The staff are prepared to go the extra mile to find me an item that fitted

Bought a couple of hats priced at £18 each on the rack label. When I took these to the till I was charged £28. I queried this and was told that £18 was the member discount price. I spoke to the manager and we looked at the labelling, £18 In big bold font and above in very small print was the actual retail pricing. This contravenes trading standards. Where a shop has a loyalty scheme both the members and non member prices must have equal prominence and be unambiguous. The manager (Skipton branch) had a sarcastic manner. Needless to say we shall not shop at Go Outdoors again.

From the moment I stepped into the shop, the staff were friendly and helpful. I had quite a few items to research and Miranda was really knowledgeable. She helped me by suggesting different options and product. I was very happy with the service I received today. In fact, every time I've visited the Skipton store, the staff have been great and I've always come away with the products I needed and valuable advice.

As we entered the store Miranda helpfully guided us to the products we were looking for and processed our payment, whilst informing us of nearby places to see, cafes and narrowboat tours to do in the immediate vicinity of the store.

Shop is still, however, not very appealing and dark. Poorly laid out too.
Great prices and service made up for it.

Graham and Paul were extremely helpful, giving us ideas for local walked and cafe’s. They steered us in the direction of the right garments we needed for our walking and cycling holiday.

I've reserved an Osprey hydraulics bladder online in the morning and it was ready for collection within couple of hours. I've picked it up the same afternoon. Miranda was very approachable, helpful and pleasant. Excellent customer service and the shop itself is superb.

This was a repeat visit for a different product. Served by the same staff member (Miranda) who again was extra helpful and on top of her game.

Having returned a pair of walking boots to the store Emma, could not have been more helpful. Her customer centric approach made the experience of claiming a refund seamless.
It's good customers service like this that makes loyal customers and a confidence to explore alternative products.

We entered the store and after a short while was approached by Miranda who offered us some assistance. What a helpful and pleasant person she was. Nothing was to much trouble even when we wanted an additional item that was not in stock she went out of her way to check stock etc before ordering the item to be sent to our home. Shop was very clean and tidy.

Excellent range of outdoor wear for women, that doesn’t assume we’re all the top range of fitness! Good range of styles for all shapes and sizes.
Staff were knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Helped me find everything I needed.

Visited to buy a new pair of walking boots. Fantastic service by Paul, he was so helpful and informative. I hate buying new boots as old ones are so comfy but he coached me through the experience!
