What an excellent Company to deal with. In its early days but everything is at ease and professional, enthusiastic and understanding. Dan Appiah in Sales Development such a charm, breath of fresh air, and so easy to deal with. In fact everyone is the same! Linnworks to date I have learnt allot myself from their professionalism and look forward to a long working relationship
We moved away from Linnworks - due to the price rises. Which were really high.
However, once we moved away we realised how much we preferred Linnworks. Quite frankly all the other systems I tried are no way near as good as LW.
Fortunately, i retained a good contact in Dan Appiah, and he really helped us get a good deal to retain our account.
He also showed us how we can maximise the system. We are now back with Linnworks - it is more expensive, but the system really is the best out there for the money. And it is stable!!
Massive thanks to Dan for helping us sort our account out.
The agent understood the issue and we worked out a possible fix. Was very helpful indeed
Our price went up from £12000 a year to £79000. The service and features have not improved. They also no longer dominate the market and their competitors are a lot less.
For our simple use of the software, Linnworks does a good job of making the label printing a seamless process. However, after 4 years with them on a reasonable monthly cost, they have now increased our price by 681%!!!!!! This is ridiculous!
We have been using Linnworks for over 4 years now. Out of all the features Linnworks has, we only use it to simply process our orders (Print labels, and dispatch note). We do not use the inventory capabilities, warehouse management, multichannel listing etc...
We will now be leaving Linnworks due to their ridiculous pricing structure. I would stay away from Linnworks as the pricing is unbelievable and unfeasible. You are better off going elsewhere like ourselves.
It will cost us around 10p per order to process via Linnworks. We are a business that has high volumes of orders, but very low selling prices and as a result very low margins. We simply cannot afford to pay a software 10p per order. It baffles me how Linnworks have the courage to charge this much!
My review echoes recent negative thoughts about this company and will likely be similar to future reviews. We joined Linnworks in 2015, and at the time, we felt the desktop version was good software for what we needed, and the pricing was competitive at that time too. That is until we were recently advised of a 300% increase with a short timeframe to move over from a user-based plan to an order-based one! FBA primarily handles the vast majority of our orders. We were only using Linnworks to process our seller-fulfilled orders, but Linnworks still based their vast price increase on both our FBA & Seller-Fulfilled orders, which is unjustified. In any case, most businesses can accept nominal price increases from time to time, but to inflict such a huge increase which a short notice period to decide is entirely unacceptable. So even though this has caused us a degree of disruption and inconvenience, we have moved to Selro. Extremely competitive, very user-friendly, and has all the same features we used on Linnworks but for a fraction of the price.
We are in our critical implementation phase moving over to Linnworks in the UK. We found a bug in the AMAZON import process that according to them is going to take up to a month to fix. A month on a critical function, that's crazy it's not like we are doing anything out of the ordinary.. Perhaps we were foolish to believe all the sales hype that they can work in partnership with AMAZON...

This is more than craziness. Someone must not be in right mind for doing this. After receiving the new price increase I can say I will soon be leaving Linnworks. As a customer of many years I am extremely frustrated and dissatisfied with the level of increase they deem appropriate. With my store selling so much on small margins, this price increase will completely wipe the profit from the company. I have put up with the many errors that occur throughout the year as it had been reasonable value but no longer. The actual price difference would work out roughly the same as a years salary for a full time member of staff, so for that price I might as well hire someone temporarily to spend time switching us over to a new service. Goodbye Linnworks due to a very poorly thought through business strategy. Linnworks service is so poor that, we wanted to leave long time ago, but we have stayed because we did not wanted to face the hassle of switching things. But now enough is enough.
We only stayed with them due to reasonable price, however got call today and they wants more money for their horrible service and software. We have an issue with our eBay account and they both blaming each other, as a result i need to update manually which is just waste of time. I still stayed with Linnworks just though changing over would be a hassle. But this guys thinks they are doing something amazing that need more money. Unfortunately you are NOT!
Dont remove my review. its genuine and i will send invoice to trust pilot.
We have been a customer of Linnworks since January 2015. We do not have a problem with the software. However, you cannot request a price increase of over 130% per month for the same service with only 2 weeks left on our annual subscription. With such an unjustifiable increase we chose not to attempt to negotiate. It appears to be a “we are not interested in your business” offer. It has forced us to move to an alternative provider.
I absolutely hate leaving 1 star reviews, and as a business owner have been on the receiving end of them so know they're not comfortable reading. I've used this system in my current and previous businesses for about 15 years (not long after Fedor started it) and it's been a good system for a reasonable price. Sad to say but we've just replatformed over to another provider. We had an ultimatum that just priced it out of the stratosphere, into the realms of a mid range ERP system - so we invested in a system that we'd be on long term (lost a lot of trust in Linnworks, this is the second crazy pricing change!). It's a shame as talking to the project team with the system we've gone with there are quite a few people leaving. Wish them all the best and maybe it'll make sense for them, but hand on heart couldn't advise people to use them anymore, like I have done for years.
An excellent company so easy to use, love it
I have used Linnworks for 4 years and I can say that it is one of the best platform for Ebay, Amazon, Shopify. As my company is growing we had to move to another software. Linnworks was very helpful during the migration and offered 3 months subscription at a low price.
Long term customer of 6+ years, however the platform has become heavily sales centric by an almost "thuggish" sales force where you can't rely on any stability with pricing proposals as they'll simply give notice unless you agree to new terms. Everyone accepts inflation and business needs but in our case the increases amounted to extortion from £1800 to £52000, so do your homework, I'm not sure they're what could be termed "trustworthy" as a long term business partner.
The platform itself is fine, we barely used it accept for channel integrations. Occasional bugs, support mediocre. Frankly it comes across, dare I say, as if they've become a bit bigheaded and don't seem to have realised theres so many reasonably priced alternatives without the aggressive sales available. There's better out there.
Linnworks quadrupled price for no increase in service. Poor communication from start to finish and zero justification for price increase. Linnworks gave us 1 week to find another provider and we did! Much better price and better service with more features - Literally 1/4 of the cost linnworks would now be charging us. They have zero regard for their customers and zero integrity. Avoid and keep yourself smiling!
I've been with linnworks for two years, it would have been just one year but I got tied in by the auto renew which they send no notification of.
Cons
The start up process and fee is ridiculous I have used two other similar programs and none of them charger a fee. The worst thing is you actually have to sit and watch the start-up/training. This meant I had to sit for about 24 hours over a period of about 4 weeks just watching a programer import spreadsheets why?
Similar programs can grab this info automatically for free.
Listings - I endured the start-up/training thinking it will be worth it. Thinking I would have this great system I could manage everything from but no. What I ended up with is listing in from bigcom, Etsy, eBay which I thought was great, untill a found out I couldn't actually do anything with the info. I was and still am unable to edit listing from my linnworks. I have been told to do this I need to set it up?
Training - I asked for help regarding the listing issue and was told I could book a training slot at X amount. I refused this saying I'm not paying more for a process I was told is set up in the start up fee. After a lot of back and fourth I was eventually offered free training by a member of the team, which never actually about. I went this though this whole saga a few times and never actually received the training.
System - the whole system feels and looks dated compared to others I've used. On set up we made order stages eg manufacturing, shipping etc which worked well. But it was long winded eg to add to ready to ship I would I have to click the button from manufacturing but then would have to go into ready to ship find the order and highlight ready to ship again?
Pros
Automation - Being able to send emails. These work great they automatically send the info you want eg my courier would get a list of all the orders ready to ship every day.
Stock control - this worked although it never seemed to be at the correct levels?
Wayfair - this is the reason I came to linnworks they have Wayfair integration. At the time not many similar programs did although now it's more common
Summary
linnworks has some good features but the extra price and long contract terms just aren't worth it. I've used two similar programs and both are just as capable if not better and cheaper.
Disgusting pricing tactics... Just been given an ultimatum; £2800 going up to £9000. We want to switch our main business across which would double our volume but then they would want £25000!!!!!.They tried this over two years ago and reversed their decision. They stated at the time that prices would hold for two years and then future increases would be limited to +20%.
I am no maths genius but I don't think a £6000 increase is less than 20%.
Linnworks CEO - you have not kept your word.....
Linnworks is a comprehensive and reliable eCommerce platform, which ticks all the major boxes. We use it to manage our online business from product listing to dispatch and warehousing. Support is good and employees friendly.
