Total garbage
My experience was Very disingenuous and frankly incompetent my activation info was never sent out, when complaining I was sent messages saying it was a tech error and would be ok or a message asking £19.99 or £39.99 more to extend activation or become a full member
I was ignored when requesting a refund.
DO NOT wast your valuable time and money on this obvious con

I've really enjoyed taking the Teaching…
I've really enjoyed taking the Teaching Professional English course as it has been a great experience taking it since it deals with such aspects of ELT industry as Business English, English for Exams, ESP, or English for Specific Purposes and, of course, EAP, or English for Academic Purposes, and the course is just about all that. Amazing Value!
I came across IOA when searching for a TEFL course. I signed up for monthly membership for €11.99 and I must admit I was a little wary of what quality the course would be at that price. I was really surprised at how good the course is! It was easy to follow, engaging and I could complete it at my own pace. With membership I have access to all of IOA's courses so I've also completed some of the other teaching courses and, just for fun, I've started the Card Magic course! It's really good!
I'm going travelling around Asia this summer and thought a TEFL qualification could be a good money earner while I travel. I did have to pay €23.99 for the ICOES certificate but I didn't mind as for €11.99 membership fee I've done 4 courses already.
It seems pretty flexible so I'll probably cancel my membership while I'm travelling and come back to IOA later in the year as I've seen a few more courses I'd definitely be interested in taking.

Forensic science and criminology
This was a really excellent course with plenty of reading material. It is ideal for anyone interested in forensic science and reasonably priced. It is an ideal way of finding out what is involved and whether right for you but the multiple choice exam also allows you to gain a recognised certificate should you wish to proceed further. Customer service very quick to respond to any queries you have.

Signed up for a months membership, there are LOADS of course. I think I prefer the video ones, but have only scratched the surface so far. Debating moving to a yearly plan as its better value.

This has been a great experience! The courses are well-designed for teachers aiming to teach English abroad, helping with lesson planning and classroom management. The support team is prompt, professional, and incredibly friendly. Best of all, IOA is internationally recognized, so you can teach abroad. I recently received a job offer abroad with my ICOES/TEFL certificate through IOA. I’ve recently picked up a monthly membership and have moved to some of their other courses. So far, I’ve tried the Social Media Manager, Instagram for Business, and Facebook for Business courses. They are all high-quality and video-based. Highly recommend IOA!

If I could give this place a 0 I would…
If I could give this place a zero, I would. Not only do they charge for certificates, but they also refuse to refund your money. I waited over two weeks for a refund that never came, and when I followed up, they simply referred me to their policy. Their customer service is appalling—they completely ignored my concerns and provided no real assistance. I am extremely frustrated with their poor communication and lack of accountability. This program is useless and a waste of money.

Our policies, clearly stated on our website, specify that monthly plans are non-refundable. In your case, you canceled the membership after the payment was made. You took advantage of our offer of one free month but were aware that you would be charged for the following month if you did not cancel the plan before the end of the free month.
The value in question is $11.99, and for this amount, you had access to our full library, completed several courses, and started new ones. Despite this, we offered a certificate of achievement as a goodwill gesture, which you declined.
Regarding your comments about our customer service, we responded to each of your emails and passed your case to management for review, which is what took more time. We aim to provide clear communication and adhere to our policies to ensure fairness to all customers. Your refund request was handled according to these policies.
For clarity, our refund policy states: "Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. This is because when you purchase a subscription to the Site and Services, you are purchasing an ongoing rolling subscription with periodic billing of the subscription fees. Each time you pay the subscription fees, you agree to roll over your existing subscription into the next billing period. You can stop making payments for your subscription at any time, but you will not receive a refund for any subscription fees already paid."
We believe your comments are unfair given the value provided and the terms you agreed to.

HIDDEN COSTS BEWARE OF THE SCAM
I paid and bought the 120-hour TESOL Certificate. After I finished the system asked to pay another $70 for the digital certificate. That's an abuse. Try using other TESOL courses who do not charge separately for everything.

Course OK but you can't return to refresh and use it after its expired
I enjoyed my dog training course once I figured how to navigate. I messed up the first study session exam as I didn't understand the system- you can't go back. I did learn and would like to refresh and practice a couple of sections, but, unlike other online courses, it disappears when your time is up.
