As first time buyers, we went into the mortgage process relying on our broker for professional advice and guidance. Unfortunately, our experience with Sean was extremely disappointing and caused us a huge amount of unnecessary stress.

Sean told us that, due to our circumstances and our plans to relocate, we wouldn’t be able to get a mortgage. He also told us not to listen to another broker who had said that our circumstances could be worked around. To make matters worse, Sean then started ignoring our emails, leaving us feeling completely in the dark during what was already a very stressful process.

We decided to seek a second opinion from Pinnacle Finance, and the difference was unbelievable. They understood our circumstances, knew how to approach the application and our mortgage was approved the day after the application was submitted, with no questions or issues raised.

It’s incredibly frustrating to think that, as first time buyers, we were made to believe that our circumstances would prevent us from getting a mortgage, when another broker was able to find a solution without any problems.

Looking back, it feels as though Sean simply wasn’t willing to put in the extra effort required to find a solution for us. The advice we received caused us a huge amount of unnecessary worry and stress, and the lack of communication afterwards only made matters worse.

I would absolutely not recommend this company based on our experience. We are extremely grateful that we sought a second opinion, because otherwise we may have been left believing that getting a mortgage wasn’t possible when, in reality, it was.

Dominic was very professional, made the process very easy to understand, and mortgage sorted within 24hrs. Would highly recommend.

Despite having a great service during my first mortgage 5 years ago, this is yet another company lost to AI.

Unsolicited text messages from an AI "assistant" is not a good look to begin with, and seemingly a complete lack of consistency between phone calls while dealing with a very simple remortgage. Follow-up calls where I feel I am reiterating the same information over and over again. Case management?!

Sorry, but I don't trust a word-calculator to deal with my finances, and you shouldn't either. I'm going elsewhere.

Luke (Mortgage Expert) and Ashley (Protection Expert) have been really nice to interact with, quick to respond to emails, and, importantly for me, very accommodating to my tight schedule (with late calls and sometimes calls that had to end early due to my commitments).
