Keen advertised the Targhee 2 as being waterproof. It never showed signs of even being water resistant. The manmade portion of the lower outer surface failed within 3 1/2 weeks. Sole shows separation... See more

I placed an order and made sure I chose…
I placed an order and made sure I chose the right size. After paying, for some reason, the size was wrong. I called the store a minute later, and they told me they couldn't change the size, so I'd just receive the item and then return it.
I made my decision, made the return for good, and said goodbye to the store.
Fell apart as soon as it was out of warrantee! 10 wears.
I was so pleased with the initial fit and comfort of my walking boots. I am not a regular walker and only used them about 10 times in the first year. I spent well over £100 for these shoes but shortly after the warrantee expired the right boot sole started to separate from the body of the shoe. The shoes were no longer watertight and were unwearable. As the year warrantee had expired I thought I would appeal to Keen themselves to at least check if there was a manufacturing fault with the shoe as the left foot was fine.
After SIX weeks with no response I phoned the company and the 'customer service' (haha) rep said they had received the shoes but they don't do anything about them based on the letter that came with the shoe but they WAIT for the customer to phone before dealing with it! I explained the situation, the rep said they can't do anything with a shoe that's out of warrantee not even look at it! He then said all he could do was send me a 20% discount of my next pair! Of course that never arrived either........ So poor and very disappointing. I thought I was buying quality but ended up wasting £100+

I previously had a pair of keen sneakers, and the material inside the heel ripped. Keen warrantied them. The second pair did the same thing. I took pictures and sent them into keen. They absolutely did not warranty them. I will never buy another pair
No longer a good product
It used to be a great product, but not anymore. The quality/ durability declined rapidly and customer service is rather bad. They don’t stand behind their product. I used to be an advocate for keen, but not anymore.

Bought Keen work boots
Bought Keen work boots which I must say were very comfortable. However after 1 year the stitching in 2 places had gone, brought to a local shoe repair shop and had them restiched about 3 months later the rubber covering on the toe cap came loose followed by the soles coming off had to dump them at this stage. I must say they were the worst boots I have ever purchased as I am in my late seventies I have had quite a few pairs of boots in my time. Keep away from Keen boots they are pure rubbish.
After problems with three pairs of Keen sneakers…
After three pairs of Keen sneakers having the same problem with the sole coming apart in pieces I contacted Keen but was told my latest pair had just past a year since the sale date so they would offer no help. The first pair I attributed the wear to hard work building my house. The second pair lasted a bit longer but the piecemeal soles they use started falling off. I had a good experience with my Keen water shoes so I tried one more time. The third time was not the charm. The sole pieces started coming apart in just a few months. Instead of shoe-gluing them (multiple times) I should have called for a refund before the 12-month warrantee. After Keen flatly refused to do anything after explaining all of this to them as long-term customer, I switched to Merrell and have been very happy. Taking my Merrells on the Camino this fall after more than a year wearing them, and they have had zero issues with their construction or materials.
Poor Quality Glue
A month out of warranty and the shoes fell apart. The glue they use breaks down. Very poor quality for the cost of these shoes.
They hurt my damn feet.
They hurt my damn feet.. I gave them 2 weeks.. I waisted my dang money.. if you standing or walk on concrete all day it's not the shoe for you.. they feel ok in the store but bout an hour or 2 later everyday felt like blisters on my feet..
Adding to the list of reviews
Adding to the list of reviews, was a fan. Have sandals lasted for years. The waterproof boots comfy, but stitching coming undone after not very much wear. Such a shame because they were reliable. No more
4 years ago I bought my first Keen…
4 years ago I bought my first Keen Boots. I loved them and wore them every day. I liked them so much I got a second pair. They were the best boots id ever had.
I bought a third pair that didn't last near as long but since I bought them from eBay i figured they may have been knockoffs and didn't think much of it.
Well I bought a fourth pair directly from Keen. They began to fall apart the first week I had them. the stitching fell out of them. I contacted Keen and they immediately responded with a claim number and asked for photos and the receipt which I provided.
I have now responded four times and the only response I have received is the same canned response asking for photos and receipts.
For 165.00 I expect better, Better product and better customer service. My next boots will not be Keens.
Comfortable for a while, but son fall to bits.Very comfortable shoes for walking…
Very comfortable shoes for walking across a range of terrains and a good, wide fit. But.... the construction is shoddy. The sole has separated from the upper on 3 successive pairs of Targhee walking shoes after relatively
little wear, and reviees show this is a widespread construction problem. Shoddy product for the price. Not a good brand.
Update – Just Over a Year Later: Even Worse Than I Thought
It’s now been just over a year since I bought these KEEN shoes, and unfortunately, things have only gone downhill. The heel on the sole has worn through, and cracks are now appearing along the sides. The inner heel padding is starting to delaminate, and some of the stitching has begun to come undone entirely.
For a brand that used to stand for quality and durability, this has been really disappointing. I expected these shoes to hold up for years with moderate use, not start falling apart this quickly. It’s not just me either—others in my family have had similar issues with recent KEEN shoes. Whatever changes they’ve made in their materials or manufacturing, it’s clearly not for the better.
Very frustrating experience. Definitely reconsidering future purchases from KEEN.

But I bet you will not reply to this review
Keen sandals aren't worth the money
Keen makes great trail / hiking boots, but their sandals are awful. Each of the toe holders on my Kona flip flops have come loose (one I was able to fix by poking a hole at the bottom to pull the fabric thru because the sole was also split apart), but this time the other shoe is unrepairable. My husband has had to glue the soles together on his sandals, so hoping he'll get more use out of them. We only have sandal season for a few months each year, and these were purchased in 2020 -- it's terrible that these can't stand up to use and storage (not "fit for purpose)!
Terrible ordering experience
I have worn Keen boots for 10-15 years. Now their store is online with such a bad website they should shut it down. So boots are on sale? No one bought them? I just tried 6 times to order and ended up in a rat's nest of circular scrolling, but NO BOOTS.
If their manufacturing has gotten anything like their ordering process, this company is dead. Phone: no go. Chat: circular craziness with a promise to get in touch sometime this week. (Great for sale ietms, lol!) Ordering from the site: can't be done. Big disappointment!
The model picture shows a high-end gray…
The model picture shows a high-end gray color, but the actual product is a dull yellow and the size is two sizes smaller than the one I ordered! The return process requires me to bear the shipping cost myself. The seller's attitude is very bad. I will never buy from this store again.
Purchased two and a half months ago…
Purchased two and a half months ago wore approximately five times. The stitching line in center of toe facing toward leg way more than right foot, I let that go now the sole gave way at the heel and will add this as I have worn this style year after year and this is the most uncomfortable pair I have purchased ever.
Poor Customer service follow-up
I am a 20 year Keen "Fan" My Keen Kovens started falling apart after a year. after unsucesfully reaching out via chat I got one customer service rep on the phone who was able to help me get an online store credit for part of the value. The shoes I ordered did not fit. I contacted them and was told to do a return and reordered a larger size. This is time sensitive so I can get my shoes broken in before an upcoming hiking trip. I ordered before 9am eastern on Thursday and as of Friday pm they were still not shipped. I requested escalation with customer service but have'nt heard back from anyone.
Getting the run around
Getting the run around
Trying to return a pair of used boots. They state free returns free shipping, but now maintain they have no record of the order.
We have sent them copies of the invoice but now have just stopped responding.
Even though it might be a vendor they contract with, they were on the Keen site.
Steel-Toe Shoes Were Painful
The steel toe shoes were incredibly uncomfortable. It felt as though my feet were in a vice grip.
They scoffed at my warranty claim.
