Bought some games that said they were in very good condition. They came covered in mold. Listia told me I'm out of luck and have to spend my own money to send the games back which would cost more then what there ink currency is worth.

LISTIA IS THE WORST SITE I HAVE EVER USED. the rules state you are allowed 3 accounts per house hold my son who doesnt live with me opened one my daughter who doesnt live with me opened one and I opened one no where on earth would this be considered 3 accounts in one household but when I had over 5oooo points and my daughter had nearly 9500 and my son had 15000 all three accounts were suspended in the same day stating we had multiple accounts when I asked them to show me my supposed other account they brought up my son's account and my daughters account when they provided proof that they lived in other towns the accounts were reinstated but with no points. then a few months later the same thing happened.. I spent a total of over $500 shipping free items and lost the points 2x and lost the items and money ... site is a huge scam

It was a great site at one time when it was credits since it was replaced by the cryptocurrency it has gone to crap I was a member for 7yrs 100% feedback and left told them to delete my account and never looked back and they slap on the wrist nasty member that disrespect you.
I really wanted to like listia
I really wanted to like listia. I bought and sold on their site for a couple of years. They favor the sellers who drop ship from Hong Kong and China and find excuses to take your credits without giving you merchandise. In other words, they are thieves. After making 2 fairly large purchases and getting nothing and then being told by listia that I was not getting my credits returned, I AM DONE.
This is the worst app ever
This is the worst app ever. I am a new member to this app never will I ever recommend this to anyone. I listed my first item and the next day they told me that both of my items were removed because I selected to ship it myself.
Recently my listia account was hacked…
Recently my listia account was hacked and all my credit were removed, not due to me. I am a 100% feedback seller on listia since 2011. There is no customer service number to call and the help desk is an auto bot that gives automated responses that never help. What if there is some kind of bug in the database or a hacker in the system? Is anyone else having this happen to them??? PLEASE help I want my credits back asap.
It was a great site
It was a great site, as soon as they introduced crypto as the currency the price of auction items where then related to 3x their initial prices based on converting to dollars.
Also it's clear half or more members have never bothered again since this.
If I owned listia I'd stop the cash grab attitude return to points no crypto, I'd only use crypto as a payment method for buying listia points and PayPal etc etc. .
I'd give the site a make over and promote It better. I'd pay for YouTube ads or have a YouTube channel but Id not use crypto to try and make fast money whilst neglecting and caring not a damn for your original customer base and their satisfaction.
It cannot work and won't work unless it's Ethereum or bitcoin as the crypto payment method in lystia in likelyhood the value will drop to the floor with the current crypto coin paynent used for the site, and I bet people still won't join back after you insulted them, they'll never forgot being forced into crypto payment and prices not relating for items to a sensible price .
Offensive Behavior
I have been a Listia member since 2012. Apparently, Listia is now largely a "bashing" forum rather than an enjoyable auction site. Listia does not honor their own policy regarding harassment and the use of hateful, inflammatory language. Listians are allowed to make false, slanderous claims as well as personal attacks against other members without any real consequences. Support tickets are useless because administrators insist on giving the same, generic resolutions to a given problem without examining the facts and supporting evidence. Listia needs to send a clear message that scammers, bullies, and other insolent individuals will not be tolerated.
I have been a seller/ buyer since…2012
I have been a seller/ buyer since 2011.. I loved it!! Now it's awful! O feedback being allowed to bid with no XNK! That's leaving seller with time lost , no credits and a relist... The Sellers from Hong Kong have turned it into a porn site... The F bomb allowed on items... really gone down... messed up a good thing....
At first looks like a good EBay alt
At first looks like a good EBay alt. But as you dig deeper there no real way to pull out cash even with cryo it still won't work. Even worse that keep inflating the cyro so it worthless from 11cents to .3 cents so if have any you have to use asap which makes higher inflation more coin pushing to few goods.
Listia Is Horrible!
The site use to be good and fun with the credit system but ever since they went to a worthless crypto the site sucks! The crypto is so volatile that the day you list your item you could profit a few dollars (XNK) but by the time the auction ends you end up paying out of pocket to sell your things! Crypto has no place in auctions and they should go back to credits ASAP or the site will end up going out of business. If I have to pay to sell my things, I might as well start donating it to goodwill! Listia sucks!

Is is awful nothing good on there angmore ,gift cards make it impossible to get what your item is worth amd the new currency is a joke !!!!
AVOID LISTIA
Do not even think about joining Listia, I no longer had access to my old account and I created a new one, it took them a MONTH to ban my account. I got banned because of ''multiple accounts''!
GARBAGE WEBSITE
WILL BAN YOU FOR MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
AVOID LISTIA AT ALL COSTS!!!
was on Listia for 6 yrs and it was fun
was on Listia for 6 yrs and it was fun, but they changed ti to crypto currency which is worthless. I am unable to buy from another seller for I don't know what reason.
too bad I really like the site. leaving the site ASAP
LISTIA USED TO BE FUN, NOW ITS A 'STAY AWAY' SITE!
Have to TOTALLY agree w/Cole's version of 'ugh' on Lisita...USED to be fun and lots of stuff was won w/credits...moderators are biased and lazy..now there is NO CREDITS but crypto$...suks….I left when the new $ come in....they cut me off on the auto-postage, which left me having to make trips to post office. not right....I gave all my remainder credits away for free...USED TO BE A GREAT SITE TO TRADE YOUR 'STILL HAS LIFE' ITEMS AND WIN A FEW NEW ITEMS...now it just plainly SUKS!!!
has gone totally downhill
i had a really good time all things considered, for a couple years, on listia until they went to the xnk cryptocurrency...users are having a difficult time trying to figure out what amounts to sell things for, how to "cash out", and trying to figure out the xnks values..many old sellers have left bc you may as well be getting real money for the amount of "difficulty" you have to go thru just to figure out their "money"..also, listia allows people to win auctions without having the xnk to pay, and you can NOT leave negative feedback if people dont pay you..actually a seller cant leave negative at all, unless someone does it to them first..there really is no honest way to tell whos really "bad" there and who isnt, especially with new people..
anddd the support system kinda sucks too..if you even get an answer, its pretty obvious the mods really dont read the reports..and sometimes even if they do, they go against their own policies..i had one guy flat out tell me he just didnt want something after winning, which is against policy unless the seller does something wrong (i hadnt) and the mod still wanted me to mail it despite what the winner had said..he was insistent i mail something someone didnt want? while all of us messaged back and forth it was obvious he wasnt reading and i ended up refunding just to get it over with, which i shouldnt have had to do according to their policy..AND the "winner" was able to leave me negative feedback, while i could not, and i just had to "deal with it"..
if youre really serious about trying lisitia, check out their official facebook page first..it gives MONTHS of peoples comments against the "new" xnk system..and some complaints about things that havent changed over the years...
Inflation
It wasn't half bad until they started to inflate the currency and the bigger sellers left. They should take a break for a year or two and remaking or repurpose everything.
Good concept, dishonest business practices
Listia is a very good idea in concept. It deals in points rather than dollars, allowing people to exchange all kinds of items for others, some of which cannot be sold for money, such as digital movie codes, which is primarily what I use it for. While I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the system and the quality of the website, I cannot rate Listia well because of how they have chosen to manipulate the economy they have created and really screw over long time members.
Below is a record of points that can be bought at Listia per dollar since early 2015. In a very brief span of time, this number has increased by over 1500%. That is great for new members who are just getting into the system but very bad for anyone who has been in it for a while. Take a look at the numbers below.
02/11/15 - 1000/$
07/23/15 - 2750/$
08/27/15 - 4000/$
11/21/15 - 5800/$
01/15/16 - 7500/$
08/20/16 - 16700/$
What does this mean? Let's say I sold a movie for 1000 points on 2/11/15 when movies were generally going for 1000 points, or $1. If I immediately use those points to buy another movie also selling for $1, that's a nice even 1 for 1 trade. But what if I sat on those points until 8/20/26? Because new members at this point get 16700 points now for only $1, sellers, who are still interested in getting $1 worth of points for their movies will have raised prices to match the exchange rate. This means if I had sold 17 movies 2 years before for $1 in points each at that time, I would now only be able to get 1 movie today for $1 in today's points for those 17. That's a HUGE loss for people who do not immediately spend their points.
In short, because Listia is steadily increasing the points that people can get per dollar, anyone who does not immediately spend their points is guaranteed to lose out, and fast. Their points are being devalued on a daily basis. Inflation is to be expected, but the rapidity at which Listia is doing this by playing with the exchange rate, is really dishonest.
That said, I still use Listia, and it is good for some purposes, but I am readily aware of how much I'm going to be losing over the next several months. Be sure you enter into dealings on there with this in mind.
UPDATE 5/14/2018
And just when I thought my savings were safe... Listia has just switched from a credit system to XNK, which in itself is a positive move. The problem is, they exchanged credits for XNK as if XNK was worth 14 cents. The actual market value is about 5 cents as of this writing. What does this mean? I just lost two thirds of the value of my credits. Seriously Listia?
Listia has its usefulness. However, if you use it, EXPECT for them to find new ways to rob you of whatever you earn. This has just happened too many times to do expect anything else. Use at your own risk.
