Our first visit included a consultation and a minor procedure, and we returned later for a full round of IVF. The results were exactly what we’d hoped for — we had the highest-quality embryos we’ve ever had, and just three weeks later, we were pregnant.

A Life-Changing Experience with IVF Serum – Our Miracle After Years of Heartache

After being told in the UK that we wouldn’t be able to have children, our hope was fading. We had undergone IVF treatment back home, but something never felt right — there were unanswered questions and unexplored possibilities. Then we found Serum IVF, and everything changed.

From the very beginning, the team at Serum treated us not just as patients, but as part of their family. They took the time to thoroughly investigate my health and discovered that I had endometriosis and cysts — something I had never been told during my treatments in the UK. I cannot recommend Serum enough! After 10 years of infertility and miscarriages they made our dreams come true!!!!!

If you are wishing to have a baby and you require IVF there is only one place in the entire world to consider and that is SERUM in Athens Greece.

From the moment you enter SERUM's front gate you feel safe and secure. Protected from the world outside as if you've set foot into an oasis of hope and wonder. A small fountain runs alongside the entrance path as you approach SERUM's front door, the sound of its falling water is soothing. You might even spy an occasional neighborhood cat quenching their thirst.

Step in through SERUM's front doors and the receptionists will warmly greet you, each one ready and eager to assist you in making your baby dreams come true. The reception area is professional, clean, modern, yet warm. The receptionists are fluent in several languages beyond their native tongue.

Soon you will be guided to a glass elevator that will lift you up to the next floor. Two friendly mid-wives will already be there waiting to greet you, opening the door for you to enter a truly modern and absolutely beautifully designed office area as if right out of a futuristic movie.

This may be where you will meet "Penny" - SERUM's founder (along with her sadly missed deceased husband). SERUM was a dream both shared when they were very young. Their mutual wish was to help anyone and everyone have a child, a family. Scattered on table tops throughout SERUM are countless books filled with images of babies and happy families, sent from all around the world from those who did just that - create a family of beautiful young children thanks to SERUM. People all around the world grateful for everything Penny has provided since SERUM's initial inception, when it may have been only a spark of a dream in her and her husband's eyes when they first started.

Encountering Penny is like meeting a powerful yet warm and loving motherly woman who only wants you to have your baby. She will smile at you, not just with her lips, but with her eyes. Eyes that twinkle with warmth and tenderness. Offering you a few deeply encouraging words, which are always appreciated when one is starting this journey. Penny might then personally introduce you to the extremely qualified physician who will get you started on your baby making path. A physician who will make you feel welcome, and immediately give you that perception of professional confidence and sense of trust you've been waiting for and hoping to feel since starting your journey possibly years earlier.

If you haven't sensed this already, this entire experience of going to SERUM is so very different from any other IVF you may have suffered through in the past, anywhere else. And perhaps because you are reading this, these other IVF clinics with their sleek websites, possibly their close proximity, and ultimately their false promises may have already sadly been the multiple cause of your own personal past disappointments. Going to other IVF clinics, only for your passionate dream to fail - not because it was your fault, but because those earlier doctors, their staff, the clinic itself was cold, uncaring and unresponsive. Possibly these earlier attempts you made elsewhere you felt neglected. Perhaps you were given too much medication which caused your body to suffer with OHSS. Or their profuse medicines possibly even sent you to the hospital feeling like you were about to have a heart attack! Making these prior experiences seem more like you'd been inside Frankenstein's lab. All of which you might have been willing to suffer through - if you had only been able to walk out of their clinic with a baby. But you didn't.

Not at SERUM. And it all begins with Penny. It's been my experience that the feel of a place, the success, the quality of a setting all begins, and kind of ends with the person 'at the top'. Their energy, their 'vibe', their ethics, their compassion trickles down through everything and everyone who works there. With Penny this is certainly true. One feels Penny's love and compassion and support emanating from everyone, almost as if they each share the same heart beat. Everyone at SERUM cares about you. Everyone at SERUM wants you to succeed. And they will do their best to help you. You will not feel this support in any other place, anywhere, this wondrous wonderful feeling and sense of being cared for, and even loved by everyone who works there. They just simply want 'you' to have your baby. A baby so your life might change how you have been hoping that it will, and become filled with that little bundle of love you've been so dreaming of.

I haven't even begun to discuss their "Suites' that Penny offers right next door. A beautiful apartment building where you can spend the night, or even a week, Overseen by two females who will make every effort to have your stay there be comfortable and cared for. So conveniently close.

We approached Serum IVF after several failed attempts and immediately felt at home and taken care of. We were offered a tailored treatment, which was successful the first time round. We are eternally grateful to the entire team, without which our baby miracle would never have happened.
Serum IVF offers state of the art treatments and boasts modern equipment on spotless premisses. They are also well prepared and helpful with facilitating the collateral medical needs that derive from an IVF procedure.

From the very first conversation with Serum IVF, we knew we'd come to the right place and any nerves we felt about going abroad for treatment just melted away. The English speaking team were extremely professional with a genuine warmth and kindness. They went above and beyond to keep in touch at every stage and put you at ease.

Everything was tailored to our individual case rather than the one size fits all approach we'd experienced at other clinics. We had an innovative procedure at Serum that hadn't been mentioned in the UK. They are also the gentlest IVF doctors I have met.

The clinic in Athens was high tech and spotlessly clean. Athens also happens to be a beautiful and interesting city so we were able to see the sites while there.

Thanks to the Serum team, we are now a family with a beautiful son and I would recommend them to anyone on their journey to become parents.

It was a privilege to come to Serum IVF as the doctors and midwives are wonderful, kind and personalize treatment much better than my experience in London. I feel they have more knowledge in a different way, and more innovative. I felt well looked after and I love how the clinic is based on the premise of being a caring clinic and not just a conveyor belt. If I had known about this clinic earlier and researched better, I would come straight here instead of London. An added bonus, I met a couple of wonderful women there during my treatment that have become friends and felt like an extended holiday combining treatment with being able to experience other things Greece has to offer - wonderful people, food and sightseeing.

After nearly three years of struggling with infertility, long wait times & rigid NHS criteria and mounting frustration + emotional distress, we decided to seek help from Serum IVF—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

From the very first moment, the team at Serum IVF provided us with compassion, expertise, and unwavering support. Over the course of just three days in the summer, they conducted thorough investigations, diagnosed our underlying issues, and offered clear and effective treatment options. Their approach was so personalised and reassuring, making us feel genuinely cared for at every step.
We flew in on a Thursday, seen the same day, follow up Friday, treatment Saturday and home again Sunday.

We also stayed in their accommodation, which was not only convenient but also comfortable and welcoming—helping ease the stress of travelling and treatment. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, allowing us to focus solely on the process.

If you’re facing infertility and feel like you’ve exhausted your options, I cannot recommend Serum IVF highly enough. Their professionalism, kindness, and skill truly changed our lives.

After our first successful IVF egg retrieval and transfer in 2022, we decided to go back and try for baby number 2 in September 2024 and I’ve recently found out we’ve been blessed with twins. I couldn’t speak more highly about Serum, everyone is so lovely, so responsive by emails what ever time/day you contact them. They make the journey easy and stress free! Thank you again Serum xx

I initially had a good impression of this clinic and would have recommended them based on our experience during our first IVF cycle a year ago. The staff were friendly and supportive, which left us feeling optimistic. When we first visited, they performed a hysteroscopy and advised us to try conceiving naturally for another six months, despite the fact that I was already 40 years old.

When we returned for IVF, they sold us medication (cash only), but upon checking at home, we discovered it was set to expire in just six months. Additionally, a polyp they were supposed to remove during the previous hysteroscopy was still there. Despite all this, we managed to retrieve one egg, but unfortunately, the cycle failed. I now know that it’s not recommended to proceed with IVF with one egg only.

The following year, I was advised to undergo ovarian PRP and another hysteroscopy. This time, the clinic recommended buying medication from a questionable pharmacy that provided no itemized breakdown of costs. We later discovered we could have purchased the medication elsewhere for much less.

We proceeded with the medication, but it ended unsuccessfully because they missed my ovulation and no eggs were retrieved. Throughout this process, we were shuffled between three different doctors. The primary doctor, Dr. Gryparis, was unavailable for our first scan, so we saw another doctor. When it was time for egg collection, Dr. Gryparis briefly introduced himself, seemingly not even remembering me. The entire process felt impersonal, as though they followed a one-size-fits-all protocol with no individualised care.

During our final consultation, Dr. Gryparis was dismissive and rude, essentially saying, “Well, these things happen. Anyway, you’re 43, so your chances are low.” This lack of compassion and personalised care was incredibly disheartening.

If you are looking for a clinic with a personal approach and consistency in care, I would not recommend this one. Additionally, their recommendation of an unethical pharmacy and their apparent focus on maximizing profit at the expense of hopeful and trusting patients raises serious concerns about their practices.

After several failed attempts at another clinic, we moved our fertility journey to Athens and the amazing Penny and her team at Serum. The service was amazing, everything was explained & tailored for us, resulting in beautiful twins. After many years we were finally able to visit Serum in it's lovely new location, where we were treated as family, Penny even giving teddies to the children. Sadly Penny's husband has since passed but we were able to remember him in our photos due to the lovely picture in reception. Serum will be forever in our hearts ❤️

I started my ivf journey in 2019. By 2024 when I contacted ivf Serum I already used 2 different European clinics without any luck.
When I had my failed embryo transfer N6 I decided to ask 3d opinion from Serum team.
Surprisingly they started valuable conversation with me, they booked an appointment with their ivf consultant ( I would like to highlight FREE of charge). I received extremely helpful advices without being their primary patient! It’s shocked me that these type of ivf business still exist!
Because 5 years of my ivf battle with other clinics proved a total differ attitude.
I would highly recommend this ivf clinic. I cannot thank enough a few special people who helped me ( not directly ) but with professional assistance achieved my desired pregnancy and be a mum of gorgeous son!

Well what can I say! Serum are amazing after years and years of failed cycles in the uk we had perfect embryos and a miracle little girl after one cycle with Serum. Everyone is kind knowledgeable and puts you at ease with everything.
