UK government is an absolute joke and in no way is working in the best interests of its constituents.
Stealing pensions by making people work an extra 6years without notification is immoral. Has caused major issues for many resulting in suicides, selling of homes, deprivation, anxiety, stress and exacerbation of illness .

Pension poverty for WASPI women
Pension robbery
PENSION ROBBERY Successive governments between 1995 and 2011 robbed NI contributions to bale themselves out of economic mismanagement. Instead of contributing to uk pensions pot, like every worker in the uk, they were stealing these funds, knowing that there could never be sufficient funds to pay out. So fast track a pension hike for women, in the name of equality, and rob 3.8 million 1950s woman of 5 years state pension,Roughly £45k each. Untold misery has been inflicted on these women , losing homes, having work with debilating illnesses etc. Its ruthless and inhumane to treat a small cohort of elderly women , who worked and paid for a state pension, to grow old and impoverished. Shame on you UK government

Government not transparent and not accountable.
Handling of 50s women’s pensions typically unfair but judgement was that they don’t have to be fair!
Handling of Covid same, so many mistakes but no accountability.
Shameless hypocrites
Told private pension companies to give 10 years notice of any changes, then argued in court that the government/DWP has no need to inform anyone of changes to the state pension age. Unbelievable hypocrisy

Give them THEIR pensions!
"We employ the Goverment but get nothing in return".#Women born in the 50s!
#Born in the 50s. The goverment has no idea what a challenge we women face just to survive. You all have 2nd homes paid for by the tax payer. You carpets, decorating, furnishing and buying of your 50" flat screen TV's are by the tax payer. We pay towards your weekly food shop and whilst at work when you can be bothered to turn up we also pay for the meals and drink at your subsidised bar and restaurant at the houses of parliment. Many of you are shown to be asleep whilst sitting in the house of commons. I cannot imagine any other employer allowing his staff to fall asleep when meant to be working. You convieniently forget we the public are your employers we voted you into your jobs whether you sit on the right or the left of the seats. Boris Johnson has told friends his minister’s salary of £141,405 a year is not enough to live on, according to reports. Perhaps if you kept it in your trousers prime minister you would not have to pay maintenance for all your offspring born out of wedlock! What would us #1950s women do to recieve just a small percentage of your salary if only you held up the promise when we started work that we would be paid our pensions and retire at 60.
Government seems to be full of ex etonians who give jobs to their friends both within parliament and contracts to those friends who didn't follow into political positions. One rule for you rich and powerful men and another for those of us who do all the work you wouldn't dirty your hands for and get paid a pittance for. You wouldn't survive a week let alone year after year.
You are a misogynistic Government and are responsible for putting all women born in the 1950’s into poverty. You are fully aware of the suffering facing these women because the DWP was not made to inform all women of the changes and that we would have to work an extra 5/6/7 years before reaching pension age. You have refused to take any action to help the distress currently being experienced by many of the 3.8 million women affected. The pensions we paid into for the whole of our working live has now become a benefit. Many of us were given no notice apart from hidden in the broadsheet newspapers such as the Financial Times which most of us didn't read and absurd adverts of two dogs talking together about women's pensions hardly eye catching for something that was going to involve 3.8 million women.
Trust in the UK government?
The majority of women who were born in the 50's were never told that their pension age would be raised to 66 over a very short period of time.
Many people will be unaware that government are not duty bound to inform anyone of such changes.
So many injustices were served on that cohort of women and when you scroll forward thinking this does not concern you.
Check how successive governments colluded to deny haemophiliacs compensation for being aware there was a high risk of infection with hepatitis C and Aids from imported blood. Forty years on, they're still fighting.
Paedophiles guilty of trafficking young girls allowed to walk free.
Universal Credit rolled out creating untold poverty. Food banks, people sanctioned, resulting in no payments to claimants. People died as a result.
Elderly covid patients sent to care homes without medical attention, thousands dead.
Finally, do you trust a vaccination rushed through that would deny you any compensation if you later suffer side effects?
Ask who has your interest at heart?
Is it really a government for the people?
I am so disappointed in the government, it has no understanding of life north of Watford Gap. Our mining areas have never recovered from the loss of jobs. People lost their self respect when they were no longer able to provide for their family. That bred a whole generation of people with a sense of entitlement who had never worked and couldn’t see the point when they were able to negotiate a benefit system with skill. So the people who really needed assistance were too proud to ask for help and struggled on. People were encouraged to save, when they got older the government saw a cash cow to milk, They’d saved, done without, to give their families a leg up and guess what, those who never worked got care and those who worked for a little security in their future had it ripped away in care fees. So we have pensioners, Most particularly 50s women but men too, fleeced of their pensions another useful cash stash, and what did the people get? They got bigger bills, money sent abroad to feed the homeless and starving whilst tripping over the homeless and starving on our streets. Wow now let’s have the useless HS2, A rail link from Hull to Manchester would be useful, London to Manchester frankly London? No one cares! black lives matter, of course they do and police lives matter to protect them. Some youth are feral, and schools are operating with both hands tied behind their back. Everyone has rights but don’t understand with rights come responsibility. The patience of the country is running out. The rich get richer, the smart get supported and the grafters graft frustrated by the system.

I started work just after my 16th birthday and I have paid 46 years of contributions, not only did I not get my pension at 60 when I expected it, I am still paying in and will be until I'm 66, this is a disgrace, shame on DWP and the Government

I have worked 43 full time years- I took early redundancy believing that I would get my pension aged 60.
It was financial suicide. My union nor NHS Human Resources were aware of these changes.
I then had 2 years notice that 6 years would be added to when I receive my pension. After a stroke and various other debilitating illnesses i am entitled to nothing. I wrote 3 letters of complaint that I had not been informed of these changes not even a response.
GB even today, Still proving there is no equal opportunities for women. Shambolic
Pension stolen when women in our age…
Pension stolen when women in our age group are desperately in need. Work all our lives and looking after parents and grandchildren and we are called needy where is the justice in this case? Feel so let down.
What a way to treat women born in the…
What a way to treat women born in the 1950's. Worked all our lives and had our pension stolen off us. Its a disgrace and unjust to treat hard working women of this country this way..Compensation is due and pension restored.
There should be a zero vote for…
There should be a zero vote for this...... UK governments have blatantly ROBBED we 1950's born women with the pretence of calling it equality...there was NO warning of the 6 year rise in our pension age...until 2013 when I reached 54, I believed and anticipated getting my pension aged 60...how the hell are we supposed to prepare for old age from such a late stage in our lives!!!! This would NEVER have been allowed to happen to men....MAKE THE UK GOVERNMENT REPAIR THE DAMAGE TO THE 1950'S WOMEN
I’m a 1950’s Women who has been robbed
I’m a 1950’s Women who is having to work an extra 6 years with hardly any notice before getting my pittance of a pension. I work 4 part time jobs to make ends meet plus care for my 92 year old Mum so that she doesn’t go into a home, therefore saving the government even more money. By the time I get my SP I will have contributed 50 years of NI. This and previous Governments has let us Women down badly and robbed us of around £40,000. Working life was not equal for us, we were paid less money than men and not allowed to join company pension schemes so this is nothing to do with equality! Give us our money!! We paid in, you pay out!
Not even worthy of one star
Not even worthy of one star. Taken money off me since the 1970s with the expectation of getting pension when I reach 60. Changed the pension age by 6 years with no notice and hid behind the judiciary to say they didn't have to inform us. Picked on the very generation of women who never had an even playing field in the work place and just rubbed it in a bit more. Trying to make out like they're doing us a favour letting us be equal to men because it suits them. Its our money you have taken under false pretences and if you were a private company you would have been answerable in law. Using the falsehood of saying people are living longer to justify their actions when they know this isn't the case as working class women who have reached 60 since 2013 are the biggest group of people not following the upward trend in longevity. They need to get their heads out of the trough and just look at what their actions have done to some of the women who have worked, juggled children, aging parents and put into society and are now unable to carry out child care for grand children because of work commitments and/or poor health. Cameron's "Big Society" was just another con to put more on our shoulders.
Giving lucrative health contracts to their business pals and suggesting free healthcare can't be supported whilst they are diverting our NICs to vanity projects like HS2 instead of the NHS. Our government get away with everything they are the scum of the earth
I should like to give a minus in this…
I should like to give a minus in this rating because I am also a fifties born lady and am utterly disgusted in the way out government's have betrayed our promise to us in withholding our pensions for a full six years with so very little notice .Personally I have worked since being sixteen alongside studying to further my education and in raising four children who are all working and contributing positively to society ! I take credit for this as a working mother and conscious of being a positive role model.I believed that I would receive my pension at 60 and have been forced to downsize my property in order to have some money to sustain me until I receive my measily state pension !!! I care for my elderly mother and also my grandchildren enabling their parents to work ! It saddens me to read these heart wrenching reviews from other ladies who have been treated with contempt by governments who are there to act in our best interest !
This government couldn’t manage its way…
This government couldn’t manage its way out of a wet paper bag. They decide to accelerate the pension age regulations and move men to 66 (from 65) and women to 66 (from 60) for “equality” purposes. You only have to read the sentence to see the inequality. 3.8million women robbed of circa £45,000 and left to fend for themselves especially if they are on their own. Single mother at 16 (never paid anything into the coffers) there you go, have these benefits etc etc. Woman over 60 (who’ve paid tens of thousands over their working lives) go out and get a job! The over 60’s have paid more into this country than anyone else! I regret even having to give them one star. They are thieves and took “our” money to fill the gap in the NI fund which was of their making, not ours. Don’t EVER trust a word they say.
