Be aware of Hayward’s sharp practice!
Living in Portugal this review refers to my experience with Hayward equipment rather than individual dealers. On the installation of my pool six years ago I purchased a Hayward Shark pool cleaner at a cost of thousand odd euros. Since then the drive belt has broken four times and recently it stopped working completely. Taken to a Hayward dealer for repair I was advised it would cost 80 euros to inspect but this would be refunded when the repair was authorised. Some three weeks later I am presented with an estimate of 1550 euros for the parts required (you can still buy this model new online, with 3 year warranty for e1000, if you were daft enough). Needless to say these people are just in business to rip you off for the inspection fee. Absolutely disgraceful service and a testament to the quality of Hayward equipment.
