Do not allow the woeful web portal to put you off!
I generally decline to provide feedback for insurance companies until I have tested them with a claim ... which I hope never to do ... so it's a bit of a catch 22! However, I am making an exception here in recognition of the patience and persistence of the people at the end of the phone who, despite the woeful web portal, managed to accommodate and find fair prices for a couple of unusual aspects of a house and contents policy. Unlike some online companies (AVIVA in particular) who simply do not provide a telephone number, so you are literally on your own ... these guys provide a telephone backup which is answered promptly by people who actually listen and bother to understand what you are trying to achieve. For that reason alone - in these times of 'artificial unintelligence' - they get a 5* rating. And I hope Dawn gets a bonus for her exceptional customer service!

Easy update and renewal
Like most people I have little or no interaction with an insurance company except when taking out a policy or claiming. I haven't claimed so this is about taking out and renewing. In this case I needed to update a detail on the policy and decided to hone rather rthan risk online. I got through without difficulty and the issue was resolved in about 5 minutes and my renewal updated and sorted. Very easy.

Bad service can't understand basic instructions.
I had to update policy holder on our policy as our neighbour moved out, and someone else bought the flat. So I opened up chat. Explained what was needed. Agent asked me to give info. When I copied the info across they asked for the info again even though I had already sent them the info. I gave info again even though it was clearly in chat and then they copied it onto the policy 2x wrong, and they left the old policy still active so I had 2 active policies.

Easy to find the renewal information, I contacted using Chat although it was difficult to find a telephone number on the website. However the renewal price was competitive and I accepted it.

I compare the price I've been paying for the past 12 months and I'm absolutely stunned at how much I'm paying compared to other insurance companies.
I write this in reply to your response.
I've found several other companies who offer me exactly the same cover for 40% of your price. What annoys me most of all is the fact that I've been paying your vastly excessive premium for the past 12 months.

Great first impression
I started doing a quote online and someone called me to go through it which I’ve never had before. They were really helpful and professions and even though we kept having terrible issues with the Wi-Fi and phone signal, they kept calling me back and we got through it all. Great price.
