A simple return turned into a nightmare. To anyone reading this, I have to be fair and honest: my experience with Lenovo has been nothing short of infuriating.
I am still owed £699 for a Lenovo Legion Go return. The customer service bordered on the criminal and was completely dishonest. Every time I called, I was told to wait another 3-5 days. It has been really upsetting for me, and I would never use this company again.
I can only suggest that you do the same, because if you just look at the reviews, they are disgusting. I am still waiting to be refunded two months after returning the item.
Bad hardware, even worse service
I bought a Lenovo Notebook, premium model about a year ago. First of all, the hardware is disappointing. It features a "lap detected" mode, meaning it detects being on your lap, and refuses to use the full CPU frequency then. This is obviously absurd, a *laptop* is meant to be used on your lap, so their entire performance numbers are just garbage.
Then, the keyboard starting failing. It started with just the left arrow key after maybe one month, and continued with all keys connected to the same trace. On this particular model, you can't even replace just the keyboard, but need to replace the entire to cover.
I then contacted "Premium Support" as this was still inside the warranty period. The responded quickly that the part had been sent to me directly and the technician would come the following Monday to perform the repairs. On that day, another mail arrived, stating that the part was currently not available. So the first mail was obviously a lie. Chatting with their support, they made ridiculous excuses such as that replacement parts were not their responsibility, but weren't able to help. The next day I received another mail, stating that the part had been shipped for pickup by a technician and that the technician would be arriving between 9am and 6pm to perform the repairs. This never happened, so they wasted a full second day of my time. No email, no phone call, just no show.
The next day I contacted their support again. At that point they had already violated their contractual service obligations. When I pointed that out and asked for a specific time and date for the repairs, they made more lame excuses how that wasn't their fault, then their service "hung up" on me. This is what you might expect from a guy which can't pay his rent maybe, not from a large company. Completely ridiculous.
At this point, all I can say is that I'm done with Lenovo. Their hardware is crap, their service is crap, do yourself a favor and buy something else.
Very bad experience - zero stars
I purchased a Yoga 7 laptop in December 24, very bad quality overall and several design flaws (the power switch is on the side and constantly turn off while I use it), The touchpad is worn down already and the power charger did not fit the slot and was so wobbly it broke of with normal usage after a year, this was not covered by warranty which of course is very convenient for Lenovo when it is so badly made. The screen constantly freezes and frequent issues with driver updates that I never experienced with my Macbook. Altogether Lenovo was a bad choice.
I will toss this piece of garbage computer in the bin very soon and buy an Apple MacBook pro, the one I have lasted 12 years and is still working a lot better than the Lenovo yoga.....nuff said.
Small Business: Avoid Lenovo.com
If you are a small business, never buy from the Lenovo.com website. If you want their laptop, but it from retail or Amazon.
I ordered a new laptop for a project and check out indicated 2 day delivery. Delivery was longer with UPS and requiring signature. UPS always attempted delivery after hours; they returned the product for no-delivery. 3 weeks later still no refund. Every time I call I am told it will be another 5-7 days to process the credit to my credit card. This is THEFT!!
Lenovo Vantage has consistently shown…
Lenovo Vantage has consistently shown the same problems for years, and Lenovo has never made a serious effort to fix them. The app constantly steals focus from full‑screen applications, interrupting games and work with intrusive pop‑ups even when notifications are disabled. It installs multiple background services without permission, slows down boot time, and forces updates that override user settings. Battery features like Rapid Charge and Conservation Mode are unreliable and often break after updates, while performance modes randomly reset themselves. The UI is slow, laggy, and bloated, and the app frequently shows misleading “overloading” warnings that don’t reflect real system usage. Despite countless user complaints, Lenovo continues to ignore these issues and push Vantage as if everything works perfectly. This app feels more like a persistent annoyance than a useful tool, and it’s clear Lenovo has never genuinely tried to address the long‑standing problems.
I use a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop and…
I use a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop and overall I’ve had a good experience with it. The build quality feels solid, the keyboard is very comfortable for long typing sessions, and it handles everyday work smoothly. It’s a practical and reliable laptop for work, browsing, and general productivity.
A Costly Mistake: My Disappointing Experience with Lenovo
Got it. Here’s the revised version without dashes and with a smooth, natural flow:
---
I genuinely regret buying a Lenovo laptop, and that is not something I say lightly, especially after spending a significant amount of hard earned money on what was supposed to be a high end machine.
From day one, the experience has been disappointing. The system is unexpectedly slow, even for basic tasks that any modern laptop should handle effortlessly. You do not expect lag, freezing, or delays when you have paid for premium specifications, but that is exactly what I have been dealing with.
What is worse is the reliability. This laptop feels unstable in ways that are hard to ignore. The keyboard randomly stops working, forcing restarts just to type again. The taskbar disappears without warning, disrupting workflow and creating unnecessary frustration. These are not minor bugs, they are fundamental usability issues that should never exist in a device at this price point.
The most frustrating part is that this is not a budget model. This is supposed to be a high end laptop. If even premium models suffer from such basic flaws, it seriously raises concerns about quality control and overall product reliability.
As someone who has been an ardent HP user for years, I decided to try something new with Lenovo, hoping for a fresh and possibly better experience. But honestly, this turned out to be a terrible decision. My older HP laptop, despite its age, still performs more reliably and smoothly than this brand new Lenovo device. That says a lot.
This experience has completely broken my trust in the brand. When you invest a substantial amount of money, you expect consistency, performance, and reliability, not daily frustration.
I would not recommend Lenovo laptops to anyone based on my experience. In fact, I would strongly advise others to think twice before considering them. For me, this experiment is over, I am going back to what works.
A Nightmare Experience: 11 Days of Delays, Broken Promises, and Blocked Cancellations
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience purchasing a Lenovo Slim 7i Aura Edition. It has been 11 days since my order, and I still have zero information regarding my product or a valid tracking number.
Despite multiple attempts to contact my assigned representative (REP ID: 2900-739-5081), I was consistently ignored and even had my name confused. After posting my situation publicly, I received only automated responses via Instagram.
A representative named 'Addie_lenovo' explicitly promised me a tracking number by the end of the day yesterday. That promise was broken. Today, when I attempted to exercise my right to cancel the order due to these extreme delays, I found the 'Cancel' button was intentionally blocked on the portal, yet they still won't provide a tracking number.
As a university student and worker, I needed this tool urgently. Now, the item shows as 'Out of Stock' on their website, leading me to believe they sold me a product they never had in hand.
I am now forced to involve my bank to dispute the charges and recover my funds. Save yourself the headache: DO NOT buy directly from Lenovo US. Their logistics and customer support are a complete failure."
Dangerous hardware and a refund process that’s a total scam
I’ve used Lenovo for years, but this is the final straw. My brand-new, high-end laptop started fizzling and burning within just two weeks of ownership. A literal fire hazard. I returned it immediately, and three weeks later, I am still fighting for my money. Lenovo repeatedly claims they have 'refund errors' and need to initiate 'manual refunds'—it’s clearly a stall tactic to keep your cash. I’ve had to open a PayPal claim just to get a response. Do not trust this company with your money or your safety.
EDIT: After opening a PayPal claim, Lenovo attempted to coerce me into closing the PayPal claim before they consider issuing the refund. Evil.
Systematic Hardware Failure & A Customer Service Masterclass in Incompetence
The Technical Failure
In December 2025, I invested in a ThinkStation P3 Tower Gen 2. Despite the "Workstation" branding, the unit suffered from persistent system freezes and required frequent hard restarts—catastrophic for a professional environment reliant on stable virtual conferencing.
The "Replacement" Loop
Lenovo acknowledged the defect and issued a replacement. The second unit exhibited the exact same hardware instability. This points to either a significant batch defect in the P3 Gen 2 line or a fundamental failure in their "certified" refurbishment and testing process.
The Service Breakdown (The "Keyboard" Incident)
The hardware issues were only eclipsed by the abysmal support. After two defective units, Lenovo reached a stalemate over a wireless keyboard dongle that was inadvertently returned with the first defective tower.
Zero Flexibility: Multiple agents refused to bridge the gap for a minor peripheral, despite the thousands of dollars spent on failing hardware.
Accountability: Supervisors were shielded from calls, and the "resolution" offered was to render a brand-new keyboard and mouse useless (e-waste) rather than simply providing a replacement dongle.
Environmental Hypocrisy: For a company that claims to prioritize sustainability, their policy of forcing functional peripherals into the trash over a proprietary dongle is shameful.
Final Verdict
As a long-time professional user, I am officially finished with the Lenovo ecosystem. I am returning to Dell, where hardware stability and basic logic in customer support still seem to exist. If you value your uptime and your sanity, look elsewhere.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I ordered a laptop and got it specced correctly, only to find out I could not perform the memory upgrade. I then managed to get a return agreement. I then waited for the email with the return labels to put on the product to post. After three emails , all ignored, I am now resorting to a formal complaint. I think this company is toooo big and no employee gives a dam

Very poor service experience.
I submitted my Lenovo charger for warranty replacement at the authorized service center in Indore on 21 March 2026. I also shared all required details via WhatsApp on 21 March 2026. However, it has been several days and I have not received any update, confirmation, or response.
I tried calling multiple times, but no one answers the phone. Even my WhatsApp messages have not been seen. There is no communication or support from the service center.
This delay is seriously affecting my work as my laptop is not usable without the charger. Such unresponsive and unprofessional service is not expected from a brand like Lenovo.
Highly disappointed.

The customer service is absolutely the worst I’ve ever experienced. Don’t bother calling, it’s useless.
Honestly the worst experience and poorly made device
Honestly the worst experience, they have let me down. I bought a BRAND NEW laptop to start a Masters program. I thought I could rely on this laptop but boy was I wrong, unfortunately there was a manufacturer defect and to do this fixed has been the biggest hassle of my life WHILE in school. They said 3-4 weeks to send it it, seriously who has that time? NOT STUDENTS. I paid extra for insurance/ warranty replacement but this is useless and doesn't even matter. I have been trying to get a technician to come out that i paid an extra $130 for. They give you an 8 hour window for when they will arrive so you have to somehow be able to work around this and be available for the entire day, again... doesn't work for students . When I was FINALLY able to to this after weeks of trying, the day they were supposed to come I waited 5 hours for them to call me and said that the parts they ordered were sent back to the sender and they can not come. This is so ridiculous, what's the point of insurance or the warranty if they wont replace the laptop? a huge waste of money and headache and I will never buy from Lenovo again
Yoga 2-in-1 Poor Quality
I bought the 16-inch (Yoga 7 2-in-1 16IML9 - Type 83DL) laptop, but the 45% NTSC screen is functionally unusable, and something like 300 nits which basically can't be seen in most environments. That level of brightness is effectively useless. The reflective screen in combination with low brightness and poor quality of the screen causes a mirror effect which makes the situation vastly worse. It's almost a scam. The fairly low resolution compounds this, as well as the low contrast, making my eyes strain under normal use. Drawing on the tablet, much less, reading is difficult and painful. The colors can not be seen well, as alluded to before, so the whole point of a tablet is moot. What is the point of this device?
Even the keyboard design allows for immediate debris jamming, which is absurd, considering that when you fold it into the tablet form, the keyboard is in contact with other surfaces. There was a tiny piece of debris of some kind that apparently must have gotten under the Enter key, causing it to not work. This is a VERY CRUCIAL KEY to use the computer! I barely was able to dislodge it by partially prying up the key, but it still feels a bit unresponsive.
Frustratingly, the poor screen quality is designed to make you HAVE TO purchase a laptop that is over double the price to get a sufficient screen. Why are there no other options? I really hate this exploitation and will never buy from Lenovo again, and warn others of this. We used to buy MANY of their Thinkpad laptops and other devices for decades, way back when it was by IBM even.
Regardless of whether it's technically stated on the product spec page, nobody is going to expect this poor quality and brightness, unless that is what Lenovo wishes to be known for. It would be a very small price to simply manufacture the laptops with decent screens instead of purposefully sabotaging them to up-sell the higher priced "premium" model. Why would I buy sabotaged products?
To top it off, Lenovo’s backend registration (SAP) is broken, throwing NUMBER_GET_NEXT errors, leaving me with a machine I can't even register for the warranty I paid for. I've tried multiple times already and simply wasted more of my life with this.
Hello Sir/Ma’am,
Hello Sir/Ma’am,
I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out to you with a lot of hope regarding my Lenovo LOQ laptop issue.
I purchased this laptop around 2 months ago with great difficulty, but unfortunately, I have been facing continuous issues since then. The keyboard has already been replaced 3 times and the motherboard once, yet the problem is still not resolved.
This situation has been extremely stressful for me and has affected me mentally as well. Despite multiple complaints and follow-ups, I am still waiting for a proper resolution.
I kindly request your help in escalating my case and providing a fair solution, preferably a replacement. It would mean a lot to me.

Thank you for your time and support.

Premium Care?
My 2026 Lenovo service experience (UK) has been terrible. I have an 18-month-old Legion Pro 7 16IRX9H that has undergone two failed onsite repairs. First, the wrong thermal paste was used during a heatsink replacement. Then, a faulty refurbished motherboard was installed alongside another new heatsink, and too much liquid metal was applied.
Neither technician knew how to correctly apply liquid metal. The first technician ended up using standard paste, and the second technician used an entire tube of LM just on the CPU.
Customer Care had already escalated the case to EMEA between the repairs (after the first failure, but before I discovered during the second visit that the first technician had not used liquid metal).
EMEA repeatedly insisted on a depot repair despite my Onsite Premium Care warranty. Since I declined this, they have now closed the case. EMEA leaned heavily on the "discretion" implied in the warranty terms and conditions, and they would not acknowledge or discuss any of the concerns I raised.
EMEA will not speak to you and they will now ignore everything you put in an email and simply respond to it with a slightly reworded version of their previous email repeating exactly the same thing.
Fantastic!
Lenovo Vantage
I have an issue with Lenovo Vantage. Every day I set the Charging to Conservation mode, but if I restart the computer without unplugging the charger it immediately switches to Rapid Charge. This is annoying, and it really is NOT what I am paying for. I am pretty sure that if I use ChatGPT and online resources I can look deep into my laptop and find what the problem is... but that's not what I am paying for.
Don't buy tech if you plan to use it for more than 3 years
I am currently typing this out on a Lenovo tablet , and I must admit it has some pretty cool features , like split screen and some other cool knacks to it but there are some major difficulties I have experienced in owning this for 2.5 years . 1. It's so glitchy and crashes constantly , sometimes I will go to type something and it won't process I'm typing for another 2 minutes and just freeze and crash , sometimes I open a new app and boom , my screen is frozen and if I try to restart the tablet it'll just glitch in and out for about 3 minutes before finally deciding to turn off.2. it's abilities to pick up internet signal is equivalent to a monkey trying to dress up as a human , when you first connect you see your thing on 4 bars and think it's great , as soon as you get onto the app you want it immediately drops to 1 bar or no bars and the app will obviously not load . My siblings with Apple do not have the same problem and the internet router is perfect.3. if your device gets hacked or crashes , trying to sign back into your device is a nightmare , for us it lasted 4 days and it kept taking us back in the same loophole of signing into Microsoft and clear data.
I would have given Lenovo zero stars…
I would have given Lenovo zero stars with regards to my customer service experience. It all started with my mistake, not putting in appartment number in one of my purchases.... The problem starts here; the representative advised me to make another order of the same product, which would allow them to delete the past order. I am doing this, then the agent tells me they can't do it themselves, they transfer me to someone else. The second agent, told me they couldn't find the purchase number and I had to wait 24-48 hours until it appears in their system, to contact them so they can delete the first order. Guess what; one hour later both orders go under status "Ship". I contact them, and they tell me once the order is shipped they cannot cancel it. I had to receive it and make a return, which was a buraucratic nightmare. Overall, a terrible experience and not purchasing again anything from them.
