Poor Customer Service - full of promise then silence

I had a very disappointing experience with this estate agent due to their poor customer service. Communication was inconsistent and often delayed, leaving me to chase for updates. When responses did come through, they were vague and unhelpful, which only added to the frustration. No acknowledgement of emails only to be told passed to another colleague who was on annual leave (helpful).

What stood out most was the lack of professionalism and accountability. Issues were not handled efficiently, and it often felt like my concerns were being dismissed rather than resolved. For something as important as buying/selling a property, I expected a much higher level of care and attention.

Overall, the experience was stressful and unnecessarily difficult. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience, and I hope they take steps to improve their communication and customer service in the future.

Concerned about reliability of cars but unwilling to provide their own

I would never ever rent a house out through this company, or buy a house through them

I do tbf, live in Manchester and earn a "middle to higher income" too. The only reason why I even upgraded my car was because I wanted cheap electricity and to get that, I needed an EV of some description. This happens to be under 10 years old

The company I work for, doesn't bill expenses for cars over 10 years but they do allow you to expense them for train + taxis. If a car passes it's MOT, has no mechanical issues etc.., there is no reason why the car isn't seen as reliable. The 10 year cut off is an arbitrary rule. There are two year old cars that are less reliable than 15 year old cars.

If the company truly cared, they'd refund the taxis / public transport expenses by employees but instead, they refuse to employee 18 year olds who have high insurance costs anyway, just simply for the age of their car. Their 2014 car has also done half the mileage of my 2018 car. In theory, my car should be less reliable due to added wear and tear

When looking to buy a house, I didn't care about the car that the estate agent had. I cared about the service they offered. It seems that this company also is one that's terrible to tenants and great for landlords. This is tbf the norm but it shouldn't be this way. If I wanted to rent a house out, I'd want an estate agent who would be good for both tenant and landlord. These arbitrary rules are part of why people hate estate agents. If they were that concerned, they'd provide a company car but they don't. Apparently they wish to socialise the cost of their running expenses by forcing it on their employees , whilst privatising the profits they make

Absolutely blown away

Absolutely blown away by the high standards at haart estate agents

Apparently, to even be considered for a job, your car needs to meet a strict “under 10 years old” policy because obviously your ability to do the job is directly linked to your vehicle’s registration plate. Makes perfect sense, right?

A young applicant was turned away purely because her car didn’t make the cut not her attitude, not her skills, not her potential just the age of her car. Inspiring stuff.

As someone who was actually looking to buy a property, I can only assume I’d also be judged at the door for driving a 30-year-old car. Maybe they’d prefer I upgrade before enquiring about a house?

It’s reassuring to know that inclusivity and fairness are alive and well just as long as you’ve got a newer car to match.

Needless to say, I’ll be taking my business somewhere that values people over number plates.

Disappointed to hear that this business…

Disappointed to hear that this business blatantly discriminated against a young 18 year old girl because her car was older than 10 years old. If they were a proper company, staff wouldn't need to be using their own cars. Clearly they a mean cowboys!

I used this clown car outfit in East…

I used this clown car outfit in East Ham, London as my rental and property management partners for a few years. The worst service I have ever received in any sector. Communication, responsibility, organising repairs terrible. It came across to me as a chaotic and uncaring culture which resulted in a chaotic and uncaring office. Only one person Marvellous, had any understanding of professionalism but she has left. Too many incidents to list but if you're a landlord avoid this team at all costs as rental and property management agents.

Highly Recommended

I can’t thank Maj and Damien enough for supporting me through the sale of my property. When I initially enquired with Haart I spoke with Maj, he didn’t just book me for a valuation, he took the time to make sure I had thought about and explored all options including renting it out. When he came to my property for the valuation, what impressed me most was that he came with a plan, he had all the comparisons going back to a year before and a plan on how they were going to sell my property. Once on the market, it unfortunately took a dip and we had to reduce the price slightly, when Maj called to give me this news it was done professionally and with empathy. This produced more interest in the property and generated 2 offers. Damien then took over at this point and negotiated on my behalf to achieve an over asking offer. Both Damien and Maj have been there to answer any questions, chase solicitors or buyer and have gone above and beyond to get it over the line. Their communication has been excellent, and I have never waited more than a few hours for a response. I cannot recommend this team highly enough and if you choose them to sell your property you will be in very good hands.

Friendly and professional

During my recent experience with Haarts
I have found all members of the Maidstone team to be professional and friendly. Particularly Nicole who has also been sympathetic in what has been a very difficult time. She is a credit to Haarts.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with haart estate agents. Communication throughout the process was extremely poor, with emails taking far too long to receive a response. It felt very frustrating trying to get even basic updates.

When it came to repairs and maintenance issues, the attitude from the team was equally disappointing. Problems that were reported were not taken seriously, and there was very little urgency shown in resolving them. It often felt like concerns were being dismissed rather than properly addressed.

Overall, the lack of communication and the poor approach to handling repairs made the experience very stressful. I would expect a letting agent to be much more proactive and supportive when dealing with tenants and property issues.

Great experience from Dinesh

Had the pleasure of meeting with Dinesh today who was very professional and informative. Listened to my circumstances with empathy and gave me some perspective on my options. Valuation of my property has also been emailed very promptly. Can’t thank him enough and would highly recommend

Recent Move

I recently moved into a flat. My move-in date was March 3rd, which both myself and the team at Haart agreed to on February 9th. On March 1st–2nd, there was no communication from the team at Haart. I reached out on March 2nd and was told the flat was not ready and that I could not move in.

I spoke to one of the property managers, Vanessa, who said Haart was not at fault because I had not signed the agreement yet. Because of this delay, I had to incur rescheduling costs.

I was then told the flat was being repaired, so I had to wait until March 9th to move in. I completely regret signing this contract. The moment after I paid and received my keys, I noticed that the boiler was leaking and the kitchen countertops were damaged.

I reached out to the team via the email I received from them, but I got no response. I am currently having to switch off my boiler when I don’t need hot water and turn it on only when I do.

The team there does nothing but sit around and scroll the internet. There is no communication from them at all. I honestly regret renting with this company.

I do NOT recommend it.

Avoid if you have any morals

The company called a non-relative with no connection to the sale of my late father’s home, after seeking out details from a database somewhere to try and steal the sale from my estate agents. They did this after seeing the house for sale on Rightmove. Totally underhand, unprofessional, immoral actions. If this is the value base they use, can you really trust them with your house sale? And to top it off- I had to ask them to apologise, no apology offered.
There must be better agents in Grantham. Avoid at all costs.

My experience dealing with Lynna…

My experience dealing with Lynna Proctor at haart has been extremely disappointing.

I made genuine efforts to resolve a tenancy matter amicably and tried to communicate in order to reach a reasonable solution. Unfortunately, the communication I received was dismissive rather than constructive.

When I asked for clarification and tried to come to a mutual agreement and mediate through the situation, I was told that no further communication would be responded to and that the matter would be left to the landlord’s lawyers. This approach felt unnecessarily confrontational and made it very difficult to resolve the issue reasonably.

She made it more encouraging to the landlord to put himself in paying large solicitor fees rather than working in a bona fide way and working in the best interest for both parties.

As a result of the way the situation was handled, I ultimately felt I had no choice but to raise a complaint with Leicester City Council.

Overall, the experience left me feeling that there was little willingness to assist in finding a fair solution or engage constructively to resolve the matter.

The rest of the team have been amazing and understanding. They have tried to do everything they can to help the situation however Lynna being a manager has made it very difficult

I would only recommend using this company if Lynna is not the property manager and this is for both landlord and tenants

@ Haart Nottingham branch

@ Haart Nottingham branch

They fully managed my property for approximately 2 years. To summarise my experience:

- Poor service
- Lack of communication
- Delays in following instructions
- Difficulties getting to speak to anyone
- Not meeting contractual obligations.
- no mutual trust nor confidence due to not being factual about sequence of events or truth being distorted.

Since they have been managing my property I have had to raise two formal complaints with Haart regarding the management of my property which have since escalated to the property Ombudsman one of which was settled and another currently pending.

During the my recent complaint, there were notable delays and inconsistent communication.

While a partial resolution was eventually proposed by Haart, the overall handling of the complaint did not meet the standard I would expect from a national letting agent, particularly once the matter had been formally escalated.

As a result, I have now referred the complaint to the Property Ombudsman for independent review. I hope this leads to improvements in complaint handling and communication for other landlords.

For small businesses I would not recommend fully management service. Also when dealing with the company follow up any verbal communications in writing you will need this in the event of a complaint.

Henry Tillman was a star!

Bought a house via Haart's Hucknall & was very impressed with the whole team, especially a young man called Henry, who went above & beyond to assist as, especially when we encountered delays with our vendors.
He made a stressful experience far more bearable, to which we are very grateful.

Very sad and disappointing experience…

Very sad and disappointing experience with Haart Residential Lettings.
A move-in date of 6 March 2026 was clearly agreed from the start, and we completed all required steps in good faith.
After weeks of consistent follow-ups up until 5 March 2026, there was no communication, we were suddenly told the agreed date could not be honoured.
This caused significant stress and disruption after we had already planned around their confirmed timeline.
We have now withdrawn and are awaiting our full refund — proceed with caution when dealing with this agency.
