inconsiderate of customers
My purchase of a refridgerator and dishwasher from Home Depot was the worst experiance spending $1476.77. I had to remove a door so we could bring the fridge in. Upon delivery I paid for installation of the dishwasher which they could not do because they carried only one size of supply hose so it was returned. The fridge was installed and turned on. When the fridge was cold we filled it with the food we had in coolers. The next day the fridge stopped working and we had to throw out all the food. Take the door off again so we could return the fridge. I ordered the dishwasher again and just had it delivered. I bought a universal dishwasher kit that Home Depot sells and installed it myself. I didn't hang the door waiting for the replacement refrig. Upon delivery they had to switch how the door opens and get the fridge running. When we started filling the fridge we noticed the door rubbed when closing. I called customer service and they said they would send a tech out to fix it. He came and said send it back to get a new one and someone would call us. NO ONE called us. So far I missed 6 partial days of work, 3x's removed and refilled fridge, 3x's took kitched door off and put back and will loose another half day of work waiting for them to pick up this refrig. Home Depot CEO Ted Decker, is this how you treat your loyal customers?

Purchase a refrigerator and paid for haul to remove and was never removed. Called Customer Care and didn't assist me. Contact Home Deport Corp office and spoke to Eric 800-319-8108 and he was able to assist me with my issue and I'm very happy with his assistance.
Stay away if in Tennessee.
Whatever you do, do not trust Home Depot / Character Door / RFInstallations for your door needs. They are not trustworthy and will lie to cover their own butts to get past the warranty period just to leave you high and dry with bad installations and having to pay for your own repairs. The people they to trouble shoot concerns really have no experience in what to look for. They misrepresent the findings in order to not pay for damages to personal property they caused.
STAY AWAY ESPECIALLY IF IN TENNESSEE
Unreasonable Policy.
Home Depot delivered an $800.00 dishwasher and told my spouse that she had 48 hrs to install it and if it doesn’t work calls them and they will pick it up. But after 48 hrs deadlines your are out of luck and that is their policy. I am out of town until next week and will install it my self when get home. The bottom lines is that Home Depot wants to install it when they delivered their product and that I think they implemented the 48hrs policy. To make the long story short. I told Home Depot to pick your product up I am done. After 40+ years with them and many deployments I’ve ran into this BS. Hey Home Depot there are some us old timers that DYI and not depending on your so called over priced professional installation craps.
I went into the Home Depot right before…
I went into the Home Depot right before closing of course to not very much helpful but one lady reluctantly took my money and put it on my credit card and she said she remember me and I did it before and she's really rude told me I wasn't nice I couldn't believe it I never been posted that I asked about which way you scan it nothing then it's like don't do that do this you're not nice I'm going to do you like you do me and never heard of you unmannered people there anyways Fairfax Circle store location I have a good friend who works there but you know they just hire anybody and they're not paid to be be nice and I don't have to be nice to them purely a transaction when you talk takes too much time just to ask them a question and then verify it on the calling credit card people so just they get a payment is all you got to do you don't have to talk to these people they act like like you're supposed to be their friend no stars for Home Depot Fairfax Circle customer service Virginia
My recent experience with the Corona…
My recent experience with the Corona store on Ontario Ave was unpleasant. One manager I spoke with said she could help but did not. I wish I could remember her name because I would mention her by name. I asked for the store manager which I was told was Summer. I was not able to speak with her so I asked for a call back. Nothing! So much for good customer service.
Delta Mechanical is a horrible sub…
Delta Mechanical is a horrible sub contractor looking to take advantage of Home Depot customers.
Technician was very friendly but the company he works for is very expensive and ridiculous in their pricing for flange repair. I was charged for replacing a flange on two toilets he was already replacing the toilets. So with toilets already out the repair took about 15 minutes and the part is about $10 . His company charged $350 dollars for this job. They were already charging $620 labor to replace 2 toilets. That’s $970 for 2 hours work. He and Delta Mechanical would not listen, this part fails on most toilets so I’m sure it is common practice for Delta Mechanical to pull this price gouge on most toilet installation.

Everton G Dudley is the best and very helpful. He goes out of his way to help my boss every morning.
Unsafe, unstable, irresponsible company
Horrible horrible company, to buy from, to support, to work for, or anything. Their employees are miserable, overworked, underpaid, and deserve so much better from a billion dollar company. The management is so irresponsible and inconsiderate. They don’t know who they are hiring and they don’t know anyone’s value. They just have random people all around doing unsafe things and not knowing what their job description is. Also only strict on law required training, they could not care any less about safety and job department training.
Sometimes you get such bad service that…
Sometimes you get such bad service that you wonder how a place stays in business, but you usually don’t equate that to Home Depot. You shop at Home Depot because you know that if you have a problem they are going to make it right, but the Home Depot in Texarkana didn’t make it right, and didn’t even follow Home Depot’s return policy. Tried to return a lawn tractor the day after I purchased it after I found it was leaking oil. Home Depot website clearly says tractors can be returned up to 30 days after purchase, but they would not exchange it and would not refund it. Called the HD main line and they called the Texarkana store and indicated I could return it if I cleaned up the oil (which was weird). I was transferred to the store and explained the situation and was asked if I wanted to talk to the manager. In a last act of cowardice the manager would not take my call but I was disconnected. Extremely disappointed and I’m done with Home Depot. I guess be careful what you buy there because regardless of HD’s return policy Texarkana may or may not accept the return and make it right.
Too Strict!
I was paying bills one evening, and the bill for Home Depot was paid in full as I aways do. But it turns out it was after midnight. So they charged me a late fee. This is CitiBank, and so I suppose I should write a review of them. They absolutely refused to dismiss the late fee on my phone call. They told me I had to pay. So I canceled my card. Now I have no way to pay the late fee. I can still get into my canceled account online, but it will not accept payments. This is so frustrating.
Call and make sure there will be someone to help you or you will be wasting your time
You could have at least one person in each department to help customers.
Came in to buy quartz counter tops and there was no one that knew how to do it, so they wanted me to make an appointment and come all the way back in a one ton diesel truck and that makes me feel like my time is not important.
The guy in the paint dept at 6pm was great!
I went to pick up one of my orders…
I went to pick up one of my orders including two different boxes two weeks ago from Home Depot on Rosco Blvd. Due to some minor damages to one of the boxes, I rejected the pick up. the person in customer service named Veronika paged the responsible department and both were trying to check available stocks in different Aisles. Finally they came up with a solution that made me happy. Thank you guys for the time you spent on my case.
Expensive A/C delivered banged up!
Purchased an expensive A/C Unit and it was delivered all bent & banged up like as if it was rolled down a flight of stairs. Called Home Depot & they had UPS pick it up yesterday. Today I called & was told I wont get a credit for 4 or 5 days. So now by the time I get my money back to purchase another one half the summer will be over.
I should have bought it from Amazon since they issue the credit as soon as a defective item is picked up, they don't punish the customer! Shame on you HD!
I bought a Dwalt mower in Home Depot…
I bought a Dwalt mower in Home Depot jun30 2025 after 11 months that mower was not working and Dwalt company recommended one place to repair that mower and I paid $63.42 because they said was no changed any part and the warranty was not considered .how is possible if the warranty of labor and part is 1 year.I think that company has to return my money .I would like Home Depot help me.
First poor customer service and bad productlet me start by saying I gave 1…
First let me start by saying I gave 1 star because 0 stars was not an option. I purchased a Hampton bay ceiling fan, and took me 2 trips to Home depot because there was no one available to help even though help was asked for multiple times. Oiad a contractor to come to my house and install it, since HD doesn't install fans they only refer you to local contractors which I can do myself. anyway the light kit did not work and I had to have the contractor take the entire ceiling fan down and drag it back to the store instead of just swapping out the light kit. now I have a hole in my ceiling with dangling wires until I have to pay the contractor again to come back and install again. when I called the Ohio Township store Eli, was very rude and unhelpful., no apologies or anything basically tough luck. DO NOT RECOMMEND HD for anything. no employees to help in store and rude managers on the phone.also called their 1800HD Number to be told they only handle online orders. when I returned the fan The return counter was closed and I had to drag it farther to the service desk where I was interrogated by the cashier probably barely 18 years old and some random other guy comes over and starts looking at the wires and poking around the fan , never said anything to me. went back to get a new one and again no one to help anywhere..

We purchased a $1,200 Ninja BBQ from HomeDepot.com. After three delivery delays, we received a text saying it would arrive in 10 minutes. An hour later, the website showed it as delivered, but it never arrived.
The delivery photo was clearly not our house. My wife then spent 90 minutes on the phone being treated as though she was lying or trying to keep the BBQ while requesting a refund. Home Depot refused to compare the photo with our previous deliveries, which would have confirmed it was the wrong address.
When I called back, they offered to resend it with no expedited shipping, discount, or meaningful apology.
Home Depot’s delivery company lost a $1,200 product, yet we were treated like the thieves. Completely unacceptable customer service.
Roanoke,Texas Store
Roanoke, Texas. You only had 3 gas cook tops on display. All the most expensive! The dishwashers were not screws in and so the doors were very hard to open. The sales lady was nice. I can’t buy anything if you don’t have it for me to see. No choices. No more discount on appliances for military.Shame on you!
Warning to Consumers: Home Depot Delivery Damage
Warning to Consumers: Home Depot Delivery Damage, Driver Bullying, and Unfair Insurance Releases by Sedgwick - their insurer
I am sharing my experience to warn other consumers about the severe risks of using Home Depot’s delivery services and their third-party insurers.
The Incident: A Home Depot delivery driver failed to deliver the items I purchased, caused physical damage to my home, arrived angry and belligerent hours before the allotted delivery time and engaged in bullying and threatening behavior during the interaction.
The Claims Process: Home Depot’s insurance provider - Sedgwick attempted to heavily low-ball our property damage claim.
Deceptive Legal Tactics: Home Depot’s insurer Sedgwick pressured us to sign their standard release form that falsely classifies any quickly settled legitimate property damage case as a "nuisance claim." The contract contains strict "gag clauses" designed to stop consumers from posting online or telling others about the incident.
Do not trust Home Depot’s delivery network. If their drivers damage your property, their insurance process is designed to minimize their liability and silence affected homeowners so other homeowners will continue to buy their products and delivery services without being aware of the risk.
FORMAL COMPLAINT SENT TO Home Depot
FORMAL COMPLAINT SENT TO Home Depot
BREACH OF WARRANTY AND SERVICE OBLIGATIONS
Date: July 13, 2026
TO: Home Depot Customer Service
TO: Allstate Insurance/SquareTrade
RE: Complete Service Failure and Consumer Rights Violation and Lemon Law
Invoice #6611 00097 55943
Model: Frigidaire FFTR2045VS
Dear Representatives,
I am writing to formally document a serious breach of warranty service obligations that has left my family without a refrigerator for an unacceptable period, causing significant hardship and financial burden.
PRODUCT AND WARRANTY DETAILS:
Refrigerator purchased from Home Depot: July 10, 2024
5-year warranty plan purchased and paid in full
Product failed: Under 2 years of ownership
Initial claim filed: July 3, 2026
SERVICE FAILURES:
Excessive Wait Time: Allstate/SquareTrade scheduled initial service for July 13, 2026 - a 10-day wait for a critical appliance failure.
Confirmed Appointment: On July 12, 2026, Electrolux sent text confirmation for July 13, 2026 service window (10 AM - 12 PM). I took time off work to accommodate this confirmed appointment.
Missed Appointment: On July 13, 2026, NO TECHNICIAN ARRIVED during the confirmed window.
False Emergency Claim: Electrolux later called (from 844-327-7374) claiming the technician had an "emergency." This identical excuse was used previously for another repair, on a washer, suggesting a pattern of deception.
Further Delay: The ONLY next available appointment: July 21, 2026 - resulting in 3 WEEKS WITHOUT REFRIGERATION.
DAMAGES AND HARDSHIP:
Lost wages from taking time off work for confirmed but missed appointment
Forced to purchase expensive (junk food) & prepared meals and beverages for family
Health concerns from lack of refrigeration during summer heat
Ice melts in hours based on the current heat wave
Inability to store fresh food or cold beverages for children
Stress and inconvenience to household
DEMANDS FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION:
Emergency refrigerator repair within 24-48 hours
OR an immediate FULL refund for the refrigerator ($577.64) and the warranty ($150) plus tax
Compensation for lost wages and additional food costs
Reimbursement for spoiled food from initial failure
Investigation into Electrolux service patterns
