. After 5 years, the rubber started deteriorating and leaking. Item 290489. Made in Vietnam.
After jumping through hoops, taking pictures of the tag and damage, they did not honor my return. They couldn't find my name and zip code.

I really hate to complain because I always loved L.L. Bean and our family has always done business with them. But the thing that annoys the heck out of me is before they even ring me up they say would you like a bag. Then charge me five cents. Now I’ve always shopped at L.L. Bean. They have never given me a plastic bag years ago. It was always a paper bag so now why are they charging you? It doesn’t make sense. I went and bought two pairs of shorts for $115 and they asked me if I want a bag and charge me a nickel that’s really low L.L. Bean especially since you never used plastic bags.

Used to buy Polo clothing for myself. Their quality deteriorated so much in the last few years. I contacted Polo customer service and they were just as bad. I switched to LL Bean and I'm very impressed. Quality is great, colors styles are up to date, and the odd time when there is an issue, customer service is responsive and finds a positive solution. I liked the customer service rep with whom I spoke today. Very nice and understanding; however, two of the 100% cotton elbow length T-shirts have gotten pinholes all over them. It didn’t just happen to one shirt. Out of the four I purchased it has happened to two of them. After only a couple of washes, I had 10 pin holes in the back of one of the shirts, and on the other shirt, I had one in the front and one on the back. The other two are OK but I will never order from L.L. Bean again. I love them but not what I received. These shirts came from Cambodia and I’m afraid to order again.
Lee Anne is awesome
An error was made on my order… I ordered these 3 totes for 3 children going on vacation to fill with vacation goodies. One of them arrived with no monogram and the bag was now on back order for months. I didn’t know what to do. Lee Anne was the kind voice I needed to hear. She hustled for me, found the item from a brick and mortar store and had them personalize and ship to me asap. She saved the day!

I paid extra for expedited delivery, June 3rd. Did not arrive on the third, and not on the 4th either. I want my money back, so I contacted customer service. First I got a really bad robot, when I finally got through to a real rep, they start to ask me for information they already have. Then their system did not accept my order number, or any other input, so I had to end the chat. Very bad customer service LL Bean!

Happy customer for years and unfortunately bought their POOR QUALITY branded walking boots which wore out at the heals after a year or so.
Swung by today and they refuse to exchange because I didn't have a printed receipt and the person at the time didn't seem to put it on our phone number or profile or whatever. Further I get this insinuation I'm a slimy thief who got them at goodwill and trying to flip to get new ones - I can assure you I did not!.

We ordered a swim dress
We ordered a swim dress. We called approx 3 days ago and the lady that answered the phone in returns was very helpful as they had no record of receiving my return. She was pleasant and was trying very hard to help. She stated that we would receive a call back and email. I was most appreciative if her helping.
I called back today and spoke to Lindsey who tone of voice sounded like she did not care.
All she said is it was getting processed for a return but didn't seem to concerned that my husband and I have been customers with Bean for over 50 years. He is 73 and has been getting clothing boots shoes slipper the list goes on since he was about 19.I have to admit I was frustrated and after she supposedly hung up was still on the line and heard me ranting to my husband. I did not say anything directly to her. She did not hang up and was listening to my conversation prior to me disconnecting. Thank you
Fabricating Done n Bean Better
Whether due refusal to provide information to honor the 20% Off 1st Credit Purchase upon confirmation of L.L.Bean Citibank Mastercard, nullification of even the 10% off Email Sub 1st Order Coupon due cancelation of order--supposedly "out of stock" despite revision order currently in transit at 2 of same said merchandise less, but still including--invalidating the latter coupon, I told L.L.Bean multiple times if their chicanery continued, I would report them.
Now their hat trick for canceling my third order is just that. For a lifestyle change and PT (poorly healed spinal injury, previously unknown), clothing I can't find elsewhere and despite L.L.Bean's shabby weaving, esp buttons, a once proud now thieving and harassing flam will get the review they made for themselves. They're as dishonest and cheating as Amazon and eBay.
Classic Fit Pants/Jeans for Women
Ordered a pair of twill pants and a pair of jeans recently. Ordered in same size and fit as prior orders - they called the fit "Classic Fit". Both pairs were so small I couldn't even get them over my hips. Charged me $6.50 return shipping and did not refund my state sales tax of $7.20. Classic Fit should be called Skinny Fit in case ladies who actually have curves will know to avoid these. Very disappointed.
