Established in 1992, Hopes Grove Nurseries are hedging plants specialists with a 125 acre nursery and over 1 million home grown plants situated in the Weald of Kent. Our skilled nursery staff have over 200 years of growing experience between them so our plants are given the best possible start.
We only sell our hedging plants to the end user (not to Garden Centres or other nurseries) so you can be assured of direct from the nursery pricing that you will find very hard to beat. We deliver nationwide with plants coming directly from their growing beds to guarantee they are fresh and top quality.

- We are one of just a handful of online nurseries to have attained Plant Healthy certification. In a nutshell, it’s a way of proving that we will always do the right thing in preventing the spread of harmful plant pests and diseases. The Plant Healthy Management Standard is a voluntary initiative that sets out requirements for implementing effective plant biosecurity systems that can be adopted by horticultural businesses. Hopes Grove Nurseries chose to be part of the scheme earlier this year, after a lot of preparation we received our independent audit in October 2025 and passed with flying colours!

Very good website
Good website which explained hedging types, quantities recommended and planting information. Ordering was simple and delivery prompt, plants were good quality, in good condition, well packed and none were received damaged.

Bought 40 bare root yew in November…
Bought 40 bare root yew in November 2025 to form a hedgerow. Only 12 have survived. Bought 5 from another source, in the same hedgerow and treated exactly the same. All 5 are putting on healthy new growth.
Took a Hopes Grove tree to my local plants man. They suggest they were out of the ground for too long before being planted. I planted the same day they were delivered so no delay my end.
Contacted Hopes Grove and had no reply for 6weeks due to it being their “busy season”. They then suggested I was over/underwatering.
Given the 💯 survival of trees from another nursery that are in the same hedgerow and treated exactly the same, this is not the issue.
Avoid at all costs.
Terrible quality plants.
