Water fantastic, too difficult to open, when open,
bottle wobbles and spills, doesn’t close so spills happen. Water great, packaging crap

We flew to Heathrow from Barcelona 26 April 2026. We were issued with bottles of Harrogate spring water 250ml best before : P2026/03/11 BB/E:2029/03/11 6070 05:10. It tasted horrible, stale and we couldn’t drink it. We noticed on leaving the plane that many hadn’t drunk much of their water assumed it’s from the same batch. I have retained my bottle and am considering sending it to Trading Standards or the Environment Agency for evaluation.

Harrogate Spring Water have put in a planning operation to expand their operations in Harrogate that will involve destroying part of a community woodland. This is despite the woodland being described as:
Deciduous Woodland Priority Habitat (DEFRA)
Asset of Community Value (North Yorkshire Council)
Special Landscape Area (North Yorkshire Council)

Harrogate Spring Water has recently disappointed several customers with issues such as a bad taste, scale buildup, and even causing stomach aches. Many are advising others to avoid the brand until the water quality improves. STOP 🛑 buying it until it’s been improved

Not what’s happened to this water but Ordered a crate through our work system and OMG it is disappointingly bad. Such a bad taste. Avoid this stuff for a while.

well after purchasing sparkeling spring in a glass bottle at over a pound a throw i was plesently surprised by the taste,And coming from harrogate myself i am acustomed since childhood to going down the valley gardens,and noting the padlocked green man hole covers where the springs are and then walking down to the pump room where sulpher water comes out of a tap in the wall,once smelt and tasted one never forgets quite unpleasent to say the least.now when i came to purchase my next supply of spring water i purchasd a case od 1.5ltr plastic bottles,on smelling and drinking i could immediatly smell and taste sulpher water,on looking at the analysis there was a compleatly different set of figues compaired to the label on the glass bottles,and yes the Sulphate content was considerably higher along with other chemicals,i contacted HS 3 times by email asking if it was a temporary thing,and surly 2 sets of figuers means 2 different supplies of water.on checking this i found the details of 2 x 45 m deep bore holes (british geological soc, online ),not springs but ground water pumped to the surface,then HS advertise saying their water is from the pine woods,well given the fact thay extract at 10 tones per hour from just one hole,that would mean a collosal and impossible amount of rain falling on the woods there about half a mile square, at the most .So something is decidely fishy here,the advertising the duality of the product the fact thay wont acnowledge any emails asking about this strange water that smells of sulpher and probably contains the poison hydrogen sulphide . So i would like refunding for water which i had no idear i was buying.being missled by the spring water from the glass bottles,same label same name different composition,i feel cheeted and missled,and offered no redress.
