Phil from customer service aftercare team came to our home to make some minor repairs and did an outstanding job yet again! 10/10 for his personable and professional conduct.

We have great experience with Richard who works at Hill and always does the job with neatness and excellence.

Not a building related review but a shocking one from one of the drivers!!! Driving to work in the Chelmsford area and he nearly caused 2 accidents with myself and another car trying to squeeze in without no room. I then followed him to a point where he pulled into a different road to off a roundabout to ‘lose me’, clearly knew he was in the wrong. But what he forgot is that he is driving a company van!! Big mistake. Won’t drive like that again.

A great experience from the day we moved in. Hills representatives were on hand as we arrived and welcomed us to our new home. Inevitably there were a few snagging issues. These were dealt with immediately and to our satisfaction. The ongoing support has been fantastic. Everyone on site is helpful and considerate. A special thank you to Teresa, Sonya, Richard and Shane for all their help.

I had a shocking experience this morning with one of the drivers from Hills Building Group in Colchester. While driving to work at 7 am, I approached a roundabout when the driver of a Hills Building Group van (registration number BU18VUV), who had come from Ipswich, recklessly sped through, nearly causing a serious accident. He almost hit a car stopped at the traffic lights, and because there were cars behind me, I was unable to slow down in time and nearly collided with him.

As drivers, we all know the rules of the road, but this individual showed a complete disregard for the safety of others. His behavior was dangerous and could have led to a serious accident. I have the incident recorded on my dash cam and will be reporting it to Essex Police immediately. It's unacceptable that someone driving a company vehicle would be so careless, putting others at risk.

This kind of reckless driving reflects poorly on Hills Building Group, as it shows a lack of respect for the community and for road safety.

Absolutely terrible experience with Hills and their aftercare sales and customer service team. In my opinion, very poor customer service levels, constantly chasing up on emails to get works done and completed to the property (after completion). 5 months later to get the garden sorted. Their original sales executive was also very confusing and misinformed us about the property and boundaries etc until a few days prior to exchange. By that point we were heavily invested. Feeling extremely put down and would not recommend based on all of this and the overall service.

Alright if you don’t mind your husband being promoted and not given a pay rise to match. Women from the office sending inappropriate messages, Christmas work do where the partners aren’t even invited so that more frolicking can take place.

People have wives and partners at home, in my opinion that should be respected.

We’ve just completed on our purchase and we are so pleased with our new home! We’ve dealt with a few people in the sales office but we have to say a big thank you to Emma.W (not been able to find Emma’s surname) as she got us to this point with the final inspection and serving notice in time for us to complete on our estimated date(today) I’d also like to say thank you to everyone that worked on our house & a massive thank you to Leon (site manager) and Mo (assistant site manager) they’ve been amazing and ran through everything with us. When the keys were being handed over we also had the pleasure of meeting Mr Hill, he was so friendly and was so lovely to have him congratulate us on our new home. We can’t recommend Hills Building Group enough and will be telling friends and family to buy with you if they are thinking of buying a New build. We are so pleased with our home and the finished result just shows the high standards!!

Very unhappy with the news that the Exclusive development we were sold is not to remain this way, application after application have been made each time changing the approach as they are refused, normal you might say but to build a 25mtr 2 storey building through the main access route to the development for a new Tesco store and 52 car parking spaces is not in keeping with an Exclusive development especially when an existing store already services the local community. Residents will now have to get in their vehicles to shop! More traffic moving backwards to and from the village, 6am to 11pm opening hours, delivery lorries at all hours, unsociable behaviour in hidden parking areas, hidden areas next to a children play area were individuals can lerk putting young lives at risk, commercial lighting impacting local residents bedrooms, unsafe parking, increased risk of accidents at a new junction 39’ from a 70mph zone, wildlife impacted by reducing green areas and an increase in rats from refuse/waste storage... Not a very eco friendly, village or countryside focused solution.
