This is the worst bank you can choose in Belgium. Their customer service is less than 0. If you try to get an appointment or call them all you here is pre-recorded messages and you never get to solve the question you have. Please choose another bank if possible!!!
ING customer service does not exists! Your customer phone number provided +32 2 464 60 04 does not work at all. You can only hear recording message that this number is restricted or disconnected. It is impossible to reach ING by e-mail, phone or APP. Your agencies are closed too. Then how we suppose to reach you to perform required banking operation?
After successfully using the ING Mobile App for years, I recently noticed that each time I try to make a transfer using the ING Mobile App on my iPhone 7, the App crashes when I select a saved recipient.
I contacted ING about this bug, only to be told it no longer works with iPhone 7. The solution they suggested was to buy another phone! However, on their site it states it works with versions of IOS 12.4 or later - I am on version 15.7.3 !
Developers are writing software to make their lives easier, not provide better functionality for the client.
It is cheaper to change banks than to buy a new iPhone! Appalling and expensive service, compared with Keytrade, Santander and other banks.
ING is useless. It used to be a good bank but now impossible to get any decent service. Their famous app which is supposed to answer all problems repeatedly said to go to their agence as something was missing in my account. I knew I had to make an appointment and tried their chat service on the app. They then insisted that such a message was unknown and there was no need to go to any agence. When I insisted they could not give me any help to make an appointment and said I had to send an email to their events centre. Crazy. Needless to say I will be switching to another bank as soon as possible. Be warned !!!
Just appalling service, rude staff, Incompetent and unprofessional. They closed my account without my knowledge, insisted the monies sent to account were being transferred back to sender when it was clearly not. Multiple efforts over a three month period to retrieve four months of income sent to the account, culminated in Insults from bank workers in Meudon Woluwe after being sent there by HQ to sort out the mess (their mess).
No explanation provided for the abrupt closure nor withholding of funds. Just more incompetence and plain nastiness tending on racist behaviour. Thirty years of banking ended in the most utterly disgusting of manners.
NOT an International or modern bank : The worst bank I have ever had to deal with- it’s not even a real bank they have no human contact having closed all their open desks and work within a rdv only policy - meaning you have to wait months to get a rdv within limited hours that are impossible for anyone with a job. To top it off- they have terrible customer service, leaving us in a terrible situation once when an agent was trying to force me to use the app while I was traveling abroad and did not have internet…they are simply stupid and lazy. They don’t care about clients and you don’t have the feeling of a banker-client relationship: you call them and there is no way to reach an agent instead you get a lousy customer service rep, you go to their branches they work behind closed windows and locked doors (not sure what they do behind those doors as a bank is a service institution), you write emails and no responses. I opened with them because they used to have a branch at my job, that branch closed because NO ONE wanted to bank with them, I stayed 6 years just because I was hesitating to open with another bank but now I have had enough with them. In 6 years I cannot say one positive thing from this ridiculously outdated incompetent bank that is a lame and sorry excuse for a financial institution.
Worst bank you can imagine. Just go away, I have never met anyone satisfied with the service they provide.
The customer experience is horrible. No one seems to care or really feel the need to offer any help. There are better banks out there. Planning to change soon.
They insisted on an item of proof that I couldn't provide before they would unblock my rental deposit. Even when I emailed them to point out that, according to article 229 of the Brussels Housing Code, the notarised statement that they were demanding, specifying the transfer of the rights concerning the deposit from the old owner to the new owner of the building, was completely superfluous, they wouldn't budge. Only when I sent them a letter threatening legal action did they finally give in and unblock my deposit. When you have to threaten to take your bank court, it is time to change bank.
ALL expats after you will leave Belgium the moment when they know you are out from Belgium they start to block your account and open Terms contract under your name and transfer money from your accounts without any consent with the explanation of taxes unpaid but now evidence no information about this and no chances to recover your money ever, but not with me because i will go to Brussels and i will take my money with all cost ..... and i mean all cost i don't care if i will go to jail or i die. They left me in France without no money when 3000 km from my home and no other option of cash. and when you call you have to speak with robots which are repeating that is not their problem that they don't respect their on regulation. This is ING until TODAY i will beg for some money to buy a ticket to Brussels and just check the news after
Worst experience EVER. They blocked incoming transfers to my accounts. Never notified me. And, now, since 2 months, I still don't know the reason and my accounts are still blocked!!!!!!!! After calling 30 times to customer service, going to the branch, sending them over 15 e-mails. Customer service keeps saying that they don't see anything wrong in the system. Internal departments to which they send "incidents" never answer and can't be reached by phone. Complaint that I filed on the website 3 weeks ago was never responded. Complaint that I filed to a dedicated complain department will take at least 1 month (!!!) to address. While I can't receive my salary for 3 months already. It's like a black box. Departments are not coordinated, don't respond, no one is responsible to follow my case, each time I call I have to explain from the beginning. NEVER USE THIS BANK. It's a total mess. It's a pity there is not enough competition on Belgian market and they still have enough customers to allow them to run their business as in the last century!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How is this even possible to be called a bank if we can’t even call you on the phone and that everything has to be done by email! And when you send an email there are no replies given…
Worst banque in the world !! You are luck that we have to put a minimum of one star but rest assured that if we could put minus stars you would deserve minus 10/10!
This relates to accounts in France but reflects the policy of this bank at its headquarters. The bank has decided to stop operations in France, in itself an action that is difficult for its customers, but they have done so in the most incompetent and least caring way. Incompetent subcontracted people, working from home with children crying and no files available, putting customers on file at Banque de France by mistake, etc.
To release a bank rental guarantee it is over one month and I am still waiting for my money. All documentation has been sent weeks ago. Their process is ridiculous. Can't call anyone directly to see what the problem is. Different people working on the file and they don't share info. A total mess. Awful customer service.
It has been over a month since I applied to open a current account. I have received the ATM card and the PIN, but my account is still not active. The customer service representatives I call twice daily are unable to tell me what is taking so long.
Their service has seriously declined over the years, and their decision to close most of their agencies has really made things worse. I've had enough of ING, really - who do they think they are? After 33 years as a client, I'm really in a hurry to move elsewhere and my only remaining question is whether I should bother to choose another Belgian bank.
Very pool customer service, late actions on important matter to clients.. it took them more than one month to reopen my account though i provided ING with their requested documents. Agents who respond via the ING app are doing nothing! For contact via phone must wait long time in Q to talk to someone. In general, if you plan to live outside Belgium for a while, you might want to change your bank before departure.
If someone is looking for a worst bank in the World then this is the one. If you don’t believe go and try out yourself. Service is super super slow that I have never ever seen in my life in any other countries I have been . To open a business account they literally took more then a month . I have summited all the documents they need on the first day. Whenever I visited branch of ING Belgium the only thing they say is wait decision made to done from headquarter such a bureaucracy . Seriously!!! just to open a small business bank account took that long? Avoid this bank and go to others instead. ING bank living in 17th century trust me.
