We completed roughly 4 and a half months after instructing, as first-time buyers with no onward chain. They got the job done, so objectively it was fine.

However, our conveyancer, Tavleen Kaur, was astoundingly uncommunicative. One of our emails took a full month to be responded to, after several follow-ups attempting to get a response. No information was seemingly ever given voluntarily, and any questions or attempts to gauge what was happening were either vaguely answered or never even addressed... If you get Tavleen as a conveyancer, be prepared to be incredibly in the dark about what's going on.

Halima made my experience great, she was fantastic from start to finish. There were many many hurdles in our sale and purchase, but (18 months after we had our offer accepted on our purchase) it all went through. Halima gets 5 stars, the 4 stars are for JS Law in general. The compliance team seem to be a stand alone company (I could be wrong about that) but they seemed a little bit disjointed compared to the rest of JS Law. But all in all a very good service, thank you! :)

Good company very good service

I honestly couldn't fault the service I received from Elya Findley at JS Law throughout the purchase of my house. Elya was fantastic from start to finish and handled everything extremely well.
There was unfortunately a delay in the chain, which was completely outside of Elya's control, but she was brilliant at keeping on top of things. She was constantly chasing the other parties, keeping me updated and doing everything she could to keep things moving towards completion.

I'd definitely recommend Elya and JS Law to anyone looking for a conveyancer. Fantastic service from start to finish — thank you for all your hard work!

Brilliant service, very easy and relaxed

Not all of JS laws staff are great, some where very poor, however if you get Katie Humphrey as your
conveyancer you are getting the best.
She had great communication skills, was willing to take the time and listen to your concerns, but the major plus she always answered her phone!

Communication ok. Completion occurred without any issues.

This is a company that does not answer their phones, and do not return calls when a message has been left.
They are not a SRA registered company and only two SRA registered solicitors.

Genuinely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I am currently 22 weeks into what should have been an 8 week conveyancing transaction for a chain free new build property. For months, I have regularly been unable to get hold of anyone. The phones constantly ring out, regardless of which number I call, and if I receive a response at all, it often arrives conveniently at 5pm when it’s too late to discuss anything.

Throughout this process, I have felt dismissed, ignored, and at times spoken to rudely. On what should have been exchange and completion day I was ignored all day then EMAILED at 4.55pm that there was a problem and it couldn’t go ahead, leaving me out of pocket and distraught. After that it got to the point where I made a 6 hour round trip to the office, only to sit in reception for FOUR HOURS while not a single person came down to speak to me. (I was told by other company staff that I was not the first client of theirs to do this) even after this they have continued to deliver below average service.

There are several other points but overall the level of client care has been absolutely shocking. I don’t regret many decisions in life, but choosing this firm is genuinely one of them. At this stage, having already paid my legal fees, I feel my hands are tied and I have completely lost confidence in the service I am receiving.

I sincerely hope anyone considering using this company thinks twice, because I wish I had now that I am emotionally exhausted.
My first house purchase should have been exciting, now it feels ruined.

Worst customer service I have ever received. TLDR Under no circumstance hire these people. Any other conveyancer at any other price would be better.

My conveyancer was terrible at getting in contact, sending over documents late, ignoring emails, and replying to voicemails days later, and it would always be voicemail as he never answered the phone. This caused my case to drag on excessively, I'm currently at six months for moving into an vacant property, with a first time buyer purchasing my house. Often It was quicker to just get in touch with the buyers solicitor to find out what was needed then my own. Things got so bad I filed a complaint, where they acknowledged that the communication had been terrible.

Then... nothing changed and in fact it got worse. The only times I would get communication were sporadic, one paragraph emails from my conveyancer. Clearly they took issue at me filing a complaint. As of currently writing this I was told three weeks ago that everything was ready and my conveyancer just needed to confirm the moving date. In those three weeks neither myself, the estate agent for my purchase, the estate agent for my sale, the solicitors for my buyer nor the solicitor representing my shared ownership company have managed to get hold of him. All five of us have been completely ghosted. In the last week I've resorted to trying to call multiple times a day, every day, to never get through or have my voice mails responded too once. The other parties state that they have been emailing daily, nothing. Utterly shocking. I even tried filing a second complaint, to which I got a response a week later stating someone would call me immediately to address this. That in turn was a week ago.

I've now filed with the Ombudsman, but given the timescale they work on that is not going to help for months so I guess in the meantime I just... sit here with my life on hold and hope they decide to do some work one day? If that doesn't sound like your idea of a good time, don't hire these people

Fantastic experience. As my replacement conveyancer, Kylie was helpful and proactive. The wheel on the app made everything clear and the progress easy to follow.

Used Js Law for my sale and purchase and they’ve been great throughout the whole process. Irfaan who dealt with my case was really helpful and always made himself contactable which was very reassuring.
