The knife bought as a single item blade seperated from handle within guarantee, the product made individually back then is no longer available singular - i hope JJ will recreate this availability in future- however i was offered and sent a voucher towards another item and bought a knife set with this voucher deducted, great service and customer care, very quickly dealt with and appreciated and Annalise was very helpful throughout- thankyou , i have bought many joseph joseph items over the years and been very satisfied with them

What great customer service. The lid on my Totem bin stopped working it wouldn’t close properly. Sent in batch number and order codes, JJ asked me to send a video of the bin lid opening and closing. They confirmed same day that a replacement bin would be sent out and I received it the following day. That is definitely excellent customer service

Honest review – disappointed with performance and support.
I really like the sleek design of this Joseph Joseph trash compactor, but that’s about where the positives end for me.

At $225, I expected far more than a glorified tall trash bin. The manual crusher is underwhelming and struggles with basic items like plastic bottles, cans, or rigid food containers. It simply doesn’t have the power or design needed for effective compaction.

On top of that, the bag holder is unreliable — the bag constantly slips off, which defeats the purpose of a premium bin.

Customer service was equally frustrating. I was asked multiple times for information and sent videos of the issues not once, but three times. Communication felt like dealing with a chatbot, and after all that, there’s still no resolution.

I wanted to love this product, but for the price, it falls well short of expectations. Would not recommend unless you only plan to use it with very soft waste and don’t mind fighting with the bag holder.

My current workaround: I now use my old inexpensive waste basket with cheap bags. When full, I loosely tie the bag and place it into the Joseph Joseph bin to crush it. This method is far more effective and avoids all the tearing and slipping issues.

Quality items that last years

Ive nothing but good to report. Bought a salt and pepper mill a while back- the top fell off from time to time. I sent an email to raise the issue. Within 24 hours, a replacement was despatched to me. That’s why I buy Joseph Joseph - they stand over their products.

Having used Joseph Joseph products over the years and loved their designs and usefulness. I was upset that the handle had sheared off my totem bin. Not sure if the new design lid in spare parts would fit my bin I rang to check and spoke to Cindy in Customer Services who was very helpful. After emailing details and photos of my old bin unfortunately the new one was incompatible with my bin. The good news was they would send me a replacement bin. I was not expecting this at all and was delighted at this outcome. Thank you to Cindy and Mariela for help with this you/they are great ambassadors of a great brand. I'm happy to be the owner of a new totem bin!

I cannot comment on the product quality but delivery service and actions to resolve the issue are only worth 1 star.
DX (UK carrier) notifies you by text of the delivery day. No live tracking data available. Waited in day 1 looked at the text link again to find delivery rescheduled for the Nextday day2. No notification. Waited in day2 no sign by lunchtime so contact Joseph Joseph - “Sorry but it has been rescheduled at your request for the Nextday (day3) again going back onto the text link and sure enough rescheduled again. Cannot communicate with DX. JJ customer service advised if it doesn’t arrive tomorrow we will look into it! Shocking - expecting us to wait in for 3 days and hope.
Update. Following the publication of this review I was contacted by Joseph Joseph with an immediate resolution and the goods arrived special delivery. Why does it take reviews for Companies to react correctly? Thank goodness for Trustpilot. The original goods still haven't arrived - avoid DX

I ordered a bbq set which did not turn up. I contacted Joy from Joseph Joseph, and she sent me another one out straight away. She also kept in touch all the way though the process making sure I received it.

I enquired if a replacement part was available and received a comprehensive guide together with a link for the part from customer service representative called George.
I replied saying I found the postage rather outrageous for such a small and lightweight part and considered the matter closed.
George then looked further into my enquiry, traced the original purchase and found out I was still within warranty so got back in touch and dispatched a replacement free of charge!
Now that is customer service of the highest quality; not being asked, just doing it right for the customer.

I have a number of Joseph Joseph items but sadly my spray mop handle snapped after a year. I contacted customer services and the same day they responded with an apology and sent a replacement.

I had a problem with the courier, customer service took a while but sorted out a refund. Great products matched by the customer services.

The spring mechanism for the lid of our Totem bin had broken. I contacted customer services via their webform and received a response only 4 hours later that same day. I followed the instructions and provided my proof of purchase and because the item is still in warranty they have immediately processed a replacement. With no further action required on my side. Annalise was so helpful, the perfect customer experience today. Thank you

Great company. Beautifully designed products. A little more expensive than the competition but you get what you pay for - including fabulous customer service. I get more compliments from friends on my Totem waste separation and recycle unit than anything else in my house! When it developed a small fault with a hinge after 18 months, I contacted them and Kokila could not have been more helpful. Sent us a replacement lid straight away - no quibble - just a great, friendly, efficient service. Delighted

Good product that worked well in a small space. There was a delay in delivery but I contacted Kokila at Joseph Joseph who answered the phone quickly and sorted it out and emailed updates . Full marks for customer service.
