Absolute SCAM!

I ordered three items, a skirt and two dresses. I received notice that the skirt and one of the dresses had been shipped. I waited eagerly, but then received a "failure to deliver notice" text that seemed very strange. The package it turned out had been delivered. A tiny box that had my name, address, and the supposed contents labelled very clearly on the outside. I opened it up to find a package of drugstore reading glasses. WTF?! Talk about a scam. I reach out to their customer service line, but obviously haven't heard anything.

Do NOT order from here.

Happy with my experiences so far!

I’ve ordered 5 dresses in total from Linennaive. They are all amongst my most favourite dresses to wear - so comfortable, nicely fitted and durable. I live in Denmark and it does take a little time for the packages to arrive but they’re worth the wait. :-)

I love this dress it's beautiful and just like it's picturedas so worried the dress wouldn't fit…

I was so worried the dress wouldn't fit me but I looked at the measurements for the size 3x and those were my measurements even though in America I'm only a size 16 so if you are a size 16 order the 3x and it should fit you I'm happy with the dress it's absolutely beautiful I ordered another one I have to wait till it's back in stock and I'm sure I'll write another good review

Three lovely dresses

In the interest of fairness, I wanted to write a longer review here (as well as on the LN website) as I and others, it seems, have been a bit spooked by the amount of negative reviews here. I can’t vouch for their return and refund services as I was happy with my purchase but from what others have posted, it seems like the process is complicated and a little slow but it seems like that area may need some improvement, so keep that in mind and shop carefully when placing an order.

I ordered three dresses from LN, both of which arrived today and I was very happy with all three. As I live in Japan, the order arrived within just days of being shipped and I was very impressed with the speed (though that may simply be because Japan is so close to China). It took some time for the orders to be dispatched (about a week) but when I emailed customer support to ask for an update, I got a very fast and polite response from Tracy. The same day, the order was dispatched.

As for the dresses, I ordered the Elowen Gown in two colours (Forest Green and Pale Pink) and the Alice dress in Green Ivy. I ordered a size S in all three based on my measurements and all three of them fit perfectly (and I’m sure they’ll fit even better once I’ve shifted these few kilos I put on over spring) and are just beautiful. I couldn’t find any defects or faults and while the material isn’t the finest linen out there, it’s still a perfectly acceptable quality (both the Pale Pink Elowen and Alice dress are much lighter, maybe some kind of linen blend? There’s no label so it’s hard to be sure). The zipper on the Forest Green dress is a bit stiff but I think that’s just on account of it being made of a heavier linen with such a tiny, slender zip! But thanks to some zipper grease, it did go in the end and is now just fine. The lace on the Elowen dresses is a sparkly and synthetic lace but it was very soft and I felt it doesn’t distract from or clash with the garment overall.

Once I was certain all three dresses fit, I put them all on a gentle wash cycle to get rid of the “workroom smell” that all new dresses inevitably have and to make sure they are colour fast. I was particularly worried about the Forest Green dress but after washing, there’s no change to its colour and even when wiping it with a wet cloth, no colour transfer.

The other thing I want to highlight is how comfortable these dresses are. I’ve bought a lot of natural fibre dresses in my time and I honestly find that their comfort is hit-and-miss. Sometimes a linen dress looks lovely but it’s somewhat uncomfortable to wear. On the other hand, all three of my dresses from LN are light and breezy and just so comfortable to wear. Never mind special occasions, I’d feel happy walking down to the shops or running daily errands in one of these dresses!

One thing I will say for my petite ladies - the length of these dresses almost touches my toes! The models on the website must be quite tall as they only come down to their ankles in photos. So based on that, my one bit of feedback to the company is, please consider making a “Petite” lineup for your popular styles! 🥹 I think us littler ladies would love it.

Zeer slechte service

I received a skirt with a broken zipper that doesn’t open or close properly, is poorly stitched, and clearly has a manufacturing defect, along with flaws in the embroidered flowers. I immediately contacted customer service. I was advised to cut threads and replace the zipper at my own expense, even though I’ve never worn the skirt! According to this company, a replacement or return is not possible — absolutely outrageous!

Not a White Cloak

Ordered a white wool cloak for my daughters wedding. It was pictured on the site as white and long enough to touch the tops of the models shoes. The cloak came and it is creamy almost yellow and fell just below my daughters knees. When we requested a return they sent us a return address in China even though the cloak came from Burnaby BC Canada. In order to ship it back using their method it would have cost $150. In reading some other reviews I see that their item is stuck at customs. Which means you are out the shipping costs and the cost of the item. I wish I would have read more reviews before I ordered the cloak. This does not seem like a reputable company, they have no trouble taking peoples hard earned money and sending them a substandard item NOT as advertised.

Complex returns process

The company is great if you're sure you will want to keep an item, be prepared that returns are not straight forward.
The dress I ordered was too big for me so I needed to return (ordered 2nd May). Be aware that you will need to pay postage for shipping back to China. The web chat function is a bit tricky to use, though I did eventually get through to request the return. The dress got stuck in Chinese customs for a long time ~1 month, and I couldn't navigate the Chinese info to find out why. I tried to go through the web chat again and never got a response. Thought I'd lost the dress money and return postage. After leaving a 1 star review on trust pilot, I got back in contact with customer service after they responded to the review. It seems they had received the dress in the meantime, 10 days after contacting via their email I received a refund to my bank account(16th July).
I have updated my review to reflect that the return was successfully completed.

Do not recommend

Well, very upset that I paid over £100 for a Chinese product. Made and sent from China. once received the linen was completely see-through, scratchy and lost of loose thread. it was packaged in a clear plastic bag and bubblewrap package. I'm very disappointed overall and do not recommend it.

Beware:Worst customer service ever!

I ordered a coat that I loved and they sent it with a delay (because those things happen right?). Well, because the coat came with a delay I wasnt at home when it arrived due to unforseen familiar circumstances. As I finally could get back home and try my new coat I noticed it was too big. I asked customer service for a change of size and they told me I was already too late. It was day 16 of their 15 day return policy. They didn't care about my particular situation and didn't feel responsible for their mistake, even though they had sent the goods too late. Besides, I didn't want a refund, I wanted an exchange. Now I have a 200€ amazing coat that I have to throw out...

EDIT: Customer service responded to this comment with only an automated reply. This shows how “great” their customer service is, that they can't even read a review and understand the point being made.

This company is absolute crap and a…

This company is absolute crap and a scam! My dress arrived and was actually very nice but was too large so I ordered a small and requested to return the medium that was too big. I have sent 5 emails and tried to chat with them for days on end with absolutely no response of any kind. They only allow returns 30 days from purchase which is almost up now and I still have no response from them so now I'm stuck with 2 dresses, one which doesn't fit. BUYER BEWARE and DO NOT do business with this company. If if could give them zero stars I would.

They sold my email to spam

My wife likes the clothing from here, though it takes months to arrive. Linennaive, however, has sold my email for spam. I use an alias that I only use with linennaive's website, and I got spam from 3rd parties to that email. That's messed up.

Overall Great

I give the company a 4 because I received the dress and it’s beautiful! They responded within 24-48 hours when I asked about sizing. The only trouble was after I ordered and paid. I didn’t hear from them about the timing other than the Shop App. Shop has it listed that the dress would take 10-25 days to get to me. I ordered May 14, 2025 and had to reach out to confirm how long it would take. I didn’t realize the company makes the dress after the order is placed. I assumed the dresses were already made and ready to ship (my fault). I’m sure it’s listed in the site somewhere and I didn’t see it. Tracy responded and gave me a timeline. I did reach back out to her one more time and she explained the dress was just finished and shipping. The shipping company had issues itself (not accurately showing where they were-not Linenaive’s fault). Overall, very nice products. I would only suggest making sure that buyers are aware that items are sewn as soon as orders are placed, and not ready to ship (once ordered).

Beautiful clothes

I have ordered from Linennaive three times now and they have been marvellous. I have two coats and a dress, all beautifully made and lovely material. My items were exactly like the photos on the website and each piece is very special. I am a seasoned shopper. If the Olympics could give a gold medal for online shopping, I’d win for my country, I have been sent many dubious things and I have a small list of shops I would avoid. Linennaive is the real deal and I will happily recommend them.

I just received the Helen 17/Vintage…

I just received the Helen 17/Vintage Wool dress and it is super nice. I would maybe recommend sizing down, but the quality is good and the design is very cute. It is lined and the zipper even has bias tape around it so it looks really finished and nicely made. It took about three weeks as stated in the order information. I am in the USA, if that helps to know. I would buy from them again. I found it affordable for what it is and I am surprised it didn’t have better reviews based on my experience and dress received, maybe they are improving. I don’t know.

Returns assistance is hopeless; many hoops to go through (return to an individual marking value as £42 instead of retail price of £350, using a precise courier but not one I can find.)
Offered a £40 refund. Absolutely pants, giving the Chinese a bad reputation.

This place freaking sucks. Not worth the headache at all. Dates are lies and they make up excuses every time. If u ask for a cancel/refund they say they will and won't actually return ur money, you will just have to dispute the charge. Super scammy I would never recommend this place
