Wrong Delivery

The chocolate I ordered as a gift has not been delivered to the correct recipient. The “proof of delivery” you provided shows a different person and address, unrelated to my order. Unlike other Birmingham chocolate companies I regularly use, there has been no follow-up with Royal Mail, no correct name or photo, and no real support.
I have received no proper response to my email, which is unacceptable. This has caused a lot of inconvenience and disappointment. Please urgently investigate and resolve this by ensuring delivery or issuing a full refund.

Very poor and unfair service!

We turned up this morning after seeing this in the local guide. We were advised to use the gift shop and cafe quickly as a coach load of 41 people were due to visit. We shopped and then went to use the cafe. We were asked by the same man if we'd booked. No....you told us to come in here quickly before the coach party descended. We were told sorry, no tables free, even though the coach party were not there and empty tables. Very poor service, we left immediately. Fair enough if we had been told in the first place it was fully booked, but to be invited to go in and then told no!

No chocolate for £50

I wanted to book a chocolate tasting for my dad’s birthday, however you had to select a date and time. I opted to buy £50 of vouchers to cover the cost and he could book at a time to suit him. It was meant to be a gift after all. They booked, inputting the the voucher code. When they turned up, they were told they couldn’t use the voucher on the premises, only for online orders which incur £6.95 postage and packaging fees (when he lives locally) and an undisclosed other fee of £0.60, much decreasing the value of the voucher. This feels like I have been ripped off, and what was meant to be a nice experience for a birthday has become stressful. Not what chocolate is meant to be.

Outstanding home chocolate tasting

I only found out about The Highland Chocolatier late last year and I immediately ordered 2 small taster boxes, one for a friend, the other for me. We both loved the chocolates. So, having invited 2 friends round yesterday for an Easter Lunch I decided to start with a chocolate tasting and ordered the dark chocolate tasting boxes. A marked place mat is provided and a guided talk, by Iain, was easily accessed on the web. We did this b4 eating lunch, mainly because the lovely girl I talked to advised doing the tasting with water, no alcohol!!! So, manned with an excellent rose champagne (Camal Valley) and lots of water we did our best. We just ate half a chocolate each for the tasting (taking the other half home!) - they are quite rich, but in a wonderful way. I didn't bother with the intro talk (sorry Iain) but went straight to the dark chocolate tasting option. It was both interesting and informative and the chocolates absolutely delicious....my friends declared yesterday's lunch the best Easter lunch ever..but maybe that reflects on my cooking! Seriously, if u have family and friends who like chocolates and want to do something a little different, I can highly recommend the chocolate tasting boxes. Taste sublime, guides excellent and fantastic value for money. A huge Thank You to Iain and his team.

Stunning chocolate restaurant in Scotland

First and foremost, this restaurant is a chocolate boutique! A place where you can savour genuine chocolate! Let me begin by saying that I am a person who is quite discerning when it comes to the quality of food, especially sweets and chocolates. And let me tell you, this place is my paradise!
Whenever I visit, I always order their rich, dark chocolate. It's served in a small, steaming cup, and the aroma of this beverage is indescribable. All I can say is that you must try it if you love chocolate! Another must-try is their chocolate cake. Its taste is incomparable! The sponge is soft and moist, the cream is delicate yet light, and it has a wonderfully harmonious, slightly spicy flavour with a hint of bitterness. And to top it all off, it's covered in exquisite chocolate. I've been a fan of this cake for over 8 years now.
The prices in this café perfectly match the quality of their desserts and services.
I want to extend my special thanks to the restaurant's staff. I've been a loyal customer for quite some time, and I always enjoy the hospitality and professionalism of the staff. I often bring my friends and guests and their reactions are always a delight! If you ever find yourself in Scotland, this place is a must-visit.

VERY EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET!

After seeing this place mentioned in Tom Kerridge's TV programme, I ordered two tasting flights online for home delivery. Arrived early, good job my neighbour was in!
So we set up our tasting flight as per the instructions, and looked forward to a wonderful experience.
Boy was I underwhelmed!
I knew the price before I committed to buy but we were expecting so much more for our £50 plus for two small boxes. I seriously think the packaging cost more than the chocolates. Never felt so stupid for buying anything before, and I've bought some crap online.
Grossly over hyped and Grossly overpriced!

Exceptional chocolate

A chocolate lover's heaven. Very large unusual range. Exceptionally smart and friendly staff. A little free taster offered that is so tasty it encourages you to buy more. Probably some of the most expensive chocolates I've ever bought.

Chocolate Paradise

Exquisite chocolates, great taste; seriously addictive! Excellent customer service, easy ordering, beautifully designed, presented and boxed, safe and secure packaging for transit, arrived on date requested. Initially saw “The Highland Chocolatier” shop on a Christmas film called, “ Christmas in the Highlands” and thought it was just part of a gorgeous film set. I looked it up on Google and found it was real, so placed an order. If you want to treat yourself, family or friends, look it up, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended; will definitely order again. One box of these chocolates is simply not enough!
