No a great experience and can not recommend!

This company charged me to repair my Neff Hobb and I paid in advance. The engineer arrived and checked the fuse and complained the hobb was very old. He then proceeded to leave and say he would send a quote for the parts and re-visit. The office then advised the Hobb was beyond economical repair, due to age and parts, as it needed a main board and starter. They sent a quote for a new Hobb with another install. I took another opinion from Neff, who repaired it with a £50.00 part and charged an equivalent repair charge. (The Hobb has no main board, btw, the internet would tell you this!) The office administrator (mentioning no names, but only 1) was rude, aggressive, had very poor listening skills, and promptly advised me that despite my own research and advising them that it only needed the £50.00 part, they knew better and were very argumentative. They have refunded the initial fee, so thanks, but be wary of the advice offered and do your own research! That replacement Hobb was not required, just a repair and part. (No thanks to the substandard replacement £420 plus £159 installation)

Thank you for your review.

We are surprised by your comments, particularly as you were not ultimately charged for the service. Following your dissatisfaction with our assessment, we refunded the fee in full, so it is unclear why you feel it is appropriate to leave such a negative review when no financial loss was incurred.

We believe your review is misleading and does not accurately reflect what happened during our attendance.

Our engineer inspected your approximately 12-year-old Neff hob and advised that the appliance required parts with an estimated repair cost of close to £200. Based on the age of the appliance, the potential repair costs involved, and the risks associated with dismantling an older appliance, we advised that repair was not economically viable and that replacing the hob would be a more sensible option.

Our engineer also explained that, due to the age of the appliance, there was a possibility that fixings and screws could be rusted or seized, creating additional complications and risks during the repair process. As a responsible company, we will not carry out work that our engineers consider uneconomical or potentially risky.

During our discussions, you repeatedly advised us which part you believed needed replacing and how the repair should be carried out. While we respect every customer's opinion, we cannot base technical decisions on internet research or customer instructions. We follow the recommendations of our trained and experienced engineers, especially where safety is involved.

The replacement hob options we provided were simply offered as a convenience based on products we had available in stock. Customers are under no obligation to purchase from us and are always free to obtain alternative quotes or opinions elsewhere.

While another company may have chosen to proceed with a different repair approach, that does not make our assessment incorrect. Our advice was based on the information available at the time, the age of the appliance, the anticipated repair costs, and our duty to act responsibly and safely.

We stand by our engineer's professional assessment and the conduct of our staff, who follow company procedures and industry standards at all times.

I recently used Home Needs Appliances…

I recently used Home Needs Appliances for my washing machine repair, and I must say that I had a great experience with them. From the very beginning, everything was transparent and straightforward - there were no hidden costs or surprises. The customer service was excellent, and the repair was done quickly and efficiently. I was kept informed throughout the process, which was reassuring.

After such a positive experience with the repair service, we decided to purchase a new fridge freezer from Home Needs Appliances. The price was very competitive, and the delivery was prompt and hassle-free. The installation was also perfect, with the team taking great care to ensure everything was working correctly before leaving.

Overall, I have been thoroughly impressed with Home Needs Appliances. Their commitment to customer service and satisfaction is evident, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of home appliances or repairs. Thank you for such a great experience.

homeneedsappliances-poor services

I ordered a fridge/freezer from this shop which was, eventually, delivered at 9pm, despite being given several estimated delivery times. However, the door on the fridge/freezer would not close properly and there was a hole in the freezer door. I reported this and they came to take it back. I then went back to the shop and specifically stated that I wanted a 50/50 frost free. When it arrived it was the wrong size, a 60/40, not what I had ordered, so they took this one back. The third was delivered and although it was the correct size, I found hairs in the freezer compartment and immediately contacted them and was told it had been due to the weather whilst they were delivering it. I did not want to make a fuss, so I filled the freezer with food. However, the next morning, there was a puddle of water on the floor beside the freezer, it was not working at all and all my food was defrosted. I then found a sticker on the back of the fridge/freezer which stated "CURRYS FAULTY ITEM", even though I had been assured it was brand new. After several calls and being given a time slot for uplift, they finally came 2 days later, time I had to take off work. I emailed several times to complain and seek compensation for the food waste and time off work. Only one of my calls was answered, but they subsequently hung up the phone. They have since said that they did not charge me for a delivery or collection of the faulty goods and have now been ignoring all emails and phone calls.
