Reliable company to use
I used this company last week as they offered the cheapest rate for the Ece Saray Marina Hotel. Unfortunately I had to cancel and I received my refund within 2 days🤗. I cannot fault their customer service who were easy to contact and will definitely use them again.
Wont refund!
Booked a hotel in Miami and for personal reasons I had to cancel in the same week, however I received to emails... The first email stated that my full transaction would be refunded and the following email stated 0 dollars would be refunded.

Recommendable
I booked hotels several times.
It was always easy, cheap and correct.
This year i cancelled a booking due to corona.
The money was back immediatly.
Only negative is that i never got an answer from the customerservice on
my emails.

Hotelopia is Awfu
Booked a room in Vegas for April through Hotelopia. Of course the hotel wasn't open due to Covid. Emailed Hotelopia several times. The emsil indicated that they would refund my credit card in 15-21 days. 3 months later, still waiting. Do not use Hotelopia. I booked through them on WestJet vacations site. Do not use them. They stopped answering emails and customer service number might as well be a phone booth in an abandoned desert as calls were never answered. A terrible company!

Easy, a lot of options and great rates
This summer I traveled with my family to Malta and I booked 3 hotels with Hotelopia: The Ramla Bay Resort, Calypso hotel in Gozo and La Falconería. The booking process was really easy and quick! Additionally, I found many different options of room types and board types and the rates were really competitive. The hotels I chose were recommended by Hotelopia and they were really nice, as the pictures! I fully recommend Hotelopia!

I booked recently an hotel in Menorca and I discovered only 1 day before the check in that the hotel was closing due to Covid situation.
I'm not sure the hotel inform all the agency, but when I contacted Hotelopia for the support I received a very quick reply.
Just a small negative note abot the contacts. The emercy contacts appearing in the booking didn't reply. I needed to wait for the standard support
Many thanks
Easy, efficient and great price
I made a booking with Hotelopia for a 3 night stay in Menorca last week. The price was great, the booking process was quick and easy and the property exactly as described. On arrival the reception had my booking and the apartment was ready for us to occupy, and spotlessly clean, at exactly the time advertised. So all perfect from my point of view - easy and efficient!
Customer Service DOES NOT reply DO not use these people
Will not reply. Ive sent three inquiries for an urgent matter and well within my timeframe to cancel. No reply and don't know if I am still going to be held accountable for the hotel. I will never use these guys again if they try to screw me as the others have in the past. VERY few of these brokers or third parties are worth the extra dollars you save!

Please stay FAR FAR away from Hotelopia.
I had booked a Hotel over a week ago and they have now decided to tell me the booking has been cancelled. And asked me to cancel the booking on their website so it's finalised. They informed me this cancellation came directly from the Hotel...
Little did they know I had already spoken to the Hotel who advised me it hadn't been cancelled. I forwarded their E-mail to the Hotel directly, and the Hotel are now dealing with them directly.
They are 100% trying to Scam you. Yes, they offer a service, but believe me they'll do anything and everything to steal you money and leave you with nowhere to stay.
Please avoid at all COST!
I have quoted one of their E-mails below confirming 'cancellation'. Please read for yourself and see how they contradicted themselves in the E-mail.
Dear Client,
Greetings from Hotelopia.
Please be informed that unfortunately the hotel booked for this booking will remain closed.
For that reason, we contact you in order to know if you want to cancel the booking free of charges or instead we can find an alternative no cost for you in the area.
Awaiting your soonest response.
Regards.

Hotelopia wont refund
Booked Budapest hotel to travel 14th June.I contacted them due to Covid situation and they said on 19th May that I would receive a full refund.Still no refund and I have emailed 3 times now.No reply to the emails apart from an automated response.
Don’t believe them when they say they’ll give you a refund
Prior to COVID, I have used hotelopia for years. However, Covid happened. I was due to fly to Aruba in March 2020; however, my flight was cancelled and unless you were a citizen, you were not allowed into the country. I contacted hotelopia who appeared brilliant and advised that I would receive a refund within a few weeks - it’s now mid August and despite chasing this up, they have ignored any further emails. I find it disappointing as they should never have said that they would refund me when they clearly had no intentions - I even said I’d happily accept a voucher which would have given hotelopia some more security during this pandemic. It has put me off booking with them in the future, and unfortunately I would no longer recommend hotelopia.

When you arrive there, you are faced with a closed door. That's a nice welcome. Booked in January and had no further phone, mail etc etc. DO NOT BOOK BECAUSE YOU WILL BE SCAMMED. If you book through hoteltopia.com and you call them they will not return. Never book via hoteltopia.com hoteltopia.nl 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Booked and cancelled the hotel at the same day. Got the confirmation that refund would be issued in 5-20 business days. Month and half later, still no refund. Called them and was on hold for 30 mins, finally spoke to rep, they figure out the problem and told me it would be another 7-15 days. Will never book with them again.
Getting refund is impossible & resort fees not included in price
Double booked a room by mistake at Caesar's Resort in Las Vegas, then cancelled a day later. An error message indicated the refund did not go through and said I'd have to contact Customer Support. I've been trying to contact Customer Support (929-207-0510) for days without success. Get put on hold and eventually get disconnected. Also, Hotelopia DOES NOT collect resort fees which explains why their prices are lower than other sites that do include the fee. Caesar's Resort mandates a $50/day fee which was charged to our credit card after checking out.

They are the worst in terms of Customer support. They dontt refund if you have a problem on the spot they dont help.
I got charged by the hotel after paying them for my booking. I booked with them in March I called emergency line on the spot andafter 2 hours, I ended up paying directly. Now we are in August and I still didn't get my refund even though I have sent several emails and each time a new person responds who does not know the story and they answer something else that you did not ask while ignoring your issue
Never book with Hotelopia if you want to save your time and money
OK, but no support
For me Hotelopia worked for booking and cancellation.
But beware, IF you have to cancel DO NOT:
1. Use the "Contact form"
2. Try to call any phone number
INSTEAD:
3. Go to "Your booking" on the Hotelopia.com and log in with booking number and mail. Here one of the options is "Cancel".
I got an confirmation email immediately and all my money back after just two days.
The frustration when they don't answer to contact forms or phone calls is a bit too much, though.

Awful service
Had to cancel our trip to New York. Contacted Hotelopia to say that I need a Cancellation Invoice to say that I the trip was cancelled and no other alternative had been offered so that I could forward this to my insurance company to settle the claim.
Well, email after email, no response (apart from a Query being raised by them back in June). Tried to call today and got put through to an automated 'sorry we missed your call, leave your details'.
Now that I've read some of the reviews on here, I'll be avoiding Hotelopia in future.
This site is REAL and Legit
This site is REAL and Legit. It worked for me exactly as one would expect. Booked and payed for the room and received confirmation emails. Called the hotel few days later just to confirm (doubts due to bad reviews on here) and room was already paid for. No problems here on my end. Call the hotel ahead of you have doubts. I used Priceline and found Hotelopia was the cheapest.
