Hi, with all these pubs closing now a days, finding a good pub, I believe needs a mention and the Dunes hotel Blackpool is one of them. Came up to see family and went for some pub grub, which was very good. service excellent, staff very polite and attentive. Big open pub nice atmosphere very clean NO sticky tables. also the thing the ladies like are clean loos. Next time we are up to Blackpool we will be going back G Marsh Derby

Went to the wheelhouse in Wollaton for the first time. It was great! Big car park, friendly staff. Fast service, food was tasty and they accept blue light card so I got discount! 🤩 Highly recommend.

Went to Nosey Parker on Saturday, 6th August for drinks at around 9pm.
When we arrived they were already hoovering one side of the bar.
By 10.15pm, they had rang the last orders bell. Which they rang again at 10.30pm and stopped serving drinks altogether.
Music was turned off and they brought the hoover practically to our table and started hoovering around out feet. It disrupted our conversation and made us feel very unwelcome.
As a Greene King franchise, we expected better and we will contacting head office with the same info.
Would not recommend.

Hawthorn Farm - carvery was horrible, no vegetables like just pea’s, carrots, broccoli. Mash was lumpy, roast potatoes hard and no taste Yorkshire pudding you needed a steak knife to cut it. The chocolate brownie was a wedge of chocolate cake - Avoid - the place needs a right good deep clean

Shocking. Worst food ever.

I will unfortunately not be visiting this pub, there was a loud continuous noise from children running around and parents shouting to get their children to come back to the table, one child disappeared out of the door with a knife on his hand/ the food on the other hand is quite good but didn't stop me leaving half a plateful; and heading outside for a bit of peace and quiet

If I could give pub a minus rating I would.
Booked my mums 87th birthday lunch weeks ago - as it’s a carvery for 10 I mentioned we had one vegan in the group. No problem they said, come in the week before and we can sort an option.
A week before I went in, no problem they said our vegetarian carvery is vegan just mention it in the day and they will prep that meal separately.
Today went in for the meal, same response from person who showed us to our table…. just tell the bar when you pay.
So that’s three times it’s been mentioned and each time reassured.
Take our turn to queue, vegan gets there - got told it’s a tart and veg - vegetarian. No, vegan was requested, server vanished to the kitchen came back with a plate of just veg. No sauce, no protein.
Vegan asked for the protein - 10 mins later came back with a tart on a different plate. So cold veg, lukewarm tart, nothing else - no prepared plate as promised, no thought at all. Truly awful and the vegan left hungry!

** FOLLOW UP
Having contacted the company I was then phoned by one of the managers of The Star who was really apologetic and gave me a £50 credit so, in his words, they could redeem themselves. Tonight we revisited and it couldn’t have been more different. Lovely food, great service, table booked for us.
So thank you Charlie - I am so impressed by your effort to put this right.

What a sh*thole..
We ordered our drinks and a "Signature" salad and some fries. They said it'll be 30 mins earliest. We said fine. Waited 45 mins and Signature salad arrived.
Disappointment is something im OK with but this was taking the p*ss. A thin bed of lettuce, soaked in mayonnaise, 4 slice of hallumi chees slice on top.
I made it very clear instantly that calling it a salad was taking the p*ss. Calling it the Signature salad... Charging £14... That is taking the p*ss.
Later bartender girl came and said that it wasn't their fault, they have been asked to do it as it is and this is not the first time someone complaint and they cannot take it any more. We said that it is nothing personal of course but who ever is the manager and the owner, they are clearly the "........es"

Good menu, fully stocked, table service via their great app, food served piping hot and in good time, competitively priced, nice building, clean facilities, friendly staff. Cant fault it, would gladly recommend to anyone.

I travel with work all over and eat at different eateries. I can honestly say this was the worst meal I've ever eaten. Chicken starters where just deep fried processed chicken strips, tastless they tasted like the oil hadent been changed for weeks. The so called sizzling plater was luke warm,.a small and i mean portion of so called onions and peppers, 4 button mushrooms couldn't see the cheese topping nor the tea spoon of pepper corn sauce. Chips were tastless and had the same taste as the chicken strips and dont get me started on the onion rings just pure mush and no onions in site. Total waste of money AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs.

In caldecotte windmill, they are terrible. We were waiting 15 minutes for a grilled prawns (only 3) and it cost 8,99pounds. After talking to the waiter and ask for them, they told us they were busy. After asking them were are them after 45 minutes they appear and they told the prawns were waiting The prawns were uneatable. Incredible I talked to the waiter where we were sitting and she didn't talk to the kitchen just give a chat to go away.
When I want to refund they told me that I change table and that was why it prawns were waiting. I told them that I talked to the waiter and I explicit told her where I was. Incredible she argue with me and said I change. when the really I was talking to her I change table, not just have a chat with her. Why is she there in the bar just talking to customer instead of taking care of the food and what customers have order?
Really bad experience.

The Mount Pleasant Coventry - we recently needed to arrange a gathering of family and friends. We were dealt with really professionally. The food was superb and the staff were really kind and helpful. Suzy in particular. The atmosphere was just right. I fully recommend this pub.

Greene king are a totally unethical company they take money off the government despite being a privately owned multi million pound company for training when they don't have any jobs available or any intention of hiring anybody . Greene king is paid as part of a job centre scheme to train people on universal credit for two weeks with a promise of a interview or work trail . I completed my mfa recently and unable to find employment in the arts ended up at one of these fake job training sessions for Greene king . After filling out like a seven stage course on their establishment I was promised a job if I did well and work trail . When I went to the pub to start my work trail nobody knew who I was eventhough the name of the manager was correct and I was told that Greene King only hired through indeed never the job centre plus I also noticed no bar positions wanted listed on their job site . The jobs were only for office and managers and admin etc .This company is a total scam they take money off the job centre with absolutely no intention of hiring anybody ! I have since told the job centre officer who organised this and been ignored . It is absolutely disgusting that the government is throwing money at rubbish like this and that Greene King would exploit this also .

The Parsonage, Leighbrook Way, Leigh.

The food was atrocious. We ordered steaks and were asked how we'd like them. I asked for medium and wife asked for medium rare. Both were as tough as shoe leather. We sent the food back and it came back exactly the same. We were with others who sent back garlic bread that was stone cold. Everybody said that the food was awful and not the cheapest either. Won't be bothering with Greene King again

Went for a bite to eat at the plainsman mapperly top ,great pub delicious food ,served by Lisa , very friendly staff and dog friendly,would definitely recommend and will be going again thanks to all staff

Ordered online in "The Granary" Dumfries, after 45 mins went to the bar and asked the wait time and I was informed it was 40 mins. Informed them I had already waited 45 mins. They checked with kitchen who said they would prioritise the meals.
Don't use the Greene King app to order as it appears they ignore it.

Stayed at Dartbridge.
Generally run down, had to change rooms because of torn and broken rooflight blind.
The worse thing was the food. When one books online you can book dinner and breakfast included; what they don't tell you is that the menu for overnight guests is different to the menu for walk-in guests, and lacks many meals. Overnight guests should have access to the full menu. At dinner I tried to order 3 items and was told that they weren't available, the next evening they were no longer on the menu.
Breakfast was appalling, the chef obviously doesn't care about quality, the bacon and sausage were undercooked, the black pudding and the 'poached' egg were inedible, and the toaster didn't work.
The grounds weren't cared for, they are so poorly looked after that the staff try to do some gardening because they are embarassed by it. Abandoned outdoor furniture lying around, dead shrubs, etc.
I could carry on running this place down.... but instead I will just advise to not stay with Greene King .

The wait time was like 1 hour for 4 meals did the microwave break like damm
