They have over £1000 of my money for a subscription they took over a year ago, before saying they had no resources to provide the service "currently". They have not got back to any of my emails and no sign of any refund coming. If anyone knows how to get the money back please advise on here. I tried the solicitors regulation authority who said they couldn't help and were pretty toothless.
Very painful experience AVOID
I first contacted Lawbite in December 2022 to set up an IP agreement between myself and other parties and also to manage a claim, started off promising but to date all is still unresolved, changes in personnel, delays for all kinds of reasons including personal issues and circumstance, Clive Rich even promised me to complete this himself and went silent....9K later...nothing.
Lawbite are a toothless and truth less disgrace to the legal profession
AVOID at all costs...awful case…
AVOID at all costs...awful case management - passed between multiple people, no communication. Charged us for work they didn't complete and then stopped responding to any emails.
Lawbite haven’t paid any of their staff…
Lawbite haven’t paid any of their staff since January 2024 and yet are continuing to pretend to be solvent, preventing the staff from even accessing government funds to make up for the months worth of missing salaries and pensions. The CEO seems quite happy to continue to drag out the misery and financial difficulty he has caused his staff rather than admit the company is insolvent
DO NOT ENGAGE
DO NOT ENGAGE - There are signs that they are facing financial difficulties.
They have not replied to client or solicitor enquiries.
They're not even answering the phone any more.
Horrendous experience
Horrendous experience. Good to start with but two recent cases have not been supported due to internal difficulties at the company (see following response - 'Unfortunately LawBite is currently facing quite significant administrative challenges that have severely impacted our ability to assist with new enquiries'). I would absolutely warn any potential clients away as you will be disappointed.

I have no experience in legal matters and needed to settle a dispute. At first they were super responsive, but once they had taken my money I had to constantly chase just to get any kind correspondence. In their defence there is a major time zone difference, but they would go weeks without even sending a message. Well over a year later, they have basically just stolen my money - all I got was two zoom calls (the second one was a repeat of the first), there has been absolutely no action, let alone a resolution of the dispute. After months and months my solicitor (Alastair Redfern) said that he had been waiting for me to do something that a) we had never discussed, and b) was never even possible in the first place.
I put my trust in these people, and they basically just took my money and ran-off. I feel robbed. How can they take advantage of people in difficult situation like this... I bet they saw me coming a mile off. And what do you do? Legal action? I imagine that's a part of the law they know very, very well.
Please, if you need legal help, DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE
Once great now not to good
They used to be great and have gone downhill over the past few years. Recently I've had to chase for deadlines that have passed and even had to chase just to get my case progressed to speak to someone after it's been opened.
Today was the final straw as my case had been sat there for 5 days with no response, so I actively chased it up only to be told they were unable to help and instantly closed the case. My case was not complex and should have been something easily doable so feel it's likely a capacity issue rather than a capability one.
I used to recommend them to people to use but they have just become frustrating so I can no longer suggest anyone use them.
A Series of Miscommunications and Delays: A Frustrating Journey with Lawbite
From the outset, my engagement with Lawbite was marred by inefficiencies, poor communication, and a palpable lack of urgency that significantly impacted my business operations. As a client seeking to navigate the complexities of onboarding new shareholders and restructuring share allocations within my company, I was met with a service that fell woefully short of professional standards.
Initial Contact and Response Time: My initial inquiry was met with a delayed response, attributed to a high volume of cases. While I understand the pressures law firms face, particularly during peak periods, the lack of a prompt and direct engagement on urgent matters was disappointing.
Communication and Follow-ups: Throughout our interactions, my requests for expedited service and clear timelines were met with vague assurances and repetitive reassurances of prioritization without tangible action. Despite my explicit expression of urgency and the critical nature of the tasks at hand, the firm's responses lacked the commitment to swift and decisive action that one would expect from a professional service provider.
Scheduling and Time Zone Considerations: The coordination for calls and meetings was another area where the firm's lack of attention to detail was evident. Time zone differences were not adequately considered, leading to missed calls and further delays. When we finally managed to connect, the discussions, while polite, did not compensate for the lost time and opportunities.
Professional Competence and Attention to Detail: Misunderstandings regarding the nature of the stock to be issued and the specifics of the share purchase agreements pointed to a concerning lack of attention to detail. Such oversights not only cause delays but can also have significant legal and financial implications for clients.
Client Care and Understanding: Despite a late attempt to apologize for the service shortcomings and expedite my requests, the overall experience left me feeling undervalued as a client. The firm's inability to effectively manage and prioritize client needs, especially in time-sensitive situations, was disheartening.
Conclusion: Entrusting Lawbite with the critical task of facilitating shareholder onboarding and share restructuring turned out to be a regrettable decision. The experience was characterized by delays, inadequate communication, and a lack of professional diligence that one would not expect from a reputable law firm. For those seeking legal services in corporate matters, I would recommend looking elsewhere to ensure your business needs are met with the urgency and professionalism they deserve.

Many years of excellent service and support
I have worked with Lawbite for many years and we have an excellent relationship.
In the main my legal requirement is civil litigation and Johannes Duminey (solicitor) is extremely experienced in this area of law.
I needed help in a hurry & with clarity
I contacted LawBite as I urgently needed a commercial lease sorted, and I'd struggled with my previous solicitor. Marco was great as an intermediary, and Sarah was fantastic as a solicitor. She was thorough, all communications were really clear, and the service was excellent value for money. I can't speak for other people who work there, but my experience was definitely 5 star.

An absolutely fantastic service
An absolutely fantastic service. The system allows for clear communication and feedback, I always knew what the next steps were. Both the account manager and solicitor were super accommodating and friendly.
I will use this service for all of my legal matters moving forward
An excellent service, first class.
I have just received a positive outcome for a potentially difficult case. The lawyer (Roderick Farningham) dealt with everything quickly, efficiently and was very professional at all times, taking care not to inflame the situation, whilst keeping costs to a minimum. I am very happy with the service I received and can highly recommend Lawbite, from my personal experience.

We got our money back!
Rod Farningham worked with us, helping to channel our rage and misery at gross misrepresentation of a holiday booking, into really useful, legal submissions that finally resulted in us being reimbursed for the cost of the holiday let. We could never have done this on our own and it was well worth the legal expenses (which weren't reimbursed in the settlement) but were fair and always made clear before being incurred. A satisfied customer!
Fantastic service and great value
My experience of LawBite has been overwhelmingly positive. I was swiftly connected to a lawyer, Roderick Farningham, who was able to help straight away, and advise where specialist help should be sought. If I need any legal advice in the future, LawBite will certainly be my first port of call.
Poor data security
Surprisingly for a law firm, who no doubt advise their clients about the GDPR, they email correspondence to you in plain text. So whatever your lawyer messages you whoever has access to your mail server can find out.
I mean come on. There's a reason banks don't email you your bank statements. It's insecure.
This really put me off this firm. Who knows what they're doing with my data if they can't get the basic right.

Brilliant selection of highly experienced lawyers…
Brilliant selection of highly experienced lawyers for different small business situations - whether preparing contracts or fighting your corner. Value for money, plain English, no wasted time, know what you will pay and when. I'll never go back to a traditional law firm, ever....
Pragmatic clear no surprises
Transparent process. No unexpected costs. Pragmatic approach working to a successful conclusion.
False advertising
False advertising, stating 70% cheaper than a high street solicitor, yet far more expensive with all the inconvenience of them not having a physical office to visit, waste of time.
