Trying to open a fixed rate bond totally impossible . after 15 mins i have given up/ had bonds in the past no problem . BUT to say some nerd has completely ruined a working system its just beyond belief ??? why i am not the only one read the reviews / who ever they let loose on the online application MUST want to bankrupt them . Because they have sabotaged a perfect working system and put this unworkable load of junk in its place

Spoke to customer advisor about investing as i made a mess up online went through security questions failed asked why. he put the phone down on me.SO RUDE BEWARE INVESTING IN THIS COMPANY IF IT STARTS LIKE THIS

Opened up a new fixed ISA where I expected (and they explicitly advertised that I could) to be able to drip in payments over the year as I have been for the last couple of years. Within a month they suddenly change the rules but still continue to advertise that you can on their website. Worst of all they won't answer my complaint. Instead they send cut and pasted replies about changes to software etc which have nothing to do with my query. I don't trust financial firms that change rules and, clearly, I'm not going to get a straight answer, therefore, I'll move my money as the ISAs mature.Shame because they used to be good and their rates competitive.

If it would go through with a "nil" - let alone a "minus" sum - I'd be able to rate them.
Here are my emails to them, today:
our letter dated 22nd April has just arrived, with the Final Response to my Complaint, dated 27th March (which was that, on 7th July last year, I set my password, and wrote it down; and, on 19th March this year, when you wouldn't accept, I spent a long time on the 'phone with you, re-setting it - and writing it down again; but on 27th March, you wouldn't accept that one either).

Do you understand my Complaint ? My being locked out wasn't owing to - what you are pleased to call - "invalid credentials": there was (is?) something wrong at your end.

Fortunately I can be shot of you entirely, next month. I would expect my £10,00 plus accrued interest to be paid into my nominated account

As you know, the FOS take ages - and I expect that you are cynically exploiting that fact.

And:
PS: I've changed my password (I've just found how to do this - no thanks to you); but, now, it won't accept my secret word - which, again, I wrote down on 7th July last year (and, in any case, was simple for me to remember).

I am always happy with my dealings with Kent Reliance. The only reason I did not give the full 5 stars was the fact I could not automatically reinvest my matured funds into another bond that was not already included in the matured options. Instead I had to cash in my maturity sum and then go through the process of opening a new bond. This seems an unnecessary long winded procedure.

Just taken out 2 new account with good interest rates. Easy to transfer on line. Have been with them for a number of years.

I was trying to open a fixed rate bond online which you say takes only ten minutes. It took me about an hour it was very frustrating and I have decided I will not be opening any more accounts with Kent Reliance if they are online only.
When I first started saving with you I was able to speak to a person which made opening an account very easy.
