Failing Battery in Less Than a Year - Would Not Recommend
Have had this laptop for about a year and already the battery is dying. I do not use it for work although I use it daily in some capacity. Warranty has expired and thought I was renewing it only to find out, i purchased a Smart Performance Subscription that primarily checks malware and does computer scans daily. If there is anything wrong, this does not help me. If parts or service or needed, this warranty does not help me. Disappointed that this laptop is not working well and it's only been a year. Battery will not charge higher than 47%. If I unplug the laptop, it turns off immediately. I would not recommend this laptop or Lenovo products.
They the Dodge all your concerns about…
They the Dodge all your concerns about laptop like I had a laptop that was $2,000 and it broke I sent it to warranty they never repaired it they never sent it back and now I'm taking them to every public institution that I could sue them or ask for money or claims like I don't even know what to do at this point like they really just took $2,000 out of my wallet when I have 6 months of warranty left so yeah that's crazy that's nice never buy from this company if you want to just buy from acers or razor or like any other brand even razor with their lineup is better than whatever the hell they're selling here yeah just some cheap Chinese stuff marketed as high quality even though they're all their motherboards usually crash or die within like a couple months and then you see it all over Reddit and like bro it's just crazy how they can get away with this maybe in the US
Great experience
Extremely disappointing Experience
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Lenovo Outlet and their customer service.
I originally purchased a ThinkPad X12 Detachable Gen 2 with 32 GB of RAM. Lenovo accepted my order, charge me and sent me a confirmation of the order, but after a week of back and forth with their customer service team because they wouldn't send me the tracking number of the order ther told me they could not fulfill it. What followed was a long and frustrating process in which I repeatedly tried to work with Lenovo to find a reasonable solution to a problem I did not create.
Eventually, Lenovo management approved a price-match accommodation toward a comparable replacement. I was asked to identify suitable in-stock systems, so I spent my own time monitoring Lenovo Outlet inventory and promptly sent them comparable ThinkPad X12 Gen 2 options when they became available. Unfortunately, the systems became unavailable while Lenovo went through its internal process instead of completing the accommodation.
The most frustrating part came when another suitable X12 Gen 2 became available. I immediately provided the information. This time Lenovo specifically told me that the computer had been PUT ON HOLD FOR MY ORDER and that I would receive the quote once it was finalized.
I thought the issue was finally being resolved.
Instead, after waiting several days, Lenovo came back offering me an older ThinkPad X12 Gen 1 with only 16 GB of RAM—a type of replacement I had already explained was not acceptable and was inferior to the X12 Gen 2 with 32 GB of RAM that I originally purchased.
There was no meaningful explanation of what happened to the X12 Gen 2 that I had explicitly been told was being held for my order.
To make matters worse, I then discovered a new pending Lenovo charge on my credit card for the same amount as my original purchase, despite the fact that I had not received or accepted a new quote or agreed to purchase the Gen 1 replacement they were offering.
At that point, I was finished.
The most disappointing part of this experience was not simply that Lenovo couldn't fulfill my original order. Inventory problems happen. What made this experience unacceptable was being repeatedly told that Lenovo was working toward a resolution, being told that an accommodation had been approved, being asked to identify replacement systems myself, and finally being explicitly told that a suitable computer had been placed on hold for my order—only to still end up without the computer.
I gave Lenovo multiple opportunities to make this right. I responded quickly, provided the requested information, identified suitable replacements, followed up when necessary, and waited through their internal process.
In the end, I decided I would rather purchase a computer somewhere else.
Good customer service is not about repeatedly telling a customer that you understand their frustration. It is about taking action to resolve the problem. In my experience, Lenovo provided plenty of reassuring words, but very little meaningful resolution.
After this experience, I cannot recommend Lenovo Outlet.
Ideapad laptop battery failures
Ideapad laptop failed to run on its battery after 3 months use. Battery was replaced and all was ok until July when again the battery was declared at 0% despite being on overnight charge. Assisted by a Lenovo agent the system worked ok again for two weeks and now has failed yet again and I'm beginning to suspect it isnt the battery itself at fault Tech help was confusing and achieved nothing on Day 1. Next day different tech help centre was even worse. I have on two occasions stated that the laptop is unfit for purpose as it cannot be used away from it charging cable but both times my comment was ignored but having failed three times in its first 8 month says little, if anything good, about Lenovo reliability. Either a full replacement unit or refund of purchase price is the only solution I would be satisfied with.
Lenovo clearly has little respect for its customers
I have been buying lenovo laptops for a number of years, both for myself and my wife. I think they are fine as laptops. I purchased my latest Yoga laptop about 12 months ago. The annoying mcafee bloatware has stalked me every step of the way. Even now after 12 months, it is trying to trick me to use it and to buy it. The approach is deliberately deceptive especially given that I have repeatedly refused it over the past 12 months. I should not have to spend my time learn how from youtube how to get rid of software that I never asked for. The mcafee software is particularly intrusive, deceptive and hard to get rid of. It clearly is designed not be easy to get rid of. So despite paying thousands of dollars for a quality laptop- the experience has been greatly diminished by the mcafee issue. That Lenovo has so little regard for its customers speaks volumes. Next time I'm shopping for a laptop - I will look for a brand that respects its customers more.
Unresolved S0 Standby EC Bug & Endlessly Looping Support – Never Buying Lenovo Again
I am extremely disappointed with Lenovo's customer support and quality control. I purchased an IdeaPad 1 15AMN7 (Type 82VG), and from the start, the laptop suffered from a severe power-state defect: whenever the AC charger is plugged in while the system is in S0 Standby / Modern Standby, the laptop instantly crashes with a Kernel-Power Event ID 41, causing complete data loss.
Thinking it was an isolated hardware failure, the laptop was sent to authorized service in April, where the motherboard was fully replaced. The issue persisted immediately on the new board. Furthermore, the exact same crash was reproduced on a secondary 16GB unit in the same family (82VG00VCRM / SN: MP2S7XDF), proving beyond doubt that this is a platform-wide Embedded Controller (EC) / BIOS timing race condition across the 82VG line.
Despite flashing the latest BIOS update (KSCN44WW released July 31, 2026)—which confirmed zero fixes under the Embedded Controller section—the bug remains completely unaddressed.
What makes the experience worse is Lenovo’s social media support team on X/Twitter. Case #4018425 was opened, yet agents repeatedly gave scripted deflections ("check your spam," "send it to a local service center again") while ignoring all diagnostic evidence, service repair sheets, and cross-unit test results provided to them.
Instead of continuing to act as a free QA tester for a company that ignores its own engineering flaws, I am exercising my rights under Romanian consumer law (OUG 140/2021) for a failed repair attempt to return the laptop for a full refund/store replacement and switching to another brand.
Save yourself the headache.
The sales person was rude & unhelpful
The sales person was rude, unhelpful and was unable to process a simple purchase with a credit card. He passed me to a department that couldn't help and I Had to start the process all over again. Very bad customer service.

I bought two docking stations and have been struggling for a refund for months. Escalated twice; 3 weeks passed, no seriousness. Lenovo is a good brand, but the return process is terrible, be careful.
The Ideapad 5-2 in 1 is one of the…
The Ideapad 5-2 in 1 is one of the worst laptops you can buy. The build quality is absolutely horrible, within 3 months of owning the hunk of junk, the screen tried to separate from the hinges. Not to mention the screen itself blocks the heat vent, so it is just constantly heating up the screen while in use. The trackpad is one of the worst aspects about the laptop, it started going out months into owning it. I still have the laptop under warranty, but at this point I'm probably gonna sell this piece of crap and get an acer. I am never buying another lenovo product again.
Even the high end laptops fail quickly
Bought a lenovo Legion and within 1.5y the entire thermal module failed. Third party repair guy even said this is a common issue with lenovo legions.
I called the support and they told me to pound sand and the replacement part isn't even in stock. They sell junk and now the same laptop to replace it is nearly 10000 dollars! Will never buy from lenovo. Terrible products and terrible customer service
Very poor battery life
Very standard laptop works as well as they all seem to, but appalling battery life. After first year or so it effectively becomes a desktop as the use without a power supply is limited to minutes. Presumably they make it this way through cheap components, and are not bothered once its outside warranty. Pretty poor though, as just means more cheap chinese items ending up in landfill
DO NOT BUY LENOVO I have a Lenovo…
DO NOT BUY LENOVO I have a Lenovo Ideapad 330 and it said there is a Lenovo firmware update so I completed the update and now my laptop will not boot up .I called and they said to download the recovery program which would not download it said invalid .I emailed back and they said make sure I am hardwired and I did with the same result .I emailed them back and they said call back to tech support and they would help me out and the guy wants me to pay for something they caused. IT is a well known issue on the internet that this happens I found out after I did the firmware update .
Update they did offer to repair after my BBB review but then said they cannot get the part due to its age. The part that was damaged by lenovos firmware update was the motherboard. I have found many compatible aftermarket motherboards for sale. So not only do they not take care of something they damaged they are also not truthful in saying they cannot get the part.
Legion Go Game Console
I bought a lenovo legion go game console. It ran smoothly on large games. The price is also cheaper than other consoles.
do not buy Lenovo products
Lenovo products are very good, i have used both tablets and laptops and liked them, however if you have a problem they have the worst customer services on the planet, very hard to contact them, if you do actually manage to speak to someone it isn't a pleasant experience, they lie and routinely ignore consumer rights laws, they are good products but i will never buy another lenovo product purely because their customer services and technical support is so bad.
Lenovo is the worst company to deal…
Lenovo is the worst company to deal with. I ordered a top of the line customized laptop, and productionnwas 2 weeks. Then it changed ton6 weeks. Incalled and was tikdnitnwoild be pushed uo to 4 weeks them it becamen8 weeks nd after calling again it became 6 weeks. Then at 6 weeks it became 11 weeks. I tried to cancel online and they won't let you I had to do a chat with a person who wouldn't/couldn't cancel it and transferred me to a supervisor, who asked me if I really wanted to cancel after stating so 5 times. I finally get a cancelation and they made it look like they canceled my order, at their say-so, as they couldn't fulfill my order. Good luck dealing with them
Warning - Don't buy Lenovo
Wish I had checked Trust Pilot before my purchase.
I have a Lenovo Yoga Laptop (Purchased 11/2025) - with snapdragon Processor. It is terrible I have wasted so much time - days trying to work with this constantly freezes and crashed paid the extra original for "premium support" and it is just terrible. Premium support is basically constantly being told to restart machine, factory reset and repeat they just try and wear you down until you give up. I use it for simple stuff websites/portals via chrome and some word / excel, email and PDFs no gaming or anything like that and this thing can't cope.
Don't buy Lenovo that is my simple warning to anyone thinking about it.
Useless customer service
Useless customer service. Rude management. Last Lenovo ever. The laptop locked up on me, and nobody at Lenovo can help.
Completely useless
Will not recommend purchase from this company to anyone. I bought a computer (yoga slim) from them 3 years ago, and it has been defect from the start. New problems keep appearing. I’ve sent it in for 6 (!!) repairs. Have asked to have it replaced with a new computer many times, as something apparently is wrong at the very core of this computer, but they refuse. A year ago I had to pay an expensive extended warranty to keep my repair service rights, and I thought the least they could do for me was to give it to me for free, but of course they didn’t,
The latest issue with the computer is that it stopped charging in both ports (and I’ve tried different chargers so that’s not the problem), and now it’s just dead and I can’t turn it back on.
Awful, awful company. I honestly hate them so much, and constantly having to send the computer away for repairs has affected my studies in a very negative way. I feel like they’re actually scamming people on purpose.
Ghastly service
Ghastly service. I ordered a laptop. Next day I decided I wanted a better one. So before ordering it, I put in for a return of the original laptop. The return request was accepted. I then ordered the one I wanted. Okay re the one I wanted. Ordered 7 July not delivred until 20 July. I did not realise it actually was sent from China!! I assumed there was a warehouse here.
As for the return. Once the laptop was received (I put in for the return before I got it) I then filled in the return form. Requested collection, next day. no email confirmation was sent. It was never collected. I spent from 8th July until 25th July trying to get it collected. their Indian call centre was obviously reading from a script and three separate phone calls, they all said the same thing. Promised it would be collected; would escalate it to their manager etc etc. None of this resulted in anything.
I eventually contacted Lenovo via their Facebook page. I asked for an email so I could officially complain. was told no such email existed. What was the problem. So I told her. She said she would escalate it. I thnk she must have as couple days later I got an email for me to fill out a return form. Exactly the same as first time. I did this, I ticked the collection box, I selected next day collection. Again no email confirmation, and next day (yesterday) No collection. They have had over £500 of my money for over 3 weeks. I will never evr order a Lenovo laptop from them again, even if the one I now have turns out to be brilliant. I just pray it doesn't go wrong as I hold out no hope of it ever being repaired. Lenovo customer service is the pits, in fact the worst I have ever come across. Why cannot I get to speak to someone in charge in this country? Why cannot someone take control and make sure it is collected? I have told them if I don't get it collected within a week I am putting in a charge back with my credit card company. Let's see how quickly they then arrange for it to be collected.
