Hayward products - RUN to another supplier

Problems from the onset with this automation solution. Pool installed back in 2021. Reboot issues, took months and months to get the OmniLogic Controller system somewhat stable and finally after about 2 years - the entire control box had to be replaced (bad/loose bus bar - sounds like a manufacturing defect). Vendor who services the area under their partnership agreement wanted exorbitant amounts to make a 30 min trip to do warranty troubleshooting. In the interim, the hot tub actuator valves and 4 out of 5 omni logic pool lights have gone out. Programming doesn't work for most automation post the box swap. Terrible experience.
Equipment seems to be garbage, vendors supporting it are sharks, and its nearly impossible to get good communication out of the Hayward District manager.
I would not choose this as my automation or equipment provider again given the choice.

BUYER BEWARE - Garbage Recent Products

Deserves Zero stars. Their products recently are utter garbage, the quality of the products are designed to just make it past warranty, then you are on your own!!!

Purchased V-Flex upgrade kit for it because some bearings got a bit tight after 8 years of operation. DO NOT Buy this upgrade kit, it is absolute garbage!!! The bearings in the bearingless system collapsed in just over 1 year of operation, these bearings go on the v-flex mechanism, both wore through the garbage bearing retainer plastic. Picture of this included, it looks like some employee went home and 3D printed these with extremely bad filaments. This upgrade kit is stupidly expensive so do yourself a favour and do not do it. Put your money into a different brand spend a little extra and seriously reward yourself down the track.

This company is a total rip off

This company is a total rip off, their products used to be good but there now garbage and being made with cheap parts that Hqayward themselves are aware of. Bought a New H series gas pool heater, at a cost of $3200 at the end of August 2024. Used it for 1 month winterized it and covered it.
Started it back up at the end of June it wouldn’t start. Service tech came out and had to replace the ignition switch and flow valve. In September it started to leak alot. Called the service tech back he stated the heat exchanger was bad and needs to be replaced at the coast of $2800 if Hayward doesn't cover it through their warranty. Well they say it's my fault...bad pool chemistry and will not cover it. Think about this, the heat exchanger uses copper pipes your home uses copper pipes to bring water to/from your home that also uses the same chemicals to bring clean drinking water to you. These pipes went bad within 4 months of use. Total garbage. Don’t buy, stay away and they’ll find any excuse not to honor their warranty

Water inside pool light

Our LPCUS pool light has water inside the factory sealed area. Although it is now beyond the warranty period, this factory defect shortened the life of our very expensive pool light. Their customer service response was like others have reported. They pointed me back to contact a local authorized representative to assess my situation. I requested their customer service to give me some $$ consideration for this loss of expected life. We have a new light installed so the water filled light is ready to be shipped back to them. No response from them. After other follow ups, no customer service response. (Not successful in adding a picture)

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Their customer service is terrible. Twice I have encountered products purchased from them that fail during the warranty period and you have to get the pool provider to call them multiple times to get it done. It takes months for them to address any warranty claims.

I bought a Hayward DE6020 pool filter about two…

I bought a DE6020 pool filter about two years ago, it has a three year warranty. The issue is, the send a link for a warranty claim that makes no sense and only has you look for a local company for support. I bought from Leslie's pool supplies, they want to charge me $149.99 for them to come and tell me what I already know. My manifold has one of the tips break off and it's not filtering correctly. Why should I pay money for a product still under warranty? Hayward has definitely lost me as a future customer as well as many others from what I have read. What's the point of having a warranty if you do not really warrant anything. I do not expect products to never have an issue, but take care of the issue if it's a manufacturing problem, is that too much to ask. I am extremely disappointed with Haywards customer service.

I will never buy another Hayward…

I will never buy another Hayward product. Their warranty services is by the far the worst I’ve been waiting since March for a pump basket housing and all I’m getting is the run around and these people take weeks just to email you back. Save your money and time Hayward is definitely not it for the pool industry anymore!

We bought a Hayward S3 Salt System

We bought a Hayward S3 Salt System, nothing but Trouble.First the Salt Cell was bad,Replaced it under Warranty.Worked about 1 Month, now the Circuit Board is Bad.They are going to cover in under Warranty but pool has down 1 week so far waiting on the Part.I have to purchase Chemicals at my Cost do to the Salt System down.The ship time for the Replacement parts is Terrible.I wish that in never Purchased this Product.

About 3 years ago we bought a H Power…

About 3 years ago we bought a H Power and was installed by the dealer. Now the unit is no longer working an we have to buy a new one. Very disappointing that a 600€ unit has to be replaced (no warranty according to the dealer) in just 3 years. Poor quality it seems.

I purchased the Hayward Pool filter…

I purchased the Hayward Pool filter approximately one year ago and within the first year, it started leaking from the top. Dealing directly with customer service was difficult and time-consuming. I’ve waited weeks for an authorized service tech was a fiasco. when he finally showed up, he couldn’t even install the new part which then started leaking again months later. I’ve waited over three months recently again for Hayward to make this right all the while the filter was constantly leaking water. Again getting a proper service technician to even come out was a joke after waiting months for part, which finally came and didn’t even match the original part exterior color. As of this writing, the service technician who started with me prior to Thanksgiving, has still not completed the service order. I would seriously consider going with another pool, filter, system, and company.

Horrible customer service

I spent nearly 1000.00 on a brand new Aquatrol Salt System. After 3 months it stopped working. I tried the troubleshooting listed on their website and still cannot get it to turn on. Now I must take to have fixed. Hayward only agrees to pay for parts and not the service. I'll be out no less than 200.00. This is ridiculous. They would not even talk to me about replacing.
